All-Star Fruit Racing is a colourful vibrant kart racer that brings new ideas to the track but doesn't execute them well enough to become a worthwhile option. Due to tech issues and dead multiplayer, you may find better enjoyment elsewhere.

With a goofy humor that throws many references at the player, Broforce is a very entertaining run n' gun game, in which mayhem seems to be the main focus. Despite some minor tech drawbacks, it is a fun game to be played with friends.

The developers describe it as simple in its eShop listing, and Voxel Shot is certainly that. You won't be spending a lot of time playing this - it's better picked up in a Switch eShop sale.

As an arcade alternative to FIFA, Legendary Eleven is fun enough. It has nowhere near the depth, though - and cutting out the crashes would help.

Shikhondo - Soul Eater is a fantastic title that will be sure to make veterans and newcomers alike happy with its engaging gameplay and stunning design.

Armello is a beautiful, engaging digital board game that manages to ensure that no two games feel the same. The omission of local play is a shame, but it's one that can be mostly overlooked considering the sheer wonder that the rest of the game encapsulates so wonderfully.

It's still running on a custom engine which means that whilst it lacks some of the features of other FIFA 19 variants, improvements over last year's edition on the Switch are very welcome and noticeable, offering a great experience. Arguably the BEST handheld football title yet. If you don't own FIFA 18 and want a football game, then this is for you.

I could go without the pointless story, but Old School Musical is one of the best rhythm games on the platform at the moment. There's a lot of content to get stuck into, and Switch is the best place to play with its nice HD rumble and console exclusivity. If you're a fan of the genre, or even if you just fancy jamming out to some chiptune, I'd highly recommend this title.

Give yourself a couple of hours with this one and you can blast your way through all 12 levels on offer. A great soundtrack and classic gameplay make this a worthy addition to your Switch library.

Prison Architect is a deep and complex micro-management sim that pays off for putting in the hours. It may be an expensive eShop only title, but it's great fun - do check it out.

Detective Gallo is a charming and beautifully drawn comic point and click, but it's the controls which stop it from scoring higher. It relies too heavily on dragging a cursor back and forth, and there's a fair bit of in-game backtracking too.

Slow-paced, full of grinding and quite ugly, this Harvest Moon isn't for everyone. If you enjoy the genre you'll get something, but others won't have the patience.

Enigmatis 2 is a fun point and click with personality. Voice acting is a bit rubbish, and Switch needs the full trilogy. It's a nice entry point, though.

Though showing it's age a bit and not perfect, De Blob 2 is an entertaining title that is worth checking out and is sure to put a smile on your face for most of the experience.

If you're a fan of the dark with a dash of silly, and really want to explore dungeons while looking like you've just emerged from a Van Helsing convention, then don't hesitate to pick up Victor Vran: Overkill Edition. And grab the collector's edition while you can.

Jumping Joe! & Friends is an entertaining endless runner-cum-platformer that promises hours of fun. Whether alone or with a friend, you can always find new challenges. Just be aware that the gameplay - as should be expected - can feel repetitive after a while, and the brightly-coloured graphics can be a strain on the eyes after a prolonged playing session.

Into the Breach feels like a board game in which you must control a squad of mech robots to defend the planet. With turn-based combat that is as challenging as it is deep, it offers tons of replay value thanks to its many unique squad layouts.

The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk is not much of an improvement on the first game. Unfortunately, the gameplay just failed to click with me. Fans of adventure games may want to check it out, though.

The Spectrum Retreat could very well pass for one of Aperture Science's many testing chambers, and that's a big compliment for a sole independent developer's debut. With a creepy, intriguing narrative with multiple endings, the game doesn't do anything we haven't seen before, but still comes highly recommended for fans of the genre.

Beautiful, serene, and joyous, Planet Alpha is a 2D puzzle-platformer that's optimistic outlook on space travel won't fail to keep pushing you forward.

Sigi - A Fart for Melusina is a fun, retro inspired platformer and whilst you probably won't be revisiting this flatulent little fella too often it's a lovingly inspired homage to some Nintendo greats.

Time Carnage is tough, but has some irritatingly unprecise controls. It's certainly an enjoyable arcade shooter though.

MXGP3 is far more bare bones than it ought to be. It sure does offer some thrills in its racing, but the scale-backs for the Switch version and particularly the loss of the multiplayer modes are impossible to forgive.

Surgeon Simulator CPR is a clumsy, yet enjoyable, outing that is best played with a friend. Not for those that don't like squirting blood... or fun.

Realpolitiks is a difficult strategy to get your head around. With so many manageable things to be watched at once, it it likely to alienate new starters.

Vegas Party is a game that you do not want to buy. If you really want to experience the casino culture, take the money you were thinking of spending on this game and go to a real casino.

Disease -Hidden Object- offers eight not-too-dissimilar levels which won't really live long in the memory. Pick it up when it's on sale.
