    Overall, Ikai is a psychological horror game that only provides horror through its lack of direction, scare tactics, and numerous graphical issues. The atmosphere it creates is brilliant, but it is a disappointment in every other aspect.

    It’s hard to recommend The Ramp simply because of how little it has to offer. It is pretty cheap but there are so many better skating games out there that will keep you entertained for a lot longer.

    Broken Blades promises a blend of platforming, roguelite, and RPG. Sadly, behind its Scribblenauts-style cartoon sprites is ultimately a lazy game. It’s all let down by the individual pieces only ever being “good enough”. No love, effort, or creativity is infused to elevate it to something beyond a game I never, ever want to play ever again.

    Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX is a disappointing package made worse by its presence on the Switch. The main gimmick has lost all its wonder and both games feel like the exact same experience, roughly slapped together by uninteresting and sparse gameplay.

    Those looking for a solid substitute for Mario Strikers on Nintendo Switch won’t find it in PandaBall. It’s a confusing mish-mash of aesthetic charm and undercooked play mechanics, all of which ends up being frustrating for solo and co-op players alike.

    Humorous dialogue and bird customisation don’t do enough to stop SkateBIRD from falling far down the pecking order of skateboarding games available on Switch, with boring levels and controls that are janky and frustrating at best.

    Virtuous Western is very short and very easy. It sets up some vaguely interesting mechanics without ever doing anything challenging with them. If you want an easy way into speedrunning, this might be it; otherwise, steer well clear.

    The core concept of Infestor has potential. It could have been a quirky puzzle platformer, but there’s no challenge here. It’s far too easy, and there’s too little variation in what you’re required to do. Unfortunately, I’m recommending you avoid possession.

    Worms Rumble takes a few elements from the Worms series and recontextualizes them as a multiplayer-focused and action-based title. On top of failing in its most basic gameplay elements, the Switch version also features many annoying bugs.

    Twin-stick shooters occupy a crowded genre, and Ultra Goodness 2 is likely to get lost in the battle. Like the main avatar, the game has good intentions, but there’s not enough variety or originality to sustain interest.

    Drawn To Life: Two Realms appears familiar, but when you start to play it, it just falls apart at the seams. Everything that made the originals fun, particularly the touchscreen controls, has been disregarded, leaving a huge disappointment behind.

    Blatantly inspired by Resident Evil, Outbreak: Epidemic quickly falls into the ‘knock-off’ category rather than the masterstroke one. It’s dark, dingy and disappointing, and that’s how I felt about myself after playing.

    This robotic Metroidvania-by-numbers is sloppily assembled, lazily designed, and controls like the rust’s setting in. Dedicated speedrunners may find a modicum of challenge here, but I found Two Parsecs From Earth a frustrating experience from start to finish.

    Spellbreak is the perfect example of a great game let down by lacklustre performance on the Nintendo Switch. Unique gameplay mechanics aside, being often unable to play the game due to technical issues limits any potential enjoyment to be found.
