Nioh 2 adds some tweaks to a great combat system, with important features that open up a lot of customizations. Nonetheless the recycle of assets shows a creative impasse and an alarming lack of fresh ideas.

Skul: The Hero Slayer is a procedurally generated rogue-lite that revolves around the use of different skulls to change gameplay stiles. In this early access phase, though, it lacks balance. [Early access score = 77]

Corruption 2029 is a mix made of exploration in real time and turn based combat. It has some good ideas, but it is very repetitive due to the same maps and uninspired missions.

We are more than happy to have the chance to replay (Langrisser) and play for the first time (Langrisser II) two seminal SRPG like these ones. That said, the price is a little too high and the remasters a little bare bones.

The combat mechanics are deep and extremely interesting to master, but this new release doesn't offer enough additions to the ones who already bought Exe: Late[st].

Two Point Hospital manages to bring to Switch the same crazy and fun experience we appreciated on PC in 2018. Ironic and able to never take itself too seriously, it's a perfect game when you are on-the-go.

Katana Kami A way of the samurai story is a nice throwback to the PS2 era, with an interesting combat system and plenty of replay value, but also plenty of repetition and a dull UI.

PokΓ©mon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX makes the original games shine once again, the problem is that all of the games' faults are still here, namely its repetitiveness that can lead to boredom for those who are not familiar with the franchise or the genre.

Like Metro 2033 Redux, this is a must buy for anyone who loves FPS or stealth/action games, and this Switch version is probably the best of the bunch thanks to the hybrid nature of the console.

Hunt Showdown on PS4 manages to deliver an amazing tense atmosphere and it's fun to play, but the UI and some engine limitations make the experience a little bit more lackluster than it should be, for its price.

A marvel of a technical port, and probably the best way to experience Metro 2033: this is Metro 2033 Redux on Switch, and, even with long loading times, we cannot recommend it enough.

Rune Factory 4 takes a second chance with this Special edition, and while this is definitely the best version of the game, it's hard to recommend it to anyone who's already played the original.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV still carries the hard tradition of strategic games on console. The game gives a great deal both on personalization and historical context, and tries to recover a more traditional conception, giving a better result on commanding in a strategic gameplay with a gamepad, instead of a mouse. However, even if the satisfaction of conquering and well-administrating land it’s undeniable, this search for tradition pushes the game further towards only a specialized niche of public.

Overpass has something interesting ideas, but fails in its attempt to put them all together, with a flawed balance in the difficulty and not-so-believable physics. It's a shame, because the game has a lot of personality and modes – yet, it feels frustrating.
