The first Legend of Grimrock managed to pay homage to the forefathers of its genre, while being free of the shortcomings that often plague retro productions. Its successor, following the same footsteps has managed to expand this successful core towards new directions. It is bigger, technically superior and it offers deeper gameplay. Nevertheless, if you aren't familiar with grid based gameplay, try it out yourselves prior to purchasing it.- Ragequit.gr

Ruined King is an excellent western JRPG and is one of the most pleasant surprises of the year. Combining an extensive and interesting campaign, a well thought out battle system, lovely graphics, and impressive soundtrack, it will satisfy turn-based RPG's fans to the fullest. Highly recommended.- Ragequit.gr

Undoubtedly, AC: Odyssey as a game has quite a few issues: bad AI, the strangulation of the player with hundreds of missions and missed opportunities on the RPG level. But it does something also very important: it includes a huge and impressive world, capturing successfully the Ancient Greece aesthetic and it manages to be truly entertaining and unimaginably addictive.- Ragequit.gr

The new turn-based operations map approach that is introduced in CoH2AA increases the level of replay-ability. This combined with the tactical strategy elements that are sustained throughout the series make the game one of the best RTS experiences out there.- Ragequit.gr

System Shock of 2023 pulls no punches and remains every bit old-school as it was back in the day, albeit some quality of life improvements. With gameplay that has aged like fine wine and an imposing villain in the face of SHODAN, this iteration of System Shock is the optimal way to experience the father of immersive sims in the present day.- Ragequit.gr

Via this new expansion pack, Baldur's Gate awakens after many years in hibernation. Even though it will not prove so sensational in the current era of kickstarted RPGs, it still succeeds in finding its place among contemporary epics, such as Pillars of Eternity and Divinity: Original Sin. Siege of Dragonspear may be a bit late to the party and not flawless, nonetheless it's a faithful installment in the series.- Ragequit.gr

A sublime, wonderfully scary horror/stealth game with beautiful graphics and fun gameplay. The eponymous alien is a constant threat, forcing the player to stay on his toes and brave the shadows in order to survive his trek inside the Sevastopol space station. The game's only major misstep is that it slightly outstays its welcome as the campaign drags on longer than it should have. Other than that, Alien: Isolation is one of the best horror games of the last few years.- Ragequit.gr

This first chapter serves as a truly special start for an episodic adventure game. It has many positive aspects packed together -unique looks, lovable main characters, awesome voice overs, a price that makes it a must buy- and contains a respectful number of puzzles. If some of them were a bit more challenging, its length would easily be extended. In any case, it's an ideal and very promising debut.- Ragequit.gr

Hand of Fate 2 is a clearly superior version of the first game, including remarkable improvements in some aspects (roguelike elements, deck building) and small to some others (combat), but it's a totally well-made game that can keep you busy for hours.- Ragequit.gr

NieR: Automata is a top quality, intelligent and unique ARPG, that you may spend many exciting hours on it, even if some game design choices are obstacles from reaching a masterpiece status. If Square Enix finally decides to correct its hideous technical issues, then it is a must-buy.- Ragequit.gr

Distraint 2 is about breaking chains. The chains of pain, guilt, sorrow, trauma and the haunting past. Even though mechanically and aesthetically it closely follows the original, it manages the rarest of feats: it becomes a surprisingly lyrical narrative of perseverance and ultimately, redemption.- Ragequit.gr

Very strong writing, a terrific sense of small town supernatural mystery and believable characters make Life Is Strange a most compelling interactive movie. Echoes of Twin Peaks and Alan Wake resonate throughout and if you've ever been a freshman outsider at 18, you will find plenty of yourself in young Max Caulfield's journey to the unknown. Highly recommended.- Ragequit.gr

Even though the story seems to be completely on rails by this point, with player input influencing practically nothing, Telltale still manages to deliver cinema-quality storytelling and entertainment. If a third season of the Walking Dead is to be successful however, major changes have to be made to a formula, that after a triumphant run, begins to show signs of fatigue.- Ragequit.gr

Everything that was good in Conquistador is taken to its next level of evolution with the change from the Strategy/RPG formula into a more "traditional" RPG experience in Viking. Fans of Logic Artists' first game and of the RPG genre in general are sure to be delighted with this authentically Norse experience filled with intrigue, cultural conflict, exploration and conquest.- Ragequit.gr

With very dense storytelling and ambiguous ending, The Old City: Leviathan is a very intriguing, non-conventional (walking-simulator) title that will leave you wondering what you experienced during your play. Its philosophical inquiries will keep on nagging, pressing for one more playthrough in the hopes of getting a clearer meaning.- Ragequit.gr

A well-crafted and complete title, capable of offering exactly what one expects from a modern RTS. While it has some weak points, like simplifying some of the series' core micromanagement, in the end it offers a solid experience which should not go unnoticed by fans of the genre.- Ragequit.gr

An interesting XCOM spin-off with a few new ideas and great value for money. The writing and a few bugs let the game down a bit but as a whole it is a great appetizer for the eventual XCOM 3.- Ragequit.gr

The Division provides a solid experience, with its solid, yet not revolutionary, gameplay mechanics. What makes the game special is the depiction of a modern, post-apocalyptic New York, which provides a satisfactory exploration experience. Overall, a job well done by Ubi.- Ragequit.gr

Nioh 2 is more about refining its core gameplay than making radical changes. By adding extra layers of depth to its well-tempered mechanics, it offers a high-quality Action-RPG which retains its unique identity, despite some technical issues. Last but not least, it's a more inviting experience this time around, but as it happens with all Souls-like games, player's commitment is mandatory to progress.- Ragequit.gr

The puzzle design, dialogue, voice-overs, art direction and the way it completes the Blackwell storyline is absolutely sublime. One would be forced to nit pick to find downsides to this beautiful and emotional finale to Rosangela's story. A fairly short duration and the fact that one pretty much needs to be a fan of the series in order to get the full emotional impact of the events unfolding could be considered downsides.- Ragequit.gr

Yooka-Laylee encompasses some modern design sensibilities and lots of nostalgia vibes, reminiscent of carefree, bygone eras. Some drawbacks hold it back from being a classic, but nevertheless its rich content and high fun factor will ring true to fans of the genre.- Ragequit.gr
