Spooky Express is a very well-designed puzzler that's perfect for Halloween. It's got fun and challenging puzzles, great music, and even comic book elements to add a bit of story.

Pine Hearts has a good story, fun quests and lots of funny characters. It feels long and vast on mobile - creating something that's well worth sinking your time into.

I came into Blue Protocol: Star Resonance thinking I wouldn’t like it at all. I was expecting another bland gacha fest, but I was dead wrong. The combat is really fun, the characters are endearing, and I really enjoyed my time here. There are some things that could do with changing, in particular, the limited character slots and lack of class previews, but I genuinely can’t wait to be able to return when it officially releases.

In fellow bridge maker, Poly Bridge 3, you could view the winning constructions of players on its leaderboard, which was a nice twist, but even without that Bridge Constructor Studio is a polished puzzle game with near endless scope for tinkering, as you try and complete each challenge with fewer and cheaper materials.

Pokemon Friends feels like a really well-thought-out puzzle game, with a lot of fantastic features to it! I do wish the game had a way to do more puzzles without paying and that the yarn made more sense to me, but overall, I have enjoyed getting my adorable Pokemon plushies.

Wargroove 2: Pocket Edition is an enchanting strategy game with challenging turn-based combat, quirky characters, and three intertwining narratives.

Sunset Hills is a cosy point-and-click adventure game that has a lot of charm to it. I do wish that the game itself were a bit clearer, but overall, it's a good adventure!

Visually, Primrows is so much better to look at than a bunch of numbers on the grid. I do like the journal and the way that every single match can be turned into points in some way. It feels delightful, slow, and fun.

Crashlands 2 takes what the original Crashlands had and adds a few shiner layers to it with a new look, tweaked mechanics, and a harsh but exciting world that will take a lot of time to experience.

Gordian Quest is one that RPG & Roguelike fans will find incredibly hard to pull away from; however, slight UI concerns and deep gameplay will make this a hard one for many to get to grips with. Wonderfully complex, its biggest sin is doing too much at once.

If you're looking for something to sink hundreds of hours into, something with solid story and sublime strategy then you won't go wrong here. It's almost faultless, and might well lead us into an era of quality strategy RPGs on mobile.

Expelled! is a quirky whodunit-esque adventure where every choice you make will determine your fate. The repetitive loop might get tiring at some point, but thankfully, the story is still compelling enough to make you want to go through it over and over again. Or, at the very least, you can take pleasure in watching your enemies take the fall - literally and figuratively.

EvoCreo 2 is a delightful retro-inspired monster-catching RPG full of quirky quests, diverse locations to explore, and hundreds of adorable Creo to catch.

Lara Croft: Guardian of Light is a fast-paced adventure full of challenging puzzles and formidable foes.

Dark And Darker Mobile fixes a lot of the technical and running issues of its bigger counterpart, but still requires you to sit down and use your energy to enjoy dungeon crawling.

LOK Digital is simple looking, but there is a lot of charm and character in the game itself. The puzzles are fantastically made and feel very satisfying to complete.

Total War: Empire is one of the best strategy games I've ever played on mobile. It stays true to the franchise principles, it's historically accurate, but it has a lot of requirements in terms of hardware. If you can play it, you'll love it; if you can't play it, you'd better buy a new phone.

Miniatures is a fantastic game for those looking for something heartfelt and emotional. It's a short but bittersweet experience that will play on your mind for days to come.

I went into Wuthering Waves fully expecting to write it off, thinking it would be a pale imitation of the big one, but it just isn’t. It pains me to say, but it is better. Comparing it to another feels like an insult, Wuthering Waves is just really fun in and of itself. I will be playing more of this, and I wholeheartedly recommend everyone give it a spin. The gameplay is incredibly fun, it looks beautiful, and you don’t need to drop a penny to win. Also, you can pet and feed at least one cat. Probably should have led with that and saved myself the time.

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is another chapter in an already fantastic game, with some quality of life improvements, new characters, and some new features added along the way. If you are a fan of Animal Crossing style games, this is one for you.

Pineapple: A Bitter Sweet Revenge can be played in an evening, giving you a new take on a viral Reddit story, that comes with its own message. It's also fantastic in the level of polish, providing for a very fun game to play.

If you are someone who likes these challenging, grid-based puzzles and can see where to place the path, this is another quality one that you can start playing through! I do quite enjoy the bits of information about each element and how they are used in real life, adding learning to the puzzle game.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is a fantastical kingdom management sim in which you'll build your castle, send adventurers on quests, and make royal decisions that will affect your subject's loyalty and happiness.

Ouros has a brilliant combination of puzzles that will leave you... puzzled. With minimalistic aesthetics and a pleasant background sound, it makes for an enjoyable experience for people of all ages who want to test their logical thinking.

Coming in a polished package, with an excellent soundtrack and pleasing graphics, The Darkside Detective does the unthinkable and actually makes a point-and-click adventure game intuitive and doesn't have puzzles which overstay their welcome. The humour may not be what you're looking for in a retro throwback, but the design more than makes up for it.

Legend of the Skyfish continues the journey with better presentation, controls, and more to do as you continue to see and face familiar sights.

The stunning hand-animated scenes and evocative soundtrack complement the wordless storytelling beautifully, and if you can get past the rage-quit-inducing last chapters, a memorable ending awaits - and maybe even a lesson on persevering through adversity too.

Paper Trail is a very appealing, polished and genuinely challenging at-times game. With great accessibility options, although it has some hiccups, for the low-low price of free we highly recommend it.

Paper Trail is arguably one of the best representations of what makes Netflix Games a genuinely great service. Like the OG Netflix, before they began trying to squeeze money out of the reality TV crowd, it feels experimental and chock-full of games you won’t find promoted on other services.

The strategic depth and replayability factor alone make the premium price worth it - add to that the possibility of encountering a naked gnome and it might just be a no-brainer for you.

Astra: Knights of Veda is a thrilling idle action RPG in which you battle foes in side-scrolling levels as you seek the missing fragments of the goddess Veda.

Strange Horticulture is a very solid game for what it is. If you're interested in occult, folk-horror and mysteries you'll definitely be engaged. The unique gameplay will be familiar to players of point-and-click adventures and has some light puzzle elements. However, some issues from the translation to mobile do detract from the overall experience.

It is no secret that Hades is a fantastic game, people raved about it quite rightly, and it being on mobile is fantastic in theory. Of course, you will need a Netflix subscription, an iPhone, and ideally a controller to deal with the touchscreen issues I had. If you are in this minority of mobile consumers, then you will have a fantastic time, but it is hard to feel that Supergiant could have executed this port in a much more successful manner by including an Android version and spending a lot more time on the touchscreen implementation.

Ex Astris is a premium mobile RPG with a one-of-a-kind mix of real-time and turn-based combat. The lack of controller support can be a bummer, and the complicated combat mechanics take some getting used to. But if you're tired of your typical gacha game, this compelling single-player title can be a complete steal.

A relatively breezy puzzle experience, completely free. Fun and interesting, Please, Touch the Artwork 2 does lack a bit of depth that might help it function more as the educational tool it hopes to be.

I personally felt a bit disconnected from the characters because of some awkward story beats, but if you're not one to make a fuss out of narratives, this guilty-pleasure game is the perfect way to ramp up those warm and fuzzy feelings on a cold and rainy night.

The Longing is an idle-slash-point-and-click game that ideally takes 400 days in real time to finish. You can speed things up by triggering certain events in a little over a month, but the deliberately slow pace offers plenty of room for interesting discoveries about the meaning of life in a profound but unpretentious way. Play the game if you've got the time to spare, or if you simply need to be reminded of the lost art of patience in this fast-paced world we live in today.

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is an enticing action-packed game featuring fun fluid combat in which you'll summon heroes and battle demons.

Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is an endearing casual adventure title in which you must save Tamagotchi planet by spreading friendship and love.

Despite the game's relatively short playtime, there was an abundance of evidence to back up that yes, Little Nightmares is perfect on mobile. In fact, I would go as far as to say I can’t imagine it being better on consoles. The intimacy of the experience that mobile brings to Six’s monolithic struggles amplifies the experience, and if you were a fan the first time you played, or have any interest in experiencing this indie darling, you should definitely download this fantastic port.

The Among Us crew has crossed time and space to arrive in Vampire Survivors, bringing a whole new map, quirky characters, and a whole lot of amusing weapons to try out.

Slayaway Camp 2: Netflix and Chill is an enticing puzzle game with challenging levels and a cutesy horror aesthetic that will keep you coming back for more.

Hitman: Blood Money REPRISAL shows that old games can still come out of retirement onto a new platform while bringing with them all the things that made them great in the first place.

Par for the Dungeon is an incredibly fun time, and for the most part manages to find the right balance of challenge to frustration. There are a few levels that feel a little unfair about the exact angle you need to hit a wall, and the monetization is a bit iffy, but you can overlook that pretty easily when stacked against what a great time you will have. Besides, if you don’t, who will help Cal save Cerby?

Coromon is a worthy addition to the monster-catching genre, however, there is no getting away from the fact that TRAGsoft has dumbed down the standard gameplay a bit with its free-SP recovery and Potential system. You can ignore a lot of these, but some people will be turned off by this visage of ease. I loved these changes and found the game quite good fun with its delightfully retro design, and given that you can play up to the third town for free, what have you got to lose?

Dawncaster is a roguelike deck-builder that you can play offline with a convenient portrait mode orientation. The depth of strategy here is impressive, with plenty of replayability that makes it worth the premium price.

A fun and dynamic card battler set in the ever-unique universe of Warhammer 40,000. But Warpforge doesn't offer much that's new to bring in sceptical fans or CCG enthusiasts. Yet it has a solid base to build on in future.

Iris and the Giant is a unique roguelite card battler with engaging gameplay mechanics and an incredibly memorable story. There's a great deal of replayability here with its many, many collectibles, but at the end of the day, it's simply a heartfelt lesson on compassion - and heaven knows we need more of that in this world today.
