Down the Rabbit Hole is a very unique take on its Wonderland source material, literally sending players down a dark, diorama-filled rabbit hole. With fun puzzles and a breezy atmosphere, Down the Rabbit Hole is an amazing – if brief – good time. As much time as you have spent in Wonderland, I guarantee that you have never seen it like this.- PlayStation Universe

An intricate and entertaining amalgam of BioShock, comic book visuals and roguelike design with hefty dose of dark comedy to boot, Void Bastards is one of the most refreshing shooters to come along in a good long while.- PlayStation Universe

Awash in atmospheric dread, boasting enough jump scares to send your heart rate through the roof and encompassing sizable visual upgrades in addition to maintaining its often overlooked roguelike survival horror gameplay, The Persistence’s non-VR release proves that while it might not escape the black hole like gravity of its VR design bedrock, it’s still far more than just the sum of its superficial parts.- PlayStation Universe

A fun gameplay loop, nice exploration and roguelike elements are unfortunately ruined by poor performance. Atomicrops is too much of a slog to get through and the framerate issues mar what could be an enjoyable game. Where precision evading and dodging are required, so is a good, smooth framerate. This title is hard to play in its current state but if the promised performance boost comes to fruition, it may be worth a revisit in the future.- PlayStation Universe

Hotel R’n’R allows players to engage in an ultimate fantasy – being a rock star and smashing up a hotel room. With solid controls and a fun game loop, Hotel R’n’R will call players back again and again for one more round – even if the progression feels a bit slow. This is a solid game with a wicked sense of humor. If you suspect that you will like Hotel R’n’R even a little, I’m here to tell you that you will love it. Rock on.- PlayStation Universe

A roguelike that gives the player this much control over their character build is a rare thing. Rather than depending heavily on random drops and loot, Demon's Tier+ lets you spend your gold on what aspect you want to improve. It's a small change that makes a massive difference. Along with that, you have a well-designed game that runs really well, not too long, and has a really nice trophy list. What's not to love?- PlayStation Universe

Despite a hugely flawed single-player campaign and some control issues, Trailmakers succeeds commendably with the Lego-style vehicle building and online template sharing. Get stuck into the Rally mode and enjoy modding your vehicles to win races, then compete online in the sandbox modes and you'll have lots of fun.- PlayStation Universe

Remnant: From The Ashes' Swamps of Corsus DLC redesigns an area of the game to be the best-looking location in it. But, a lack of changes to outdoor environments on Corsus, bugs and issues that are still present ten months on, and a general feeling that there isn't much meat on Swamps of Corsus' bones left me underwhelmed with what is here. Fans looking for a more substantial offering should wait for the final DLC in August.- PlayStation Universe

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is an interesting take on survival-horror. You don't get to fight your way out of the situations you find yourself in. Instead, hiding is your best weapon. Devespresso Games have crafted a unique horror experience shrouded in Korean horror lore. It's just a shame their unique approach is hindered by some questionable QTE moments and item management.- PlayStation Universe

Banner of the Maid is a genre-defying tactical RPG that challenges players to discover the one way the game will allow them to win battles - and bitterly punishes those that attempt other strategies. With a strong focus on visual novel-style storytelling, the game creates a unique alternate universe version of the French Revolution as a setting for a detailed story with rich characters. Not entirely welcoming for newcomers, Banner of the Maid is an interesting alternative for genre fans.- PlayStation Universe

The Night is Darkest Before The Dawn. Through the Darkest of Times is an interesting strategy game that combines the storytelling of a visual novel with the tactics of a war table planner. The art style is striking in its simplicity and the music provides an immersive ambiance. The game’s focus on telling the story of the fight against the Nazis from the inside offers a compelling plot and plenty of character moments that draw you in.- PlayStation Universe

Gleamlight's art style is beautiful and immersive, but the combat here is slow and tedious. With no story to latch onto it all just feels shallow. Even though the game is extremely short, your time and money are better spent elsewhere on other games in this genre.- PlayStation Universe

OkunoKA Madness is a great platformer that is easy to recommend for those looking for a good challenge. It only loses points for some minor annoyances like cluttered levels, occasional difficulty spikes, and disappointing boss fights.- PlayStation Universe

A poor console port, a massively underwhelming remaster of a classic RTS game, and a game that really shows its age. Commandos 2 is a disappointment on multiple levels. What could have been a great opportunity to introduce modern audiences to a classic instead desecrates the memory of it.- PlayStation Universe

For the double pack - having two classic strategy games on console for the first time should be a cause for celebration. Unfortunately Praetorians and Commandos 2 have received incredibly lackluster remasters that only serve to highlight just how much both have aged. With this double pack, War is (Disappointing as all) Hell.- PlayStation Universe

Whilst the environments of Reisum and the bosses in the Subject 2923 DLC are some of the best in the game, the opening of the DLC and the overall package doesn't feel like a satisfying end to Remannt's story, making it a fine add-on for hardcore players, but not offering much reason for lapsed players to come back.- PlayStation Universe

Only being lacking in some technical adjustment and editing stops this title from being truly great. Nevertheless, Projection: First Light immerses you in a forgotten culture for a visual and narrative treat that will no doubt prove to be a memorable experience.- PlayStation Universe

A solid turn-based strategy wrapped up in a grimly intriguing slice of wartime history, WARSAW is quite capable of having its intended emotional impact land on target. The biggest roadblock that faces is in the balance between being a video game, and being a powerful bit of storytelling about a real-life tragedy.- PlayStation Universe

Armed with its easily accessible two-button setup, One Finger Death Punch 2 stands as a sterling example of how to make the most out of an extraordinarily streamlined concept. More than that though, it's simply a hugely enjoyable and stylish rhythm fighter that does a grand job of keeping players coming back for more.- PlayStation Universe

It is truly hard for me to find anything wrong with Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Although short, Legends offers a lot of replayability. Every second I spent in Ghost of Tsushima made me never want to leave and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends gives me reasons to return and stay. Playing with friends, grinding out gear, and levelling all of my Ghosts will keep me coming back for months to come. The additions to single-player, the ability to play all of Legends solo, and the fact that it's free makes the expansion unmissable.- PlayStation Universe

Raji: An Ancient Epic is an incredible experience delivered through a short and vibrant story. You can feel the passion and the talent from the developers come through in each moment of the game. Though it may not be as polished around the edges as I’d like, the issues do not outweigh the high points.- PlayStation Universe

Twenty seven months worth of patches, content updates and a next-generation coat of visual sheen is enough to allow Dead by Daylight to realize its ambition as one of the most enjoyably terrifying online multiplayer experiences out there. If you've been holding off and waiting for Dead by Daylight to 'get good' or 'get fixed', now is the time for you to finally jump in. You won't regret it.- PlayStation Universe

Attractive visuals and decent handling isn't enough to pull Red Wings: Aces of the Sky out of the doldrums of mediocrity, thanks in no small part to a distinct lack of variety in the mission objectives and uninspiring game design.- PlayStation Universe

Fortnite on PS5 is an improvement with a lovely 4K resolution and useful and accurate haptic feedback. Activity Cards help players get to the Battle Royale mode they want easily, jumping in quickly without wasting a moment. Adaptive Triggers disadvantage you in Battle Royale but are a nice addition in Save The World. Fortnite is still the same game, albeit with some nice quality of life changes on Sony's new console.- PlayStation Universe

While CSD3 retains the frenetic pace of its predecessor, there aren't enough new additions to make this an essential update. The huge library of recipes is mightily impressive and the presentation is as good as ever, so if you can handle the crushing difficulty, give your flabby fingers a work out in the back of this mobile food van.- PlayStation Universe

A sufficiently wacky and charismatic follow up experience to Enter The Gungeon and an enjoyable roguelite game. Regrettably, due to a number of flaws, it can't be appraised as the sequel fans would have hoped for. Exit The Gungeon probably won't win over any genre newcomers either. However, for existing fans longing for another crawl in the Gungeon, Exit The Gungeon just about does enough to be worth a look.- PlayStation Universe

Just Dance 2021 contains one of the best tracklists the franchise has ever had and makes meaningful improvements to the World Dance Floor and communicating players' performance to them while they dance. However, some childish maps and poor choreographies bring this tracklist down slightly. The core gameplay here is still good and I hope next year Ubisoft is able to fix some of the key issues this game clearly had being developed under COVID-19 restrictions.- PlayStation Universe

Lair Of The Clockwork God is an excellent game that will take you on a hilarious journey solving puzzles with Dan and Ben, even if the journey is shorter than I would like and the jokes don't really read to anyone who isn't quite steeped within games culture.- PlayStation Universe
