Swamps of Corsus is a good DLC for the price. The random nature of the base game means you might struggle to see all the content it offers but the Survival mode is an excellent addition.

Remnant: From The Ashes' Swamps of Corsus DLC redesigns an area of the game to be the best-looking location in it. But, a lack of changes to outdoor environments on Corsus, bugs and issues that are still present ten months on, and a general feeling that there isn't much meat on Swamps of Corsus' bones left me underwhelmed with what is here. Fans looking for a more substantial offering should wait for the final DLC in August.

The idea of how it's constructed reminds me of a crazed mixture of Diablo and Dark Souls with any sort of 3rd person shooter. It's interesting, especially the way of coop playing and the random generation of the worlds.

I enjoyed discovering HOW the game works from a technical point of view but wouldn't recommend it to any casual PS4-Player who'd like to have a fluent and sparkling game experience. Too bad, it's bulky, heavy, stubborn and most of my challenges resulted through horrible framerates and ignored inputs while battling the bosses. Loading times are extremely and be aware it will stutter many times when encountering new boss phases, areas or something alike.

The PS4 (Pro) just always feels way to small to make this bold engine work smooth and enjoyable. I felt pretty "relieved" when the credit rolled and even there are other game options to try out, like Survive- or Adventure-Mode, i'm somehow done with it, enough. The permanent changing framerate (mostly below 30 fps) gave me more then once headaches.

So, if you're interested in this game and you've got a good performing pc, use this as the platform and not the PS4. Can't imagine how it will run on a normal PS4, probably almost unplayable. By the way, all the screenshots you'll see at the PSN-Store are from the PC! It never ever looked like those pictures, probably 4K-Quality SuperHigh-Setting.
