Measured against the rest of EA's high quality pro sports line-up, NBA 09 looks and plays a distinctly amateur game of B-Ball. [Oct 2008, p.103]- Playstation Official Magazine UK

It’s fun in bursts of 20-30 minutes or so, but this is the sort of thing you play in between sessions of games you enjoy more. Worms deserves more love. [Issue#184, p.97]- Playstation Official Magazine UK

More problematic is that neither game feels as accomplished as the genre's best. SFIV is deeper and more technical, and there's more fun to be had in MVC3's frantic tag action. But there are worse ways to spend £25, even if the whole thing would actually be more valuable without the movie – the poisonous, horse-leg doner of the bunch.- Playstation Official Magazine UK
