Superhero Jesus meets the Ravagers of Earth Defense Force. In VR. Yeah, you're sold on it. Megaton Rainfall is fabulous.- PlayStation Country

Minit is a short game with a great hook. The sixty second lifespan mechanic is surprisingly fun to get to grips with and the game world oozes charm from the moment it begins. If you are looking for a new hidden gem, then this is the one.- PlayStation Country

Starfield is a great port of the previously Xbox and PC only spacefaring RPG from Bethesda. And it’s pretty damn solid. The sheer scope is staggering and us PS5 owners should be kept busy for a long time. Yes, there’s a few issues with bugs that persist from the original 2023 version, but we can only hope they’re resolved post-launch. Sidequest overload is probably more of an issue than being overencumbered if we’re honest. Still great, so get to it.- PlayStation Country

This reboot takes a classic shoot 'em up and reinvents it quite brilliantly. By upping the presentation to the max, it provides an exciting, modern version of the game without messing with the original's gameplay. For fans of the original, this is simply essential.- PlayStation Country

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a great example of how to do a remaster. A great graphical upgrade and addition of a new multiplayer mode make this a welcome, if unexpected addition to the realm of remasters. Rather this than another Crash Bandicoot anyway.- PlayStation Country

Instruments of Destruction is a decent indie stab at a spiritual Blast Corps sequel. It’s really quite good, though the Build and Destroy mode isn’t so great, though that’s more down to the UI. Time to get moving!- PlayStation Country

Playtonic Games attempt to catch a second flash of retro magic in a bottle with Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair. The 2.5D action may seem like a step back considering the origins of the Chamelon-Bat duo, but at the heart of the Impossible Lair is a distinct thread of innovation, a rare feat for the often-attempted platforming genre.- PlayStation Country

10Tons do it again with yet another fantastic twin-stick shooter. If blasting a huge horde of demons with more firepower than you've ever seen on screen before sounds like fun, well... that's because it is. Tesla Force is fun. Big, exciting, relentless fun. The shoot 'em up genre taken to the limits and we love it.- PlayStation Country

Star Renegades is a very tactical, turn based Rogue-lite that offers a decent challenge on Normal but with far more options beyond that. The runs themselves are very long for this type of game and the unlocks, beyond the characters, don't seem very exciting but if the combat flow intrigues you then you'll find plenty to enjoy.- PlayStation Country

Hidden Cats in Rio de Janeiro is another solid hidden cat game. In a similar vein to the Tokyo installment, this is good and offers a decent package for less than a coffee from Starbucks. Get searching and find all them felines.- PlayStation Country

A gory, glorious celebration of violence with more content than you'll find in any other fighting game. This is the complete package when it comes to Mortal Kombat 11 but, loading times aside, you'll be hard-pressed to see what this version has over its PS4 counterpart.- PlayStation Country

Neoverse is a very fun, deck building rogue-lite with a few interesting mechanics to differentiate it from the pack. It's a little more forgiving too, but with enough content to keep veterans busy between Slay the Spire runs.- PlayStation Country

New Super Lucky's Tale is a great 3D platformer suitable for both young and old alike. The plot is daft but you're here for the gameplay. Don't kid yourself otherwise. Collectibles are a mild chore sometimes, but not disastrously so.- PlayStation Country

From tense standoff gameplay to the 19th century Louisana meets survival horror PVE elements. Hunt Showdown is a tense, tactical multiplayer experience that circumvents the tired battle-royale genre by being something unique. Excellent sound design and atmospheric visuals round off the package, with only a few infrequent bugs that get in the way.- PlayStation Country

The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is a great side-scrolling brawler. Being an arcade style title it's quite short but the desire to hit the leaderboards with a 1 Credit Clear has kept me dipping back in every now and then.- PlayStation Country

An excellent distillation of the Lara Croft experience. With some charming puzzles and great use of the environment, this is a great puzzle game. Whilst the VITA version suffers with long losing times, this isn’t an issue on the PS4.- PlayStation Country

As a first time player, I happened to really enjoy Dear Esther’s bleak trek across a mysterious Hebridean island. The tale felt like a deeply personal one and, although the narrator’s wordiness can and will tend to grate, I can appreciate and engross myself in what the Chinese Room have provided. There are moments of genuine impact and it’s an experience very open to interpretation. Your interpretations will ultimately colour how you see this brief encounter.- PlayStation Country

Robobeat is a game packed with ideas. Aside from the rhythmic element, the sheer variety within combat makes for a thrilling experience. As a roguelite, it's short enough to forgive some of the randomness ruling out certain builds or simply leaving you in a place where playing perfectly is your only way forward. It's got a solid soundtrack with fluid presentation that can make the action slick.- PlayStation Country

I found Merek's Market to be a thoroughly enjoyable effort. The frantic daily grind never ceased to be fun as I anticipated and looked to make any gains whilst satisfying customers. There's always one more thing to do and it's presented with a cheeky British charm. Coordinating with friends leads to some more hi-jinks but solo players aren't left out with a lengthy campaign that does well to provide some variety.- PlayStation Country

Call of Duty: WWII trades on the familiar and, whilst its campaign suffers from some weak characters and a few safe bets, the multiplayer component remains compelling and rewarding. It's a throwback rather than a revolution but it's still fun. There's not a lot here that's new but you'll be occupied for another year, providing you haven't already tapped out.- PlayStation Country

While the remaster brings little new to the table other than a fresh coat of paint, cross play and remade cutscenes. Diablo II and its expansion feel as exciting, threatening and as ruthless as ever. The lions share of the quality-of-life improvements are found in the console version, with an excellent use of the controller, added hotkeys and general accessibility. Yet, the remaster does nothing to dumb down or meddle with the overall experience. Instead, for returning players, this is Diablo II as you remember it to be. For new players, while missing a lot of features that most ARPGS have today, there is a lot to love about this aging gem and it is still worth experiencing even decades later.- PlayStation Country

Crime Boss: Rockay City surprised us. As unheralded as it was, this is a great game that does stealth and action equally well. The setting, the missions and the vibe of it felt a bit like playing a really good Xbox 360 game. And that means something now that most games are open-world borefests.- PlayStation Country
