Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is easily the best Tony Hawk game to date. Everything from the varied career mode, new gameplay features and video editor come together in a great, cohesive package.

The insane amount of strength, skills and powers you get in the game is amazing and the game does a great job of making you feel like you’re really in control of a truly powerful being.

If you're a fan of the franchise, genre, or good games, you owe it to yourself to pick this game up.

On the Xbox, the game is a visual stunner. As impressed as I was by "True Crime"'s recreation of Los, Spider-Man 2 surpasses it because even though it is about half the size of the real New York City, everything is so distinct (the streets' repetitiveness plagued "True Crime") that I am grateful for that decision.

A strong candidate for the coveted Game of the Year award, Burnout 3: Takedown is one of the best arcade racing games to come out in years.

Sony Bend was able to bring Resistance to the PSP in a way that takes advantage of the system’s strengths and feels like it’s own game in the Resistance universe instead of a dumbed down version of the console versions.

Batman: Arkham Asylum would be a terrific third-person action game on its own thanks to the excellent combat engine and well-designed levels. But coupled with the Batman license the game becomes a must-play.

Incredibly fun. I finished the story mode and spent almost an hour continuing to explore the city.

The game is extensively authentic and requires a lot of thought to successfully complete it.

The scope and magnitude of Call of Duty and particularly this expansion are most important. Gray Matter Studios did upgrade the engine a bit as explosions and other particle effects (like smoke and dirt) are more vivid this time around.

An intense singleplayer experience. It has awesome visuals and sound, epic game play and great multiplayer.

While The Sims 2 is no longer a game about “nothing,” its “something” is deep enough, varied enough, interesting enough and most importantly fun enough to justify its purchase for just about everyone from soccer moms to first person shooter addicts.

The gameplay mechanics are refined to the point of perfection and the presentation is stellar.

The game’s aural presentation is equally splendid. The voice acting is amazing; it often times uses a fictional language that enhances the game’s dreamy atmosphere.

Even up against recent heavyweights like "Painkiller" and "Far Cry", Doom 3’s visuals are a notch above. Using pretty much every graphical technique available like normal mapping, self-shadowing, per-pixel lighting and others that my frail brain cannot understand, the Doom 3 engine is sight to behold.

The addition of the cops returns the series to its roots, while keeping the gameplay mechanics and large city of the Underground games will make it accessible to fans of those games.

An incredibly well-put together baseball game. Its presentation is top-notch, it includes a number of modes that you can spend countless hours playing, and the sense of control is unmatched.

Even though Nintendo didn’t hit 12/12 I’d say that four of the games (Swordplay, Archery, Table Tennis and Power Cruising) are amazing, must-play experiences, another four (Basketball, Canoeing, Air Sports and Wake Boarding) are fantastic, and the rest (excluding Cycling) are worth a few play throughs. The only negative aspect about the game is that unless you pick up Tiger Woods 2010 you’re looking at the $70 purchase to pick up Wii Sports Resort (which includes a Wii MotionPlus peripheral) and an additional WMP unit.

The Xbox version's online support is nearly flawless, but there is some occasional lag on the PlayStation 2 version.

The multiplayer matches are very frenzied. Add to this first-rate production values thanks to excellent visuals and a compelling soundtrack and you have a winner.

It has the solid gameplay you expect from the Tony Hawk franchise and adds some online multiplayer and fashionable visuals.

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam manages to breathe new life into the franchise by focusing on downhill skating while still incorporating many of the tricks and technical skills found in the previous games.

Although some of the novelty wore off since the first game, this is still a great music game and an even better multiplayer game.

Fight Night round 3 doesn’t radically change the series but the gameplay is so incredibly solid that the game is still heavily recommended.

It has made the game feel more responsive and added more immersion thanks to the fans’ animations and various chants.

Even if straight-on wrestling isn’t your thing, the fighting element in the game is involved enough to please fighting game fans. Of course, fans of the hip-hop genre will love the atmosphere in the game.
