You cannot find a better baseball game than MVP Baseball 2005. At $30, it’s an incredible steal for what could be the last licensed MVP game... It actually feels like you are playing the same baseball you play in the park or watch on TV, more than any game previous. The control, immersion and realism are unmatched.
-
It has been a joy to witness the progression of the MVP series. MVP 2005 addresses, corrects, and improves upon almost every issue fans had with the previous instalments.
-
Play MagazineTogether with a near flawless play-by-play announcer, excellent sound, music and solid online play, EA Sports has done it again with MVP. [Apr 2005, p.76]
-
The best-playing baseball game available this year, although its presentation is the weakest.
-
Game InformerThe new material that EA has implemented is minimal at best, and most of the additions don't generate a lot of excitement. With that said, this is still the best-playing baseball game on the market. [March 2005, p.118]
-
While MVP will likely fall short of fulfilling gamers wanting a true simulation, the game blends realism and arcade successfully, just as many other EA games have done in the past.
-
With 140 seasons the game has a lot of re-use potential.
