The game manages to take the best features of the series, shrink it into portable form, squeeze every ounce out of the PSP, and deliver a compelling experience.

The game’s audio is magnificent. The entire package is excellent and really brings the game’s presentation to first-class standards.

It manages to do the expected FPS stuff well while adding some new mechanics that spice things up. Good use of the Doom 3 engine makes the presentation superb, as well.

Overall, SingStar Vol. 2 is a tremendous improvement over its PS3 predecessors thanks to My SingStar Online and the SingStore.

Warhawk provides one of the most compelling online experiences on the PlayStation 3. The visceral, fast-paced and often chaotic action fits the game perfectly.

Skate’s intuitive control scheme won’t be for everyone but those that give it a shot will experience some of the most fulfilling gaming moments of any sports game.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a superb action game especially for fans of the character. This is the Wolverine game that fans have been waiting for. It’s not incredibly varied and a lesser game would have suffered because of this but Wolverine is just incredibly fun.

The production values are amazing with top-notch graphics and sound found nearly everywhere. Though the game runs a little short – we played a little over six hours – you’ll have a blast every step of the way.

A great game of golf with enough depth to please simulation fans while making things accessible to newcomers to the series. The game’s Game Face II feature is quite fun and will take up a few hours of players’ time on its own.

PGA Tour 06 addresses the main gripe with the previous portable entry, adds a number of new courses, and includes some of the recent changes found in the console version of the game.

With great game play, and a awesome soundtrack Ballers is sure to keep you occupied for a long while.

The excellent presentation and remarkable gameplay make this one of the best experiences on the PS2.

The worst thing that can be said about Killzone: Liberation is that we want more of it. We would have liked a longer single-player experience and we would have liked online multiplayer, but the gameplay in the game is so well done that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you let that stop you from getting the game. Action games do not get much better on the PSP.

Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is one of the most action-packed games of the year. If you’re looking for the next great team-based shooter, you can consider your search officially over. In a year with plenty of promising shooters, QUAKE Wars has cemented itself as a must-have.

Need for Speed: Shift is a compelling racing game that does an admirable job of balancing its simulation side with its arcade side. The combination of fun events, varied tracks and a solid racing engine make quite a convincing package.

The PSP version of the game very accurately keeps up with the console versions of the game. While some sacrifices were made to make the game work on PSP, overall the developers did an admirable job.

NBA Live 08 doesn’t add a whole lot of new modes, but the stronger gameplay goes a long way. The improved, more realistic gameplay, coupled with the excellent presentation package make NBA Live 08 a must-have for basketball game fans.

While the audiovisual presentation is amazing – and to be honest probably worth the price of admission – the actual gameplay can get a little stale after long gameplay sessions.

A great basketball game with excellent gameplay, and the addition of the all-star weekend is a nice treat.

Definitely recommended if you haven’t picked up a console version. You aren’t losing anything in the game, but you’re able to play it in the bus.

Condemned: Criminal Origins succeeds in making an atmospheric, vicious game with an emphasis on hand-to-hand combat and scarce gunplay. The gameplay is great, though we would have liked some more variety.

Too many returning (though greatly enhanced) elements from last year’s version, combined with some ill-advised new additions (anything involving the obnoxious Tony Bruno!), conspire to bring Madden 2005 down a notch from the all-around perfection of the previous season.

The game's visuals are good, but like always, never quite reach great status.

Star Fox Command has great controls and introduces a strategic layer that's fairly interesting. However, the random feel of the story battles and the frantic multiplayer mode don't make the most of this game's solid foundation, which might cause nostalgic fans to long for the series' good old days.

Many of the new features are well-received and while the others will take some getting used to, this is undoubtedly a move forward for the franchise.
