A dramatic improvement over its predecessor, although the gameplay is more repetitive than we would like to see.

Conflict: Denied Ops isn’t going to set the world on fire. The game isn’t worthwhile by yourself (mostly because the little friendly AI issues add up and the enemy AI’s annoyance factor is multiplied when you’re dealing with it alone), but if you’re going to play it with a friend, it provides a guilty pleasure.

The load times, too, are annoying. If you can live with this, though, there is a lot of fun to be had.

Reservoir Dogs is a decent action game although fans of the movie will probably be disappointed that it is merely average.

Spider-Man 3 on PS2 is essentially the Wii version without the motion-sensitive control system. The end result is a game that pales in comparison to and would not be a suitable replacement for the next-generation versions.

The three main characters are very detailed and authentic to their film counterparts. Wolverine is bigger than the others; Ice Man retains that young look, while Nightcrawler looks as weird as usual. The animation is solid, as well.

Is Soldier of Fortune: Payback a bad game? No, not really. It's a rather enjoyable (if simple) and good looking shooter. It's just that there have been so many amazing playing and looking games in the past few months, that Payback can't compare in comparison.

A much better game than the console version, partly because the GBA is friendlier to side-scrollers. The game doesn’t push for any new boundaries but thankfully, it is solid throughout.

The game’s ridiculously repetitive and uninspired gameplay, combined with production values that would make nearly any gamer cry don’t form a winning combination.

Ninja Reflex is definitely worth playing but unless you’re planning on making extensive use of the game’s multiplayer mode, there isn’t enough content here to warrant the $40 price tag.

Perfect for a seven year old girl. My little cousin was all over it. I think she convinced another of my aunts to purchase a copy of the game for her daughter so they can exchange secrets and so forth. As a game, All Grown Up: Express Yourself is mediocre, however.

A barely-average game. The karaoke aspect isn't bad until you realize you can trick the system very easily. Nonetheless, the excellent track list helps propel the game a bit to fans of the music.

Succeeds at pleasing its intended audience (the older teenage male, which I very happily fall in). As a trivia game, the questions are varied enough to keep things interesting and the breast parade never feels pushed or clearly added for marketing reasons.

Overall, Monsters vs. Aliens is a solid videogame adaptation from the movie. Compared to the console versions, the Nintendo DS version is a bit more monotonous since most of the levels are sidescrolling levels of some variety. There are certainly better sidescrollers on the DS, but young gamers who are fans of the movie will enjoy pitting their monsters against aliens in this uncomplicated game.

Hot Wheels: Beat That! would have made a solid gift for a 6-8 year old kid looking for a new racing game if the game was valued-priced. At full retail price, though, it’s near impossible to recommend the game for purchase. It’s not that anything is inherently broken but it is incredibly uninspired.

The combat is somewhat fun but unbalanced, there are problems in the presentation, and the game like this would have benefited from being less linear. However, fans of The Sopranos will probably enjoy the story which really does play out like an episode of the television show.
