Overall, with Call of Duty: World at War, Treyarch successfully did two things: they made World War II shooters relevant again and brilliantly followed up one of the best games of this generation. On the Wii, they also successfully modified a very technically demanding engine to less powerful hardware.

Hitman: Blood Money doesn’t radically change the Hitman formula but it does provide enough wrinkles and nuances to keep the solid gameplay fresh. It’s quite satisfying to orchestrate a giant surprise to fall on an unsuspecting target.

The voice acting sounds good, and is made better because the dialogue is well written. The background music is solid and fits the game well.

A superior golfing system and good presentation, largely because of the detailed create-a-player tool make Tiger Woords PGA Tour 06 an easy recommendation.

Very little was lost in the transition to the Xbox 360, which is an encouraging sign for future RTS games on consoles.

Condemned: Criminal Origins succeeds in making an atmospheric, vicious game with an emphasis on hand-to-hand combat and scarce gunplay. The gameplay is great, though we would have liked some more variety.

The presentation is stellar, the focus on gameplay is appreciated, and the new gameplay features like the “nail the trick” mode make this easily the best Tony Hawk game to date.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is undoubtedly the best golf game on the market right now. If you picked up last year's version, however, the refinements-unless you're a diehard Tiger fan-may not be enough to warrant the purchase.

What makes Painkiller different from other similar games are the awesome visuals. The architecture is particularly great.

Most people will not be able to get past the visuals let alone the game’s insane amount of depth. Those who give it a try will find an enjoyable experience, though.

Tweaks the Grand Theft Auto formula just enough to make it somewhat fresh. There is definitely room for improvement as the game doesn’t include boats or motorcycles for instance but Saints Row is a must have.

While the game isn’t quite as novel considering that this technically the third game in the series, it’s still one of the best puzzle games available.

Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis shows that there is room for focused, small games that do one thing very well. The game is very exciting and will soon have you at the edge of your chair. The game is definitely recommended even if you only have a small interest in it.

EA Canada has made the gameplay tighter and more intuitive, improved the graphics significantly, and got together a killer soundtrack.

Fireteam Bravo showed that the PSP was able of delivering a full-fledged online experience. Fireteam Bravo 2 doesn’t have the same novelty but it does deliver a really strong multiplayer component and a great singleplayer game.

Even though Nintendo didn’t hit 12/12 I’d say that four of the games (Swordplay, Archery, Table Tennis and Power Cruising) are amazing, must-play experiences, another four (Basketball, Canoeing, Air Sports and Wake Boarding) are fantastic, and the rest (excluding Cycling) are worth a few play throughs. The only negative aspect about the game is that unless you pick up Tiger Woods 2010 you’re looking at the $70 purchase to pick up Wii Sports Resort (which includes a Wii MotionPlus peripheral) and an additional WMP unit.

The soundtrack of Crystal Chronicles matches the game’s unique artwork and visuals very well, making it seem even more, um, “magical.” The sound effects are decent, but are definitely overshadowed by the soundtrack.

Overall, Buzz! Quiz TV is a terrific PlayStation 3 debut for the franchise. The downloadable question packs (both paid and community-made), wireless buzzers and online multiplayer, as well as the improved presentation make the game one of the PS3’s best multiplayer offerings.

The presentation is excellent, as is expected from Gran Turismo’s debut on the PS3. The game certainly fills a void in the PS3’s library but the relative lack of content (only 70 cars and 6 tracks), means that only the Gran Turismo diehard should pick up Prologue.

Cloning Clyde packs about eight or nine hours of gameplay, which is quite a steal since the game only costs the equivalent of $10. It’s lighthearted and quite easy to pick up, making it perfect if you’re looking to fit 30 minutes of a game or a few hours.
