In Age of Empires Online you manage your very own online kingdom, fight other players and solve quests that require you to complete different objectives such as building temples or destroying enemy towns. At its core, the game plays like a typical real-time strategy game but it doesn't feel too traditional thanks to the various MMORPG features such as skill trees, crafting and equipable items. The game's biggest shortcomings are the lack of skirmish maps and the small player limit in battles. It could also use some more playable civilizations. [Sept 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

One of the best iOS games, highly (re)playable and appealingly roguelike. [Sept 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Radiant Historia's take on time traveling is a bit of a letdown, but it's nevertheless a strong and addicting JRPG. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

A really intriguing mixture of genres. There's a sandbox world to explore, lot's of first-person shooting and some role-playing, with space flight and combat thrown in to tie it all together. It's unfinished, badly written and at times not very fun, but there's nothing out there like it. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

While not as good as the original classic, Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals does a good job retelling Maxim's adventure. Now can we please have an actual sequel? [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Good action platformer with a gravity manipulator (aka G-lifter) and a real like physics to play with. The puzzles are clever and the difficulty curve is near perfect. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

The cuddly kiddy version of Star Wars is still sympathetic, but what already felt dated length and complexity-wise in 1997 requires real retro love in 2011. The remastering is top notch, however. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

An "adventure pack" similar to the legion of previous Sims expansions published over the years. The new quests are good enough and there's a decent bunch of other stuff to make it worth your while (and money) -- if you're into the sort of gameplay that The Sims Medieval offers. After a few hours of adjustment, blam! I suddenly fell in love with RO2, regardless of the bugs and other issues. Its unique, realistic, ruthless portrayal of war is a refreshing antithesis for crowdpleasers like Call of Duty and Battlefield. RO2 will be a long lasting cult game, and personally I can't wait the game is fixed so I can get back to the ruins of Stalingrad! [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Rage is quite possibly the best looking first person shooter to date. Excellent graphics and top-notch action aside, Rage feels nothing like id Software titles of the past. One could argue that it's their first truly new title since Doom. While Rage has many endearing qualities, the side quests are a major let down. Playing same levels backwards with "new" enemies is just stupid. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Thumbs up for Pirates of Black Cove being a pirate themed strategy game, thumbs down for oversimplified gameplay, boring missions and way too slow tempo. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Like the United States Army, I came back from the jungles of Vietnam with a bloody nose. Cleraly Vietnam is for those Men at War pros who look for challenge. That's fine by me, but I did not like stealth missions which the engine does not handle so well. Also vegetation hides units, enemy and own, irritatingly well. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

This year's update focuses mainly on the single-player experience and the franchise mode. Additions like player roles and cut days are good, but the lack of a co-op online franchise is still disappointing. Otherwise, it's a solid if slightly unexciting offering. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

King of Dragon Pass must be the best story driven roleplaying game ever made. Actually this is the only roleplaying game, because all the others are just hack and slashes with stats. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Hard Reset is an old-school shooter that really takes its name seriously: you should be prepared to die a lot. High difficulty level keeps things interesting even though the overtly cartoonish robot enemies don't really fit the overall gritty art style. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Marcus Fenix shifts to third Gear, but the game stays the same. Graphics are stunning, but the desperate last fight of humanity is still far from dynamic and the paper thin plot fails to meet its premise. The ten hour trip to Sera is spent almost entirely in trenches, once again. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

FIFA 12 is one of those few versions that can be considered as a milestone in the FIFA series. Tactical defending revolutionizes defending routines while improved AI can actually pass the ball. Player impact engine is also pretty impressive. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

If you're bored of all those standard issue FPS games, E.Y.E. is definitely worth trying. Don't mistake this indie cyberpunk FPS for Deus Ex imitation, for it surely isn't. It has fresh ideas, vast well-designed levels, wide array of nice weapons, cybernetic skills and PSI powers and an interesting plot. The game is almost too ambitious for its own good, which makes it cumbersome at times and hard to approach. It has also some minor bugs yet to be squashed. But even with its flaws E.Y.E. is something very unique. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

A worthy successor to one of the greatest games ever. It offers a lot of choice on many levels and feels like an RPG from years past - in a very good way. One of the best, if not the best game of 2011. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Deathspank's third adventure is full of crazy comedy, wicked dialog and witty locations. Despite the obvious design flaws, this game is really refresing experience, when compared to other representatives of the action RPG genre. The catch of this game is the script. The somewhat outdated game mechanics are there just to back it up. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

A flight-sim for the rest-of-us. It's silly, it's fun and it looks absolutely stunning. The new helicopter missions prove to be an excellent addition to the Ace Combat fare. On the negative side this game is way too fond of setting mission critical time limits for the player. [Oct 2011]- Pelit (Finland)

Indiana Jones is one of the greatest adventure game heroes of all time. It's a shame, that the official games have degenerated in to platformes. This adventure is so close to the Indy's heritage, that you can almost taste it.- Pelit (Finland)
