This year's F1 game delivers something for everyone. The feel for the driving is as deep as you want it to be. [Oct 2012]

Hearthfire is a cosmetic add-on that enables you to build three houses and adopt children. Although relatively cheap (400 MSP), there is no story to speak of and the house building options are very limited. [Oct 2012]

This game delivers as much bangs for buck as you want. The in-game purchasing system is designed very nicely, if you want to continue playing with fast pace, the only way to do this is to use real money. Although the game mechanics are quite simplistic, Clash of Clans gets you on the hook. If Farmville is your weapon of choice, you can't go wrong with this one. [Oct 2012] (

Borderlands 2 is a marvelous sequel. Its unique style, vast world and funny characters draw you in, its hectic combat and endless supply of loot cause addiction. Superb audio-visual quality and smooth co-op are only the topping on the cake. Borderlands is one of the best games of 2012. [Oct 2012]

A faithful and extremely professional remake of one of the great classics of the FPS genre. Despite slight niggles, like the marines' aimbot-like behavior, it actually manages to achieve the impossible: Black Mesa is Half-Life, only better. [Oct 2012]

While the teleporting seems like a cheap alternative to a proper climbing mechanism, Dishonored is still a first class sneak'em up. It manages to find a perfect balance between linear storytelling and free-form gameplay. The unique visual stylings make the game all the more enjoyable. [Oct 2012, p.17]

Mists of Pandaria harkens back to the good old days of WoW, sometimes even a bit too much. The leveling up experience is great and Pandaria as an area looks fantastic. New little things like pet battles and handling your own farm are surprisingly good fun. The real problems lie at the end of the game where everybody is forced into grinding daily quests day after day since there are no other ways of getting reputation anymore. The new talent and glyph system is also very bland. Thankfully the new instances are as fun as always, even if they do not help at the reputation grinds anymore. [Sept 2012]

You have to admire Pendulo Studios for surviving 18 years by making adventure gamers, but Yesterday is a truly lackluster example of the genre. The writing is consistently awful and the puzzles are annoying and illogical. [June 2012]

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier looks amazingly bad at times, but the new tactical approach to combat is fun. Some timed events can get really annoying and the rail shooter sequences don't work that well. Co-op campaign is a good addition, even though the lack of matchmaking is a downer. [June 2012]

Legendary Cannon Fodder get's an offspring, but when kids go marching in to the Desert Storm, something doesn't add up. This cute and cuddly iRTS would have worked so much better in turns. Now the controversial graphic design that mixes up real life war with cartoons is coupled with real-time action and the set fails to meet its whole potential. [June 2012]

Even though there are a few downsides, such as the repetitive dungeon design, Tales of Graces f managed to cheer me up and keep me entertained for the duration of its lengthy quest. A perfect game for the summer. [June 2012]

Starhawk is an ambitious cross-breed of shooter and RTS. When this concept is coupled with 32 player network game and large, open battlefields, Starhawk sure is quite unique. [June 2012]

Max Payne 3 is a great action-movie experience with life-like characters that Rockstar is famous for. It does fall a bit flat on the actual action part, however. The controls on consoles are confusing and hard to get used to. Still very much worth a play-thru. It's also one of the best looking console games in the current generation. [June 2012]

Lionhead's attempt to make the Fable franchise accessible to younger generations doesn't hit the goal spot on. Clunky controls, boring combat and a character system that solely relies on luck aren't the best building blocks for a game for kids. If a parent take's part as an wingman, Fable Heroes offers relatively good fun for couple of hours. [June 2012]

Well, you certainly didn't see this one coming. Zombie invasion in Yakuza controlled Kamurocho is certainly something you don't see every day. The game isn't an Asian version of the Left 4 Dead, thanks to the sloppy controls. [May 2012]

Fixes some of the first Risen game's issues, the graphics look great and the pirate theme is refreshing, but combat is still pretty awkward and the quests include a lot of running back and forth. Still, it's not a bad game by any measure and for fans of Gothic and Risen it's a treat. [May 2012]
