SimCity is basically a good game, although it's crippled by poor technical choices and the DRM that requires an internet connection for single player game is obviously the worst thing since the plague. It's very fun to play, but after a brief building stage all there is left to do is to optimize, optimize and optimize. There's a load of patching to do. [Apr 2013]

Sometimes great, sometimes infuriating (on PC, Chris's run from Haos is a game killer) but always entertaining and dare I say challenging (at least compared to Call of Duty, Gears of Wars and other casual handhelders).

Persona 4 Golden manages to make a classic JRPG even better. A definite buy for any Vita owners, and actually a good enough reason to justify the purchase of Sony's struggling handheld. [Apr 2013]

The ultimate Monster Hunter is really what Wii U needed right now. It may not be the prettiest game on the block, but damn if it isn't the most addictive. When the clock is 3 am, and you're wondering whether you should do another hour long hunt, you know you're hooked. [Apr 2013]

A strange mix of a decent side quest and a Mass Effect sketch comedy show. It's nice having the whole crew together for the last time, but the jokes are really not that funny or entertaining. Fan service meets fan fiction meets cheesy writing. [Apr 2013]

Impire would be below average strategy game in the spirit on Dungeon Keeper, but thanks to really awful, long-winded and unfunny attempts of humour, it becomes something much, much worse. [Apr 2013]

Entertaining but also unexciting after the breathtaking God of War III. The multiplayer mode feels fresh though. [Apr 2013]

The newest addition to the Gears of War franchise is for the first time a true evolutionary step for the game series. There's finally some dynamic to the warfare and although the story is the same kill-em-all-macho-badass thrillride, it's certainly an improvement to the weeping Marcus Fenix we saw in the third Gears of War.

A prime example of a product that's been designed for the old-timers that have grown up playing adventure games from LucasArts and Sierra. It's an excellent tribute to the former giants of the adventure game industry. [Apr 2013]

It's same old, same old. There's nothing truly special about the new Revolution maps, but nothing truly wrong with them either. Having never really enjoyed Call of Duty Zombies, the new zombies content leaves me cold. By pitting three zombies against a single survivor, the new Turned mode makes a complete mockery of a true zombie apocalypse. [Apr 2013]

If only the developers had had the strength to break free from their original vision and concentrate on what's really good in BrĂ¼tal Legend. A lot fewer stage battles and a lot more reckless driving and action-packed smashing of heads. With a kickass soundtrack. That's what this game should have been about. Unfortunately it's not. I wish it was, though. [Apr 2013]

Bioshock Infinite is in many ways far superior to the original Bioshock. Still, it shares many of its predecessors weaknesses. The gunplay feels so-so and the different role-playing game ideas are only toyed with, and not fully committed to. The storyline, the environments and the interaction between Booker and Elizabeth more than make up for it, though. [Apr 2013]

Battlefield 3 has had a great run of DLC, but sadly End Game is by far the worst of the lot. The new game mode (Capture the Flag) is prone to players behaving badly and the new maps don't feel all that special. [Apr 2013]

Tomb Raider is a solid action adventure that offers a thrilling ride, but adds very little new to the genre and sadly falls short of the idea of open-ended survival adventure it was first marketed as. [March 2013]

Strategic part is about as exiting as Excel, but that's what you get when you have no enemies and no fear of losing. The idea on turn-based combat is to create a system of many variables, not a turn based version of simplistic real time battle. The new XCOM got it wrong, too, so please copy the old masters, don't please the simpletons. [March 2013]

One could think, that Noble Nutlings is the next Rovio trademark. It has physics engine, colorful characters and it's very easy to learn. The game is fun to play, but it doesn't triumph with original ideas. [March 2013]

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance suffers a lot from its bad camera, but it is nevertheless a very enjoyable game. Blade Mode works well and the action is appropriately over the top. The adventure is short, but luckily it has replay value to spare.

As far as the graphics go, Crysis 3 really squeezes everything out of Xbox 360. As a finale for a trilogy, the game could've really used a much more engaging story. The stealth gameplay is also not as good as it could be, the A.I. is simply too dumb for its own good. [March 2013]

Chaos on Deponia delivers some laughs, but on the downside the puzzles are illogical and the main character is a total jerk. With better story and some added logic, this extremely beautiful point'n'clicker would've been so much better. If you want challenge, this is your game. For those of who appreciate solid story-telling, you better keep looking. [March 2013]

Simple and easy going strategy game has a good board game feeling: easy to learn, harder to master. Battle of Bulge works well on a touch screen too, thanks to excellent user interface. The main flaw is that it is quite expensive and has only one map to play with. [March 2013]

Anarchy Reigns is an over-the-top beat 'em up adventure with a half-baked single player mode. The multiplayer makes up for it, though. That is, when there are enough players. Anarchy Reigns desperately needs automatic playlists. [March 2013]
