Looks beautiful, but is otherwise a by-the-numbers building game. Fun, but provides no almost no challenge at all. [Aug 2006, p.42]

The second season of Kinect Sports doesn't really offer anything original or inspired, it's just a collection of sports mini-games. Some of them are mildly entertaining (Golf), while others are over-simplified and boring (Tennis). All in all, Season Two is an extremely casual gaming experience that offers neither fresh ideas nor precise motion control. [Dec 2011]

A straight forward GTA clone with few new tricks. Biggest innovation is the fact, that you can blow up almost anything, anywhere, anytime. Explosions, you got to just love them.

A flawed, but hugely intriguing experiment in interactive storytelling. Despite the somewhat clunky writing and binary choices, what Sunset does in terms of atmosphere, world-building and theming is very much worth exploring. [Sept 2015]

WRC 6 has taken a nice step up compared to last year's version, especially in the graphics department, but still lacks the fine polishing. Also, a more engaging career mode, a couple of classic cars and a proper wheel force feedback would be a huge plus. [Nov 2016]

A quite good action adventure in a pretty Final Fantasy -world. The telekinesis powers are fun. Don't expect any RPG stuff, though. [Mar 2010]

You never know what to expect from Bioware when they create a new DLC. Sometimes they are decent, more often not. Legacy and Mark of the Assassin are pleasant surprises in the continuum. The adventures are well written, Tallis is a compelling new character and the combat is challenging enough. The add-ons are solid work, but not extraordinary by any means. [Nov 2011]

One of the best light gun games ever made. High-intensity zombie blasting is still decent fun and the cheesy dialogue is better than ever. Still, for two very short retro games, one must have the genre close at heart to make the asking price worth it. Also, the first HOTD should have been included no matter how dated it might look. A disappointing console cenversion for a fairly entertaining real-time strategy. The otherwise decent multiplatformer is gimped by massive framerate issues and technical problems. [May 2008]

Fun to play and easy to look at, but the gameplay is ultimately a bit too straightforward and shallow. It is borderline outrageous that the single-player campaign lasts only for 5 hours. [Apr 2006]

Lightning Returns shows us a flashy new wardrobe but looks still rule over personality. Sadly Lightnings chance of clothes does nothing for the lack of her personality. Overall it is enjoyable, but messy story and flimsy characters don't do it any favours. [March 2014]

King Arthur makes a worthwhile comeback. Real-time strategy at heart, Arthur crosses genre lines effortlessly. Be it role-playing elements, text-based adventure or Total-War-esque battles, King Arthur delivers on all fronts. The end result is an addictive and surprisingly well-balanced hybrid. [March 2012]

Memento Mori is a heavily story-driven point'n click game with beautiful graphics and great musical score. The plot twists and turns nicely during the game. Unfortunately the puzzle design isn't very original and most of the puzzles aren't very challenging, although moving the puzzle solving to 3D does make some of the problems seem new and refreshing. The voice acting is occasionally very annoying but you get used to it. Overall Memento Mori is a good purchase for an adventure gamer Both its story and the shocking finale linger on the edge of thoughts for a long time after playing through the game. This is the way to end a game. [Jan 2010]

Beneath the Ashes is short, but well paced mini-larathon which offers nothing really new. Lara’s Shadow is a little bit interesting case, but messing with deadly blue liquid is really frustrating. There are also annoying level re-runs, but generally both adventures offers sturdy but brief Tomb Raider experience. [May 2009]

Finally, some hexagons! As much as I would like to play turn-based strategy on the Xbox, especially on maps as pretty as these, the poor campaign, simplified tactical combat and magical power-ups are a big let-down. [Jan 2006]

Point'n click adventure that relies heavily on its intriguing storyline, likable main characters and nice puzzle design. Unfortunately it has a big shortcoming. The seemingly never-ending dialogue turns the player into a reader. In other words the game is unbalanced: one spends more time watching than actually playing. It’s a pity, really. [Aug 2009]

Takes a perfectly good game and spoils it with bad wiimote controls. The game is simply too fast for complicated wiimote-antics. Buy the GameCube-version, it's way better and works just fine on Wii. [Apr 2009]

An interesting combination of ancient mythology and modern scifi-stories, but ultimately it's chunky and tedious gameplay prevents it from becoming a significant represententative of the scifi-action-rpg-subgenre already dominated by Mass Effect. Which is a pity, for there was massive potential here. [Sept 2008]
