The Old Blood feels like two Wolfenstein games mushed together. The first half of the game is really good, but the enjoyment is truly lacking during the second half, when you’re fighting against bullet-sponge-y enemies and endlessly spawning zombies. [June 2015]

A good start, but Black Hole has forgotten to make the final adjustments. Tactical fighting needs more variables, sieges suck, friendly fire should be at least an option and overall the single player mode should be more challenging. [Jan 2007]

Proves to be pretty ordinary but working RTS. Minor stupidities of AI, a bit stiff controls and lack of new bonus content are the wost flaws of game's Playstation 3 port. [May 2009]

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol has a good air combat setup, gameplay is simple but fun. Feels a lot of like boardgame Wings of Glory. There is no point of buying other nations, though. Only thing changes is the paint on your planes. [June 2013]

Insanely stylish and full of intriguing gameplay ideas. Shame there's really no levels that would bring all of these ideas together! Still worth picking up, but could've been more. [Oct 2016]

A very ambitious mix of hacking, adventuring and an open world sandbox. The game feels somewhat clumsy to play and the objectives can get needlessly obscure, but there's nothing quite like it. [Oct 2016]

Although Lego The Hobbit is a fairly good game, it's yet again another clone of the Traveller's Tales' Lego franchise. The game mechanics haven't changed and especially monotonous combat system really gets to my nerves. The journey was also unexpected, as the game covers only the two first movies and the third installation of the series is coming later on as an DLC package. [May 2014]

At times, the slow-paced item-hunting can get boring, but the colourful graphics, good charactes and fast-paced battles more than make up for it. [Oct 2006]

A decent football game with a lot of teams and up-to-date lineups. The Treble feels more like a soap opera than football with simulated games and weird accidents. On the pitch UCL 06–07 has its moments, but does not really shine. The new gameplay based on collectable cards in the Xbox 360 version works great and is tons of fun, and the game looks and sounds very nice. [Apr 2007]

Sackboy's shrinked adventure suffers from sloppy controls and unbalanced level design. The cool level editor is also included, so after the disappointing solo content, you can entertain yourself with downloadable levels almost indefinitely. With proper finishing and some reasoning to the control methods, the game would definitely fight it's way to the platformer elite. Now the result is somewhat medium. [Dec 2009]

A good skateboarding game, but cannot live up to the high expectations. The gameplay is still outstanding, but the game suffers from a lack of fresh ideas and a way-too-short story mode. [Dec 2005]

There are some good innovations in PES 2010 like new tactical options. Revamped Master League is also a welcomed addition and finally PES looks good. The main problem is that on the pitch PES 2010 feels all too familiar. Next year we should see a whole new passing system and more convincing duels. [Nov 2010]

In Age of Empires Online you manage your very own online kingdom, fight other players and solve quests that require you to complete different objectives such as building temples or destroying enemy towns. At its core, the game plays like a typical real-time strategy game but it doesn't feel too traditional thanks to the various MMORPG features such as skill trees, crafting and equipable items. The game's biggest shortcomings are the lack of skirmish maps and the small player limit in battles. It could also use some more playable civilizations. [Sept 2011]

Campaign, graphics and the visual contact model are excellent but this simulation desperately needs a damage model for merchants, better usability and lots of small bug fixes and short-cut keys before it can be played. [Apr 2010]

Nicely converted to PC, but has one fatal flaw. The linear levels are too long and feel too similar even when one level is a ship and the second is a terrorist camp in the desert. A tube is a tube is a tube. [Mar 2006]

Order of Battle game mechanics suit the fighting on the Finnish front of WW2 well, allowing proper use of motti -tactics. Though the scenarios are good, the AI makes the Finns’ war effort too easy, and the historical accuracy, along with the finishing touches, is so-so. [Sept 2016]

Chaos Reborn works the best if you have played Chaos back in the 80s. The multiplayer is quite enjoyable, but as single player game Chaos Reborn gets boring fast. Dear Gollop, with a niche-game such as this, the key to lasting success is solid single player experience. [Dec 2015]

Fallout 3: The Pitt has better pacing, more freedom and more interesting locations than Operation: Anchorage. Still, it's just more content to the extremely content-rich Fallout 3 and still forces the player to track back from the main ending to play, which undermines the meaningfullness of it all.
