  1. It may be for hardcore fans and sadists only, but this is still a rewarding race. [GamesMaster]
  2. While I can honestly say that I'm not a big racing fan, Suzuki TT Superbikes was able to appeal to the competitor in me by providing a very accessible game for novices with enough depth to keep veterans challenged for many, many races.

Technically almost flawless, but extremely difficult to master. It is too hard for casual gamers, but fans are gonna love it. [Aug. 05]

Graphics are average, and the physics are impressive, though load times are excruciatingly long. [Dec 2005, p.108]
  5. Though patient motorcycle-simulation fans will see past Suzuki TT Superbikes' quirks and appreciate its authenticity, many will shy away from the game's single-track format, twitchy handling, and claustrophobic environment.

If you're a fan who desperately wants to see the race from a first-person perspective this will scratch that itch, but there are many other titles such as the upcoming MotoGP 4 that explore the territory much further.

If you are a complete bike racing fanatic I've got no doubt in my mind that the sheer excitement of racing around the track will be reason enough to warrant the price tag of TT Superbikes. For everybody else, this just isn't good enough to keep you interested.

That said I do believe I'd rate this as the best bike race game that I've played on the ps2. It many senses this is the bike game equivalent of the Colin McRae car race games. The bike handles quite well and you have a commentator announcing the corners and turns to you. Animations are well done and the physics imo is an improvement over the moto gp series on the same system. It may be a gimmick but you can pull wheelies by accelerating too fast and you can also be thrown off your bike if you crash. I like this added realism much better than the moto series however you only race in a group of 5 in this game which really dampens the excitement. One thing I'd like to note is there are 3 bike views, a third person view which makes racing the easiest, and two first person views one with a windshield and one without. The one without seems two low to the ground to be immersive, the windshield one is nice but then it's a bit hard to see through and affects your racing. I would have liked to see these worked on more since they were so critical to the gameplay immersion and racing ability outcomes. They seemed to be put in there for realism and they only semi work as well as they could have. Overall I would choose this as the best ps2 race bike game but It is pretty close to the gp series. Just my preference that I believe this overall is superior. Expand
