Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is charming to behold but ultimately bland to play. Its workmanlike design emphasises repetition over imagination, quantity over quality, and form over substance.

There is plenty of content in the game, but the difficulty level and average controls may mean that most people don't see all that the game has to offer.

Samurai Shodown Sen is a competent weapon-based fighting game with some unique gameplay mechanics. Unfortunately, it suffers from far too many shortcomings to make it worth recommending.

Neo Contra is verbose, but brief.

The "fans only" moniker is an awfully clichéd one, but players of Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles should not experience it any other way.

James Cameron's Avatar: The Game had everything it needed to be a great game, but a poor execution leaves us with a bloated fetch quest.

Enchanted Arms does nothing that particularly stands out, and there are superior experiences to be had on inferior hardware.

The controls aren't the only problem though, the linear gameplay, poor story and repetitive levels really bog this game down.

Two Worlds is a good game that suffers from a shoddy port. You would best be playing it on PC. Or, better yet, playing Oblivion.

Tired fishing puns aside, Sega Bass Fishing is a tasty, if dated and flawed kettle of arcade angling.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is a serviceable recycling of content from other games in the series, but probably the most 'missable' entry in the series to date.

Frankly, there isn't much here that will keep older gamers occupied for the long haul, but there is some fun to be had with this action-RPG. That's not to say that Beyond the Portals is a bad game - it’s just an average title that has a lot of good ideas but fails to execute them in a consistently fun manner.

If you like the movies, then add a couple of points to the score and purchase away; if you haven't bought it already, that is. Unforunately, we didn't like the movies, so it's difficult to see past the dodgy presentation and lacking gameplay. Stick with SingStar.

Conceptually solid, interesting and potentially enjoyable, but let down by poor execution and a sense of disconnection.

NBA 08 does some things wrong, and some things right. It offers enough differences from other NBA titles to warrant a look, and in what is already a crowded genre, at least that's something.

A zombie of the original. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop apes the genuine article and offers a little fun, but there's not much vitality behind its glassy stare and whatever spirit it once possessed has long since departed.

Mega Man Starforce is far from a bad RPG. It's just doesn't do anything that hasn't been done better before.

Not terrible, just an extremely pedestrian air shooter that makes no clear effort to distinguish itself as a game (or series) worth getting into. The very genre suffers from uninspired and unambitious titles such as this.

With a frustrating combination of watered down gameplay and bruising difficulty, Moto GP 08 is a racing title that belongs at the back of the pack.

With a hard to follow story and repetitive gameplay, it’s difficult to recommend Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 to anyone other than fans of the series.

A decent, speedy racer that is unfortunately cut down by a lack of lasting appeal.

At the end of the day, adults most likely won't find much long-lasting entertainment in LEGO Battles. But in short bursts, there is some fun to be had in revisiting a piece of your childhood.

MySims is fun, but not for very long.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII is a marginally better game on the PS3, but it's just not enough one year down the track. Good for a rent.

Speed Racer had potential but missed out in the end. The game’s AI is unbalanced, the Jump Attack mini-game feels like a gimmick and when you miss jumps you’re advanced ahead of other players. If you’re a Speed Racer fan or just like fast paced games in general though, then Speed Racer: The Videogame will appeal to you.
