Def Jam Rapstar confidently captures the swagger of the hip-hop genre with a slick combination of old-school and new-school tracks which are sure to delight any funky monkey.

Magicka is a solid action adventure title with a clever spellcasting mechanic that will provide hours of entertainment for gamers, especially if they play co-operatively.

The addition of rather clumsily-implemented mechanics ruins what could have potentially been a wonderful reimagining of and old arcade classic.

Prince of Persia Rival Swords has gameplay that has been well translated for the PSP but is awfully dragged down by technical problems.

Although there isn’t a lot that’s new in LEGO Batman, fans will not be disappointed. The title retains the standard LEGO gameplay, has a wonderful cast of characters, and offers players tons of replay value.

While the new Sega Rally offers a satisfying rally experience, it seems to lack the spirit of the two arcade originals – all of the parts are there, but the soul of the series just doesn’t seem to shine through.

With its awesome gameplay mechanics and game design, beautiful graphics and original setting, Gatling Gears is likely to be one of the better downloadable titles you'll play this year.

Simply put, this is a re-release of Gran Turismo 4 with motorbikes instead of cars. Technically more than competent, but not a whole lot of fun for people without a strong interest in bikes.

Although times have changed and the series isn’t the high profile name it used to be, if you want an old school, arcade style sliding, high speed racing game you need not look any further.

Although it's held back by a few presentation issues, Broken Sword on the Wii still holds up quite well and provides as engaging and entertaining experience as it ever did.

While Katamari Forever has enough variety to stay interesting for series veterans, and it's definitely worth checking out for Katamari virgins, the series is starting to get a little stale.

Fantastic value and a great look back at how far gaming has come. Unfortunately though, given the choice between this or a Platinum game, we'd choose the platinum game.

It's just a shame the actual game isn't more like the deeper, more realistic 'Army Mode' extra found in the Xbox version and not the limited, linear one we have here.

If you're a Singstar fan and a Queen fan then precious minutes shouldn't be spent on reading this review, but on picking up the game.

Power Stone Collection has been given a second chance and it shows that not many games have come close to its original formula. Though two players and more is a must.

Ultimate Spider-Man has an excellent comic book style presentation and a great story, but the gameplay seems to hold it back from being one of the better titles released this holiday season.

Despite the problems faced in difficultly, story involvement and some other minor nit-picks, The Third Age is an amazing game that'll keep gamers occupied for an easy 20+ hours.

Charming, but simple and repetitive. Sonic fans may find some fun, but there are far better RPGs to be found on the DS.

Sure, it's nice to see Gran Turismo eventually materialise and it plays great, but it would have been even nicer for it to have come fully fledged.

It seems PAL gamers got the good end of the stick here, with load times cut in half and everything making the cut that was in the American version. This is a racing game to seriously consider.

The innovation is there, and what’s expressed is done well. But Atelier Iris suffers from some really stupid mistakes. In a genre that relies heavily on keeping gamers interested, the backtracking, silly errand missions and slow progressing story don’t help at all.

It's a shame that the only real issue we had with Blur was its controls. If you can get over this the game is a blast, although not the SSX franchise's peak.

Darkwatch gives vampires, undead, cowboys and plenty of bullets to fire. But that's about it. Otherwise, Darkwatch is a fairly standard affair that's worth a rental.

Caesar IV is by far the best Roman city builder that has been released this year, but honestly that isn’t much of an achievement. A game that isn’t particularly stable, attractive or user-friendly, it’s hard to immerse yourself in the Caesar IV experience.

All the elements of a great game are here except the level design. That, however, is a key element in a game with exploration based goals.
