As a value proposition, there's nothing on PSP that comes close. It's a gigantic game; the core gameplay will probably take you 40 or 50 hours to get through, and it has 33 additional "games" that have the potential to occupy you another five or even 10 hours, if you really want to push it.- Official U.S. Playstation Magazine

In short, SOCOM II has addressed nearly every complaint I had about the first game, and added a bunch of new features on top of that. If you like the first game at all, run - don't walk, run - to get this game. [Dec 2003, p.160]- Official U.S. Playstation Magazine

Patience, careful planning, and a certain tolerance for trial and error are far more important than quick reflexes and an itchy trigger finger, which means it's not really for everyone. But if you're willing to put forth the effort, you're in for a supremely satisfying time.- Official U.S. Playstation Magazine
