Luckily the game's biggest strengths still hold up well, namely the armory of wicked crazy weapons, the variety of goofy enemies to fight - from Deckers to Matriarchs - and the absolute freedom to do whatever the hell you want to. [September p. 68]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

We are usually a bit skeptical when it comes to this kind of DLC, but we also have to admit we had a good bit of fun playing the Dunwall City Trials. On top that, just like the main game, there's plenty of replay value to be found here. [February 2013, p.91]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

In terms of gameplay you can still expect the same simple running around, talking to people and mashing buttons when you get attacked by a zombie. Story-wise however, this episode does what it needs to do. [September 2012, p.86]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

We are still not that fond of the first Kingdom Hearts. It divided the gaming community back then between those who hated it and those who build a shrine to it in their bedrooms. There was no middle ground. And there still is none today. [October 2013 p.84]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Both Mercury-games were released during the early years of the PSP. The games still play as they did before and look pretty neat in their HD-iterations. [Nov 2011, p.97]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

You probably saw this one coming from a mile away, but the latest DLC for Saints Row The Third is pretty over-the-top. Three missions may be a tad limited for the hefty price tag, but these are three great missions. [May 2012, p.87]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Unfortunately Darkstalkers is not a new game, it is a collection of the second and third game in the franchise, previously released on the PSone during the mid 90s. Officially it is an HD-collection, but it is the multiplayer that adds the real value to this re-release. [April 2013, p.91]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

If you are still playing COD: BLOPS II than there is really no reason why you should not consider purchasing this well made expansion pack to what has to undoubtedly be your favourite game of this year. [June 2013, p.90]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

We won't lie, we often cursed the day A Clone in the Dark was created. It is brutally unfair at times. So unfair, we considered buying a protective case for our poor PlayStation Vita, just to prevent us form smashing it to pieces after 100th or so unfair death scene. Seven. Seven times we sat through the entire opening sequence, whistling the Ducktales theme song along like a deranged school boy, before pressing the start button. But that doesn't mean we also want to sit through the boring new cut scenes in this remake. [September p.92]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Joking about how players have to ride from point A to B all time, is not funny, it is bad game design. You can argue for ages about the quality of the jokes and gags, but lets not forget that this high-speed roller-coaster of parodies has some unique and interesting gameplay mechanics to offer. Rainbow Moon looks like an old school Japanese RPG, but it is actually made by Germans. It is a decent homage to JRPG's, but also made us long for the real classics. The combat system is great, but the excessive grinding sort of spoils the fun. [September 2012, p.87]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

The director of Devil May Cry is at the helm here (or behind the buttons, if you like), which makes Dragon's Dogma feel like a purebred hack & slash from time to time. Complete with different fighting styles and easy to use skills. [June 2012, p.82]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

We are afraid that a lot of newcomers will give up on Starhawk because of its sometimes overwhelming action. And they would be wrong, because once you fully grasp the Build & Battle concept, there's a very unique multiplayer experience waiting to be discovered. Live The Life sounds great on paper, with emotional problems hampering your player's abilities and possibly determining what team he punches dudes in the face for. But in reality the system is ... undecipherable. [October 2013 p.88]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Team17 has finally abandoned 3D technology and returns to the good old 2D landscape. Or at least partially. The gameplay is back in its original 2D form, but the graphics are still in 3D, giving the game a nice visual touch. [November 2012, p.93]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

If you are an adult, you have to be in a really good mood to survive all this over-the-top happiness. But it is however a wonderful game to play together with your kids. The minigames are challenging, but easy enough to be enjoyed by players of all ages. [December 2011, p.86]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

A heartwarming story is what we miss the most. You get the feeling you are doing the dirty work for the real Fellowship. While they are making history in the south of Middle-earth, you need to cause some diversion in the north. [December 2011, p.93]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

The gameplay is deliberately kept simple, but offers enough depth to sink your teeth in. A combination of light and heavy attacks doesn't surprise anyone any more, but Luffy and his buddies move in such an enjoyable way it kept us entertained. Activision knows how to promote a product. There are ads running on every kids channel right now trying to convince them that Skylanders is the must-have game. Admittedly, the idea of the figurines is quite neat, but the game itself is nothing to get excited about. [December 2011, p.96]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

We're missing a bit of that Nintendo-magic when it comes to the environments. And the cast. While it is certainly representative of nearly twenty years of PlayStation, is missing the likes of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. Or any character from Square Enix for that matter.[December 2012, p.70]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Can't stand Nathan Drake? Well then we have some good news for you. In the latest DLC for Uncharted 3 you get to play as Zoran Lazarevi, Eddy Raja and Harry Flynn. Unfortunately the price is a bit too steep just to have the opportunity to play as a bad guy. [March 2012, p.98]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

It is difficult to write a review on a Dead or Alive game and not comment on the nice bounce to the chest that the majority of the female cast seems to have. Especially if you are playing on a handheld with a giant touch screen. [May 2013, p.90]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Not the most original title for a game, but do not let that fool you. This boxing game already appeared on iOS devices with a cheaper price tag, but the Vita version looks much sharper. Too bad the touch screen controls are a bit of a letdown. [October 2013 p.94]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

Ian Dallas himself emphasized that exploration and discovery are the core themes of The Unfinished Swan. So it's a bit unfortunate that only the first level truly embraces this concept, where you're confronted with nothing except for an endless blank space. Dante's walk is an awkwardness that constantly reminds you these are old games. Nevertheless: the atmosphere, the great voice acting and the cool battles are reason enough to add this collection to your... collection. Well, part 1 and 3, anyways. Just think of part 2 as a bonus. When it comes to graphics, Skullgirls is more than a match for its competitors. Still it lacks that finishing touch. We couldn't find a move list and even though twenty years ago we enjoyed discovering each character's move set, now we just want to jump right into the action. In the second map pack of Battlefield 3, DICE clearly takes a cue from Call of Duty's signature gameplay by dumping the more open, sprawling battlefields the franchise is known for in favour of smaller, more intimate maps. [July 2012, p.93]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux

This is a pretty good platformer, but we are appalled about how shamelessly Disney rips of LittleBigPlanet. The characters you play with look exactly like Sackboys. A nice touch: you can dress them up with all kinds of costumes from the Disney-universe. [December 2011, p.97]- Official PlayStation Magazine Benelux
