The days of a simple beat-em-up being acceptable passed with the Double Dragon franchise on the NES. Nowadays, this simply won't do.

Alhough the story mode levels are rather uninspired and the puzzles disasters, the tons of collectables and interesting (to say the least) storyline, paralleling characters in the show, will keep any young girl gamer who is a fan of the show more or less satisfied.

There was certainly enough material to make Kong a perfectly decent ‘me too’ platformer, but apparently gameplay wasn’t the focus during development.

It is slow, annoying and simply boring.

Climax Studios restricted themselves too much by maintaining this old style though; gorgeous environments fall short of their potential and elements to enhance gameplay were intentionally left out, and yet with more of a negative result than their exclusion from original games back in the day.

At its worst, Shadow is a solid platformer with enough fun to keep hardcore Sonic fans in one place for a few days. At its best, it's an engaging gameplay experience that isn't jaded by its otherwise glaring storyline-related setbacks.

It's a strange hybrid of game and cartoon, but my main problem is that is not quite either. There are sections of activity, followed by long periods of inactivity. If I were five, I reckon it would frustrate me. I'd want to watch or play, not both.

Sound for this game is very poor.

On one hand, you have gorgeous visuals, tense action-paced music, and a hefty single player mode (8 levels which should take you around 30 minutes to an hour each). However, the other side of the coin features linear missions, sloppy controls, framerate issues and an overall buggy design.

    xXx
Though xXx may have nice graphics and music, its gameplay is highly tedious.

It simply does not capture the spirit of the Daredevil character and his universe.

From extremely cheap computer AI, lack of combo attacks, and boring same old, same old gameplay, in a way I have to say this title is just too old school.

The average replay value I’d approximate for any player of this game would be no more than five minutes. Heck, halfway through one game, you won’t even want to finish the game.

An awful videogame with no redeeming value.

There are hints of potential in Monsters 4x4, but underdeveloped gameplay, a horrible camera, and some of the worst songs and sound effects ever in a GameCube title plague them into pettiness.

I personally am not a wrestling fan, but I am a fan of the SK/Mummy movies, and enjoyed myself despite the game being mostly average.

The execution just wasn’t there. The entire game seemed to walk across the line between mediocre and good. The gameplay, while having the right concept, just isn’t as fun as it might have been.

Perhaps the best aspect of the game is that you will care a lot about collecting treasure.

Able to separate itself form the pack through its simple control scheme and fast action gameplay. If you are looking for a racer for the kid who always crashes into the wall in other racing games, then Slot Car Thunder is the perfect choice.

There was one point where I once went to a part of a level, and it was missing. The level wasn't there at all. I was floating in mid air. Eventually it re-appeared but this shouldn't happen.

I’m not saying Catch a Ride is bad, because it does the best job that Crazy Taxi could possibly do on a Game Boy. There are just certain places that the GBA should not go, and a full-out 3D port of a 128-bit game is one of them.

Yet at the bottom of it all it doesn't flash the most impressive gameplay, and certain missions can become tedious and so out of the norm they can become extremely frustrating.

A subpar racing game. I had a somewhat fun time blazing through Story Mode, but with a lack of tracks, no real reason to play the other modes, and the fact that you'll get bored of it in less than an hour, it's hard to recommend this game.

What is there that's new could be passed on, and the different options, excluding hold, create an all too easy Tetris. There are other Tetrises out there that do it better.

If you want a Pokémon knock-off that's good, go for "Pokémon Snap" or those great party games in Pokémon Coliseum, as those are at least enjoyable. Pokémon Dash is really only for those who like a racer that's fun for about an hour.

While it’s not a perfect port, R-Type III still plays like it was made for the GBA. The few shortcomings are forgivable since the immortal gameplay of the original hasn’t changed.

Ends up being a pretty bad, even for a movie licensed game, which will only appeal to young girls that would enjoy a horse taming simulation, with or without the license.

This game was just a little too slow (though faster than most), pulled cheap tricks, and was lacking in most departments (no stats, no Homerun Derby, no All-Star Game) and too frustrating.
