Like a Vegas buffet, the price is right, and there's something in here for everybody.

Ultimately, Friend or Foe will not be confused for an epic and will likely be soon forgotten among Wii titles, but it is nevertheless a decent beat-em-up and is worth a rental or a bargain-bin purchase for co-op fanatics or hardcore Spidey fans.

Destiny's Soldier is incredibly faithful to the traditional Mage Knight rules, but this, unfortunately, mostly serves as a reminder of how strategy games have evolved differently on and off of video game systems.

It is a fast, kick-ass wicked ride that just kept me coming back for more. In short, it is an excellent video game and few games reach that status in my book.

It has some new twists unfamiliar to puzzle enthusiasts, but nothing so raw or innovative as to really put it a cut above its brethren.

The learning curve in Mission mode is quite steep, and many will undoubtedly be put off by the slow pace at which each stage unfolds.

It's apparent that the team who made this put a great deal of love into it. Where other other companies seem content to port classics with a few overhauls, here's an entirely new game that feels like a classic. Now that's refreshing.

This is not the first time an Activision-published title has taken shortcuts on a Wii version of a multiplatform title, and in each case it has left Wii fans not simply with a lower-res product (which ought to be expected), but a completely different and inferior game (which ought not to be).

Surprisingly fun and has a bit of staying power.

As modern games go, this one looks pretty bad, is short, and has very little beyond the core game.

There are better options in the eShop, but if someone is looking for something new, Iron Combat might do in a pinch.

All things considered, I can kind of give High Strangeness a halfhearted recommendation; the soundtrack is outstanding and there are some clever story and gameplay concepts on display, just don’t be surprised if the second half leaves you feeling low.

The title is a perfect match for gamers looking for the kind of survival horror title that the genre was founded on. The game might not offer the same kind of jump scares as titles like Resident Evil, but with a story inspired by the real-life cruelty of history, Whispering Willows might actually be scarier.

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter is a good example of a great premise wrecked by poor programming.

Sure, with its simplistic graphics, it's definitely a budget game, but it's one that actually deserves a place outside the bargain bin. Those worms want to be on top, after all.

Taken as a whole, ATOMINE largely succeeds at what it is trying to accomplish; the game simply wants to be a solid twin-stick shooter with rogue-like elements and it fulfills that goal precisely. Of course, this means the game never really rises to greatness and is unlikely to be all that appealing to those looking for a more innovative or compelling experience. Regardless, if you have a love for this type of game, or at least a momentary lust, then ATOMINE should be a perfectly suitable way to fulfill those desires.

VS3 is all mouth and no trousers.

A decent effort that can still be improved both in terms of car and course line-ups, and the control scheme. However, I like that the game keeps you honest with a health meter for your car so you can’t go apeshit on everything.

MySims Kingdom for DS ultimately fails because it never really lends itself to any one solid gameplay philosophy.

Cars Race-O-Rama is a half-hearted effort throughout; all the pieces fit together but nothings stands out as particularly noteworthy and every facet of the game seems to be in need of a couple extra layers of polish.

Frankly speaking, it's one of the best titles from the NES years. However, the game has been ported so many times that it hardly stands on its own as a stand-alone experience.

Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity is, at best, a rental for the true Lyoko devotee -- the game can easily be beaten in a short span -- and a polite pass for everyone else.

Anyone who is on the fence about this sort of game, and especially those who don’t find it appealing at all, isn’t going to be swayed by Senran Kagura 2. It’s okay in bursts, but overall its gameplay doesn’t have the entertainment value to distract from its overreliance on sexiness to ensnare players.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is fun, but flawed. It doesn’t deliver a very unique experience, nor does it at all deliver a faithful adaptation of the film it’s supposed to be based on. But as a longtime Spider-Man fan, I still had a really good time with it.

The game and controller is easily worth what retailers are charging, and the package is an ideal way of getting the Wii message of playing together across to the casual consumer. Wii Play is far more than just a collection of minigames, it is an extension of the console itself and should be the first port of call for all new Wii owners.

Despite its flaws, especially on plot, This is the Police 2 still manages to be a compelling piece of gaming. With gameplay that can really suck players in and no shortage of police-style problems to deal with, it’s definitely an experience worth looking into.

There I was, acting like a little schoolgirl, playing my Lizzie McGuire game, when the action just stopped. It's over. Kaput. The end. I beat the game. I checked the time log on the title screen. I had been playing for exactly one hour.

There is absolutely nothing upgraded in Wolfenstein 3D for its GBA romp, and with the game being so simple, this accounts for most of the damage done to its overall score.

While not the most challenging game, Lethal Alliance hits its mark in appealing to the widest possible range of Star Wars gamers new and old.

Despite some shortcomings, Naruto: Path of the Ninja is a worthy effort, and just might be the best portable Naruto game currently available.

What sounded like the combination of a management game, Animal Crossing, and The Sims turned out to be barely influenced by all three. If you’re looking for a relaxing Switch game where you can collect clothing, decorate your home, and hang out with animals, there is already the perfect game for you: Animal Crossing New Horizons. If you’ve already played it to the point of needing new joysticks, then there are plenty of other indie alternatives to pick up before giving Calico consideration.

Like SSX Blur, Boogie is another audio-visual feast with flawed gameplay.

The prettiest N64 football game. It has decent gameplay and commentators that are better than average.

After forcing myself to play it through, I must admit the game has some positive qualities -- just not enough to endear it to anyone over the age of 9.

The puzzles are well-crafted and mostly intuitive, while the story seems lackluster and fails to provide motivation at some points. Since story is often the major driving force behind an adventure game, it falls to the individual player to decide how well the game fares.

If you have the patience to overlook its technical shortcomings and master its quirks, Eye of the Beholder is actually a pretty decent dungeon-crawling experience to take on the road with you.

Deca Sports DS could have been so much better. Hudson had most of the game locked down, but the controls are awful. The game had to have been play tested, and there is no reason as to why they weren’t fixed.

As I said above, Frontier also doesn’t really offer much challenge until later in the game. A lack of difficulty isn’t always the biggest problem if the gameplay is irresistibly fun regardless, but Frontier‘s battling tends to become too formulaic with no significant strategy or planning needed to barrel through opponents.

There are also plenty of more entertaining and more educational games out there that you can pick up for your youngun at the same price, if not lower. Stay away from this one. It doesn't belong in your collection.

Dawn of the Dragon may be lacking the polish and spark of big name DS titles, but it’s a solid time-waster.

Nevertheless, Wordmaster is what it is and does not try to be anything more. Like its included instruction manual, it is a no-frills take on familiar concept.

There’s very little here that hasn’t already been done a lot better elsewhere– and as side-note mini-games to boot.

Fighting game loyalists may want to steer away, but anyone looking to thrash perky and magically endowed creatures may find enjoyment in the world of Zatch Bell!

It’s fun while it lasts, but there just isn’t enough meat to the package, and it’s hard to recommend it over games like Zen Pinball 2 or Pokémon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire.

The platforming is polished, if simple, and the graphics are above par. Just as the game isn't awful, however, neither is it good, and it certainly doesn't have much staying power, even for young ones.

Fans of portable dungeon crawlers with touch-screen interaction, rejoice. This is the game you have been waiting for.

Clunky controls, claustrophobic environments, mundane combat, and a brief story mode all conspire to make this a forgettable experience.

Outside of some obnoxious boss battles, this is a great game from a continuously creative developer.

The biggest problem with Shrek the Third is that everything lacks polish.

With monotonous levels and repetitive action, one can’t hope to play this title for more than an hour at a time.

Greater attention to gameplay mechanics might have resulted in a broader appeal, but with an off-putting control setup, poor hit detection and repetitive objectives, gamers who've never heard of Naruto probably won't want to take the plunge.

May not be the best follow-up for Tantalus after their great work on "Top Gear Rally" and "Monster Truck Madness," but they seem to do a better job than most on licensed titles.

Nacho Libre isn't perfect, but it is a game with a lot of character. The sense of humor lends a lot to the title, and the wrestling game is entertaining, once the controls and rules have been puzzled out.

We Cheer is an excellent and novel take on creating a game that utilizes Wii's motion controls for something intuitive and unexpected.

A fun and energetic game that works well as a platformer, but horribly as a showcase. The game controls well, but has many graphical problems.

MySims Party is attempting to be a party game collection that people will turn to. The problem is there are better games that do the same thing already.

Despite all these gripes, Rooms is still a blast to play. While $30 may seem a bit steep for the title that, when boiled down, is nothing more than an advanced slide puzzle, once the game inevitably lands in the bargain bins it is definitely recommended for any puzzle fan.

The control scheme is largely a mess, but Electronic Arts succeeds in giving gamers more standard WWII action gameplay.

It's cute, it's exhilarating, and it's an extremely good alternative to the failed Pokemon Channel. Is it worth the casual gamer's dollar? Probably not.

It legitimately feels like the developer created a good linear game based off a solid mechanic, and then tried to throw in some Metroidvania elements at the last minute but didn’t really know what they were doing and, as they were trying to rush the game out the door, forgot to do sufficient QA testing. In other words, Mable & The Wood feels unfinished.

On the whole, Thor: God of Thunder is probably only going to be for people who are seriously hardcore about their Thor, as it's clear the Wii version did not get the lion's share of the development resources.

Though it lacks any original mechanics, and has a somewhat shallow premise, Sarge’s War is very finely polished. So polished, in fact, that you may just slip up (grasp the pun?) as a gamer and ignore the game outright.

When taken as a whole, Active Life: Extreme Challenge is a decent enough game, especially for young fans of extreme sports.

Since it would be considered a "casual" game in the first place, it doesn't offer a high-end graphics experience and isn't heavy on the presentation, but with multiplayer support and a second quest, Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of the Spooky Manor is a graphic adventure with a lot to offer.

If you absolutely must have a new brawler, then this game is perfectly functional, but it falls short in overall quality.

Sweet Shop is a step backwards in some ways, but it’s a classic example of less being more. As a result, it’s also a strong jumping on point for new and lapsed fans. It’s good fun, there are a bunch of recipes to complete, and the charm of Mama as she guides players through the game is wonderful, as always. Sweet Shop should by no means be a swan song for the series; instead, it’s a rallying cry.

My biggest problem with Chubbins is that I never quite found myself having fun with it. Instead, I was consistently frustrated, and longer play sessions resulted in sore thumbs.

The varied options are a nice addition, but most importantly, the game offers off-TV play. As a game geared toward children, allowing kids to play remotely is a fantastic feature. This is arguably the port's biggest upgrade in the transition between consoles.

Fans of the Scooby-Doo! universe will find this a nice pick-up, especially those on the younger end.

However, the title comes up short in every department or ignores them completely.

It's hard to explain the addictiveness that sets in after a few levels, but it's safe to say that it's head and shoulders above the likes of "Donkey Kong" and "Ice Climber."

Judged on a point-by-point basis, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers is not a good game; the presentation is awfully generic, the story and dialogue don’t make sense, and the gameplay is ultimately hampered by painful motion controls.

It is a decent game, and will impress you with its 3D effects and difficulty. However, with an asking price of $39.99, the game just isn't worth it, unless you are a major Monkey Ball fan.

Given the fact that this is the franchise's real debut on a Nintendo console and Wii's success in bringing in new gamers, Samurai Warriors 3 is going to be the first chance for many gamers to try this controversial series, and to those people I definitely recommend at least giving it a try.

The Amazing Spider-Man for 3DS is a mixed bag of a game that manages to amount to more than the sum of its parts. The combat is incredibly simple and varies little throughout the game, but the sheer power of the character and great flow of combat makes it satisfying and fun to watch.

There's only so long you can stand to watch Pikachu frolicking aimlessly on an empty beach. This may be a good game for very young children who are still interested in Pokémon, but God bless the parent who has the patience to play through it with them.

Those who spend countless hours in front of the TV, monitoring the daily misadventures of Dexter and the Powerpuff Girls will certainly find something to appreciate in this game, but for everyone else, it’s probably best to stick with Mario and friends.

The vibe on the PC version seems good, but this DS port proves mediocre. Many had great expectations, but this is not our vision of fury.

A largely unoriginal action/platformer that does little to expand its genre.

Escape 2 Africa was a delightful surprise.

Battleship, Connect Four, Sorry, Trouble is good for a single player fix. Battleship is fun, but the others lose the thrill of chance when the AI masterminds a close game.

Shadow Fight 2 is a solid game at its core and some might be able to dig through, or even appreciate, the flaws around it to really enjoy everything it does well. Unfortunately, I don’t think the majority will have the necessary patience.

The gameplay is far too limited to be played for long stretches of time, but it's a nice way to kill a half hour here and there.

This cricket doesn’t ever get off the ground.

Puzzle fans and casual gamers looking for an affordable, quick game have a great option in Jill's bakery.

It feels unpolished and gives very little bang for its buck.

Anyone who loves it will continue to love it, and for anyone who's sick of the formula, this isn't the game to change your mind.

Sure, you're able to use different powers, but it's still contrived and after the first half an hour or so, the gameplay becomes boring.

Friend or Foe attempts to give players their ultimate fantasy of controlling the legendary webslinger and his infamous villains. However, redundant gameplay and level design are hidden behind a solid presentation with great voice-work and clean graphics.

If you’re a seasoned gamer looking for a short X-Men fix, this one works, but most other folks will want to take a pass.

Really just The Incredible Machine gussied up with new paint, courtesy of Marc Eckō and his company. The story framework is just that– a very, very loose framework– and new tools, though interesting, don't do anything particularly newfangled.

All of the elements are there for a really good game. The only things holding this back are the serious repetition and the small amount of different modifications you can do to each car.

The graphics are grainy but interesting. Sound effects are awesome, especially when concerning the dragons. Ignore the voice acting and you’re good to go.

The music is funky and the graphics are fresh and frenzied.

Besides being on the dull side, the game unquestionably offers the player quite a bit of unlockable items, extras, and mini-games to mess around with.

Fans of Grasshopper's original work will not be disappointed, but adventure game fans that don't have any previous experience with Suda's work may want to think twice about this one.

There's much less action or platforming and it's all about solving the puzzles on your own time.
