Nintendo GamerJust not terribly exciting. [May 2010, p.68]
-
Though the game isn't that great whilst playing alone, it isn't too bad either. Moreover, the single-cart multiplayer adds a lot to the overall package.
-
With the control issues that some of these games have, you'll probably have to play Deca Sports DS quite a few times just to decide if you like any of them at all.
-
Like most minigame compilations, you really need to round up a few friends to get the most fun out of Deca Sports DS. The events have a simplistic skew and several just aren't worth returning to alone, leaving you underwhelmed after a while.
-
Deca Sports DS could have been so much better. Hudson had most of the game locked down, but the controls are awful. The game had to have been play tested, and there is no reason as to why they weren’t fixed.
-
Nintendo PowerDeca Sports DS gives you a few different ways to experience its 10 sports, including tournaments and quick challenges, but aside from a couple of winning events, it's doubtful you'll keep coming back for more. [Apr 2010, p.87]
-
Very forgettable in solo play, Sports Island DS isn’t that great in multiplayer either.
