I really wanted to enjoy Spirit of the North as someone who is passionate for Nordic folklore, meditative video game experiences, and foxes. Unfortunately, amid the game’s performance issues and lackluster gameplay, the title comes across as unfocused at best and unplayable at worst. There’s a meditative, thoughtful, and even great game that’s underneath all of the uncomplimentary design decisions, and the poor technical performance of the Switch port is the nail in the coffin of an already flawed experience.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Don’t get me wrong. When Mario Kart Tour flashes its moments of brilliance, you’ll have a bit of fun with it. As a free game, I think there’s little reason not to at least give it a shot. There’s always room for Nintendo to utilize steering assist and get this game back on track in future updates. But in its current state, it’d be difficult not to deem Mario Kart Tour the weakest of Nintendo’s current mobile offerings.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Radiantflux: Fractal is cheap at $2.99, and the price is suitable. It’s short, it’s weird, and some people won’t like it, but I think it has a certain charm to it that made it pretty enjoyable. If you like more obscure style games, or shmups, this one may be up your alley.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The monochromatic look is great and the splashes of blood really help to elevate it. The story is likewise interesting, with fun and engaging characters. I came across a few frustrating levels, but these were rare and, at the end of the day, made me really appreciate the fun I had been having.- Nintendo Enthusiast

I consider Aqua Moto Racing Utopia to just be a sub-par release. Again, it’s not bad, it’s just not great. Maybe casual/younger race fans might find some enjoyment out of it, but don’t jump into this pool unless you find standing around in the shallow end to be fun.- Nintendo Enthusiast

If you survive Iron Combat’s difficulty and manage master the controls, you will have a great game with a fast-paced game and a lot of action for a good price. If you don’t, you will have a frustrating game that you will get stuck forever.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Whispering Willows is by no means a masterpiece, but it is a beautiful world and an engaging atmosphere that unfortunately is wrapped in undeveloped gameplay and a not very compelling story.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash is a wonderful looking game with very little substance. The game is a hollow corpse when held up against the franchise’s history. I just don’t understand how a franchise hitting a console with so many opportunities such as the Wii U could have fallen so hard on its face.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Dr. Mario World is another solid entry in Nintendo’s mobile lineup. I was concerned that Dr. Mario World wouldn’t do enough to differentiate itself from the plethora of match-3 games on the market. However, its blend of classic Dr. Mario gameplay and new mechanics keeps things feeling fresh. I’ll certainly be playing this for a while to come. Maybe I’ll run into you on the battlefield!- Nintendo Enthusiast

Exile’s End is not a game you should avoid, but with the many quality games on eShop, it makes it hard to recommend. The game does a nice job to recreate the experience it was looking for, but failed at making what these games make fun: the interesting level design and challenge.- Nintendo Enthusiast

This is not something you will play for hours at a time. As a cheap, content-light package, it is most enjoyable in small doses. Still, Soccer Slammers definitely has a spot in any local multiplayer-oriented catalog. If you and your friends are looking for something immensely frantic and easy to pick up and play, then Soccer Slammers is a worthy addition to your library.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Beholder: Complete Edition is the kind of game that gets overshadowed by its theme and setting. The dire situations you are placed under with little hope attached gets exhausting and, frankly, depressing. Not all games are meant to represent having a happy-go-lucky time, but the experience of overcoming it should be palpable. That is unfortunately not the case here.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cloud Version presents an enjoyable and original story with excellent writing and vocal performances, adding up to a narrative that is both comedic and surprisingly heartfelt. A meaty but meaningfully varied campaign introduces fun locations and surprises for Marvel fans, and it’s backed up by a killer '80s soundtrack. Combat makes clever use of synergizing the team’s abilities as well. However, that combat doesn’t evolve enough throughout the story to maintain its appeal. And on Switch specifically, technical performance issues stemming from cloud streaming make this the worst version of the game to play.- Nintendo Enthusiast

If you’re into regularly hosting or attending parties then yes, 1-2-Switch is a game for you and you’ll get your money’s worth out of it. However if you’re thinking of picking this up to play with the family on weekends, you’ll find the game collecting dust fairly quick. The mini-games get old fast and the game gets exponentially less fun with less people. Top that off with its significant price point and you can be sure that 1-2-Switch will be filling up bargain bins within months.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Ultimately, whether you will enjoy Voxel Maker will come down to whether you like making cool artwork. The game offers a way to let you easily craft nifty 3D models and scenes. There’s nothing really noteworthy or great about it, but if you want to make some retro-style 3D art and share it on Miiverse, and think that is worth five bucks, then Voxel Maker is a place to do just that.- Nintendo Enthusiast

The best experiences in SkyScrappers will be against your friends, since it is a multiplayer game first and foremost. A decent game, but nothing groundbreaking, SkyScrappers is not among the eShop’s best local multiplayer games. It is par for the course, but the novelty wears thin after only a few rounds. The low price tag may make it worth the plunge for some, but most will unfortunately find that this is not worth the investment.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Stranded Sails – Explorers of the Cursed Sails is a game that’s perfect for portable play on the Nintendo Switch, a worthy gem in a sea of similar games worth the 15 or so hours it will take you to complete. It isn’t grindy and retains its focus while also understanding the importance of allowing you to meander with some fishing or farming.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Despite its shortcomings, Defunct is still a mostly enjoyable little game. Though, it’s hard to determine if it has any real lasting appeal. Given its short playtime, if you do go through the trouble of exploring every level to the absolute maximum, you may be able to squeeze a handful more hours out of it. But, there really isn’t much to come back to after that. I’d say this is a game better picked up on sale if it ever drops below the $10 mark. Defunct is a fun distraction, but it’s hard to consider it to be any more than that.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Unlike the Wii days, Sports Party stands mostly alone in its genre on Switch. But, there are still alternatives. Personally, I would check out Bandai Namco’s Go Vacation before this. If this title really speaks to you though, I would only give it consideration at $20 or less.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece for Cloud is a compilation of all the entries in the series needed to get the full Kingdom Hearts experience. Despite not being the best way to play these games due to cloud gaming issues like erratic frame rate and sound problems, it's still Kingdom Hearts on Switch, and that is beautiful.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Overall, Gear.Club Unlimited is pretty much a missed opportunity. Eden Games took a second chance, but this may as well be a content update to the first game since virtually no real improvements have been made. This is, absurdly, a $60 title, vastly outclassed by similarly-priced games like Forza Horizon 4. Take a detour and wait for other racers like V-Rally 4 and GRID; this is just a tire blowout.- Nintendo Enthusiast

Dementium Remastered is a great addition to the eShop, and shows the higher polished side of things that are available on it. The game packs quite a punch in terms of presentation, and the gameplay is mostly there to match it. If you are a fan of horror games or FPS games, then this is a game that you should check out this holiday season.- Nintendo Enthusiast
