This game doesn't have a whole lot going for it outside of the gorgeous backgrounds (which, again, are awesome). Between the slow moving story, the awkward controls, and the inability to discern some of the important items on the screen, I really don't think the game is worth spending time playing.

And really once you've been in two or three fights, you begin to simply say "ho-hum, now what"? You quickly get bored of things and start losing your concentration. By that time you also start losing interest in the game itself.

An excellent game for little kids but won’t provide much excitement for others. The gameplay is very simplified, and the action gets repetitive quickly.

The camera in Astro Boy is absolutely inexcusable. Although you can manipulate the view using the L2 and R2 buttons (which you will be doing a lot), you find yourself looking straight into little Astro’s gigantic eyes again before you know it.

If any more Oddworld games are brought to the GBA, I really hope that they go back to the side-scrolling format. In fact, a direct port of the original Oddworld for Playstaion wouldn't be a bad idea, and would have surely come out better than this game did.

I was really looking forward to this game, it is really a shame they didn’t fix the problems they should have during beta testing: control issues, AI problems, weapon balancing and character differentiations. Like I said, maybe they’ll get it right next time.

The games biggest problem, as I have said before, is that it is coming into a market that is ridiculously over saturated with WWII and Vietnam shooters already, and it does not do enough to separate itself from the pack, so I have a feeling it will be doomed to slip by the wayside unnoticed by most.

So here is the game in a nutshell. For 20 bucks you get a solid playing game that you basically could have had for the last 2 years. And if you're a Slugfest: Loaded player, there's simply no reason to even bother with Slugfest 2006.

The concept of the game, the living ships that can morph as the situation changes, if implemented correctly, could have been VERY cool for an RTS game. It’s just too darn bad that the rest of the game fell flat on its face and left the graphics and concept high and dry.

Two things work against Stacked in the end. One, while the computer AI is great, whoever is dealing the cards needs to be looked into by the gaming commission. And it says "Halo With Chips" on the back, which gives the game higher expectations than it should. Being that I am really enjoying playing Texas Hold'em both in video games and in real life, I wanted to like Stacked. Unfortunately there are just too many other Poker games out there that are better, even with less realistic AI.
