All is Lost adds some interesting elements to the classic autorunner formula and it's pretty fun and engaging, but it also lacks variety and content.

Ring Fit Adventure delivers a simple but funny fitness experience, with a traditional RPG feel and many exercises you can do by using a surprisingly accurate ring device.

Nier has never been a perfect game, and with a bolder attitude this could have been the perfect way to rediscover this hidden gem of the Playstation 3 era. The work done here is still pretty good, and a great way to show why Nier has become kind of a cult classic.

Final Fantasy XIII is a huge, incredibly well realized game with a brand new and spectacular combat-progression system made even better by top notch visual and sound. Unfortunately these good features have to face some serious flaws like the unnecessary linearity and the too hard difficulty level.

Though it's not simple and fast-paced as Angry Birds, Bag Piggies is a real blast, an action puzzle game with a very deep gameplay and plenty of levels.

Sackboy is back with a very colorful and happy vengeance. While the Create option has been dropped, Sackboy has gained a third dimension. On his quest to stop the evil Vex, Sackboy travels through almost lifelike crafted worlds full of perils. While Sackboy himself hasn't learned many new tricks, his enemies and the environment have, resulting in a diverse journey that is a treat to undertake.

Treyarch had a full four years to develop its new Call of Duty, and, with no surprise, it's the best in recent years. The studio had time to refine a movement system that will likely redefine the series' standards going forward. They've paired a fast-paced, fun multiplayer with an outstanding campaign, and Zombie is as close to the golden days of Black Ops as it gets. And yet, it's available with a Game Pass subscription. For us, that's a pretty good deal.

Finally a next generation FIFA with its valid technical features is arrived on PC. Too bad for the bugged and bewildering play-by-play and for the absence of the innovations founded in the console version.

Inferno+ is an excellent twin analog shooter, it's got a solid gameplay and very responsive and accurate touch controls. What a pity it's a bit too easy at medium difficulty.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is another great work for the preservation of classic videogames. There are no major changes in this "second installment" compared to the previous collection, however, the work done remains valid and the titles chosen are very solid. Sure, the predecessors of Plasma Sword and Project Justice could have been included and some additional surprises added, but it is difficult to have serious complaints for the whole package, outside of the lack of crossplay. The company clearly cares about many of its old classics... who knows if we'll see other big names back in the future.

This is a very particular product: a puzzle with a new approach, an original way to create a game. At first it could be not that addictive, but when you understand the gameplay's mechanic, it will catch your attention for a long time.

Building on the same formula of Heroes of Loot and Space Grunts, Heroes of Loot 2 presents an original take on the dungeon crawler structure with some peculiar idea in place, like the double characters. There are some flaws in balancing and design, but overall it's an enjoyable little game.

Stray is a small pearl, an adventure that delivers truly suggestive sequences and a fascinating story, which rests on the solid foundations of a very well written lore. Of course, just like a stray cat the game happens to get scared for every little jolt, so the team created a comfortable bubble giving up to fully express its potential.

Arriving sixteen years after the first, this second chapter lands in a radically different gaming context: the creators know this, and manage to play just right with the nostalgia of the original World of Goo players, while simultaneously unfolding a game formula that spirals in surreal directions towards the end of the adventure. And it is precisely this happy spiraling that makes World of Goo 2 great and significant, a true manual for those who want to evoke great glories from the past. In its mobile and chaotic structures and in the physics of its unpredictable fluids, the virtual world of Goo Balls is a certainty for puzzle enthusiasts and, more generally, for games created with care, courage, and awareness.
