After almost all of the survival horror aspects have been removed, what's left is just another action game, which is a bit too similar to the fourth chapter. Cooperative play is what makes Resident Evil 5's day, but fans' expectations were really high and this new episode is "just" an excellent and fun game, especially for the ones who fell in love with the saga some years ago.

Graphically stunning, fun to play in single and multiplayer and full of content, N.O.V.A. 3 might as well be a Crysis 2 rip-off, but it's also the best FPS available on mobile devices.

The gravity element adds more flavor to the classic Angry Birds gameplay, giving you the chance to hit the pigs from different angles. The presence of some new birds is also welcome.

Street Fighter X Tekken is very easy to play but also deep and very pro friendly. But in order to fully enjoy the clash of the two franchises you have to buy an arcade stick.

This War of Mine is a very peculiar game, based on simple survival mechanics made pretty challenging by the realism of the experience.

Devil Daggers is a minimalist but well-crafted old-school FPS cleverly mixed with the modern obsession for score attack.

Far from being another top-down dual-stick shooter, Space Marshals is instead an extremely well crafted and entertaining action adventure with some strong stealth elements.

After more than a decade, the generation-defining classic Red Dead Redemption arrives on PC, but the landing is not the nice one you'd expect after such a long time. It brings new life to the pictorial world created by Rockstar Games, but an incoherent stability and the price wall makes it hard to justify the purchase.

Hector: Badge of Carnage - Episode 1 is a brilliant, foul-mouthed "point and click" adventure that everyone should try. The game is full of irreverence and "trash" situations, there's a good number of puzzles to solve and the graphics and sound are awesome. Don't miss it.

It's true, there are too many "ultra arcade games" on the App Store right now, and most of them become quickly boring and repetitive. But Monster Dash is slightly different: though the game keeps the classic "survival" structure, it gives you a health bar, four different stages and a lot of weapons to blast the enemies. If you like the genre, don't miss it!

Retro City Rampage is a weak 2D version of GTA, with a lot of difficult and repetitive missions. Its pixel art is impersonal, and the story has no sense at all(which is different from nonsense). Music and controls are the best part of the game, but they aren't good enough to separate the game from mediocrity.

Alien: Isolation is still an excellent survival horror on iOS and Android too. This conversion is technically perfect but it requests a smartphone or tablet with high-end hardware and will be a lot better to play using a Bluetooth controller.

Cassette Beasts is an excellent title from various points of view, with some slight stumbling blocks on the quality of life, but nothing impeding and so problematic. A truly profound monster taming title that shines for the design of the boss battles and narrative citations to the Arthurian cycle. A title that rewards strategy, thanks to a really well-implemented system of interactions between elements and which also takes full advantage of fusions between creatures and synergies with travel companions.

No longer a classic need for speed game, EA made a true shift, a u-turn, developing a great game, with stunning visuals, and a lot of cars and tracks. The nightly undercover challenges are gone, but the new mechanics, borrowed from games such Forza or GT work well in conveying a great driving feeling.
