Not the deepest 4x title out there, StarDrive regains complexity through real time space combat and well implemented ship customization. Oddly the launch version of the game is incomplete, full of glitches and needs urgent updates.

Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition is a charming experience, at least at the beginning. It is relaxing and immersive for a while, until you hit some structural flaws in its gathering and progression system, but overall it remains an enjoyable game.

Double Dragon Revive was a real surprise — one of those games we didn’t expect much from, only to realize we had unfairly underestimated it. Yuke’s work is a smart evolution not only of the series it belongs to, but of the entire beat ’em up genre as well. It’s a genuinely satisfying title in its core elements, falling short only due to the lack of extra modes. Apart from that, it’s truly an excellent Double Dragon — one to be experienced, one punch at a time.

You can't really blame Gameloft for being unoriginal, but it's hard to accept so many technical downsides and gameplay issues from a game which should be top of his class.

Despite quite a potential, Venetica takes elements from other different games mortifying all of them with a result that doesn't come even close to the quality level that an ambitious production needs to reach.

As a fighting game, J-Stars Victory VR+ is quite limited, but with more than fifty characters taken from the most important manga and anime series, will definitely make Shonen Jump fans happy.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop has little to do with the original game for Xbox 360, since the gameplay and philosophy behind it are completely different. It also suffers from a series of problems that make it frustrating at times. This game seems to be a spin-off rather than a real conversion, but it's still a challenging action-packed title.

Real Football 2012 unfortunately suffers from the same problems that characterized last year's edition: poor AI, no official licenses and unresponsive controls.

Star Wars Unleashed 2 is a good game which manages to improve over its predecessor's shortcomings. It's still too short and samey as a whole. Fans will enjoy it for sure.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a good tie-in, with lots of missions and a nice online multiplayer. The gameplay is repetitive, however, and the stages could have been larger. A nice title for all the Transformers fans out there, definitely.

The PC version of WWE 2K17 comes out of time for several reasons, with a standard price, no DLCs included and the same issues we found on console: cumbersome controls, no story mode and a mixed bag in terms of graphics.

Kejora visually draws inspiration from the works of Studio Ghibli and offers a primarily narrative-driven adventure, with few puzzles to solve and some light stealth sections. While the game is aimed at less demanding players, the overall experience feels bland and far too limited in every aspect. Recommended only if you are a fan of Studio Ghibli’s works and are looking for something light and undemanding.

Although similar in content and technical level compared to the previous chapter, F1 2014 is a very different title in terms of gameplay, thanks to the new cars with turbo-electric engine. Solid and rich, it is a good product in waiting of the first Next-Gen Formula One.

Elite Forces is an old school action game with little ambitions, but direct and fun. It has some problems, though: controls are a bit inaccurate, there isn't multiplayer (offline or online) and, above all, it has poor AI.

Aside from the creature editor -which is indeed a nice touch- Spore Hero is a pretty forgettable action game: it's kind of slow paced, the minigames aren't always very good and the combat system is really poor. It's a game for kids, and that's about it.

It's hard to classify Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends. Is it an arcade racer? Definitely not, since most of the challenges are really hard to complete. Is it a simulation? Not even: too few tuning options and no introduction to the events. The game is packed with plenty of cars and tracks, but fails to truly deliver.

Praey for the Gods is a passionate homage to Shadow of the Colossus made by a team of just three persons. The experience is necessarily derivative but the boss fights certainly have their reasons: they are challenging and exciting although sometimes frustrating.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is riddled with contradictions and enveloped in a complex paradox: how can the best Call of Duty in recent years also be one of the worst ever? The answer must be found within the pages of a product that meticulously recycles the vast majority of its contents, while offering the worst campaign in the title's history. However, it perhaps nails the only aspect that a first-person shooter should truly hit: the multiplayer gameplay.
