Dandy and Randy DX is a basic and far too easy action-adventure title. It breaks no new ground and is far too repetitive. Luckily its old-school aesthetic and varied stages break up the monotony. Not a bad indie title, but don't purchase this expecting a masterpiece.

Crown Wars: The Black Prince is a game I should have loved. However, glitches, poor acting, and problems undermine every ounce of potential. When it works, the action is fantastic. However, these moments are fleeting and this will leave you frustrated.

Overall, Rush Rally Origins is a fun little game for those looking for a more arcade style racer to pass the time. With its simple look and gameplay loop, there is enough here for players to get caught up in without being overwhelmed with all the customization options other racing games offer.

What should have been a thoughtful, cosy trek instead feels like wandering in circles, waiting for something interesting to happen. In the end, Out and About isn’t offensively bad. It’s just painfully dull. And in gaming, dull is the hardest sin to forgive.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Ultimate Edition doesn't fulfil its potential. With clunky controls, frustrating gameplay, and a lack of depth, it should have been much better. Sadly, I'm not sure that even the Warhammer fanboys/girls will forgive this mess of a title.

Sludge Life 2 is painfully mediocre. While it has some good concepts, like its themes, its many secrets, and its branching story paths, that isn’t enough to outweigh its large list of negatives. While I did find some fun with this game, overall the head-ache-inducing music, the camera issues, and the lack of direction, really hurt my enjoyment of this title. Furthermore, the crude themes of the game further reduced my enjoyment of this title. Overall, while there is fun to be had in this game, you might be better off looking for something else.

A huge melting pot of different ideas that comes out rather bland. Its nice ideas are undermined by the shallowness of the experience.

Unsurprisingly, I was disappointed with Mages and Treasures. It failed to live up to Milo’s Quest and left me disappointed throughout.

This game is quite a nice idea, but it could require a bit more work. I liked the concept, and love the color graphics and cuteness factor, but the few issues that came up so often are hard to pass and forget about. I think I was half the time frustrated and getting a headache from how much I was going around in circles to select and try to do anything I could in the game. Unless a few things get fixed, this game may not be on my radar anytime soon.

I don’t want this review to seem like a critique on the simulator game genre as a whole. They can be a lot of fun with the right elements and the right people to play with! If you’re an avid fan of simulators, then this game certainly keeps up with the rest of them! If you’re like me though, the entertainment is fleeting and might only last a weekend at best. Even if you do manage to reach a point where everything is automated by workers, with upgraded machines churning out profits and robots flying all over the place, I might still wonder if the time spent was really worth it in the end.

Kong: Survivor Instinct is a puzzle platformer that lacks bite. Unfortunately, the developers never unleashed the reigns and this prevented it from reaching its potential. This was a shame as Kong and the other titans didn't sit in the spotlight for long enough.

As I’m sure you can tell, auto-battlers never really appealed to me beyond the absurd likes of TABS or the ramping insanity of Vampire Survivors. Problem being, all of those games have things you can do in them. In TABS, you can take control of any individual unit and feel as though you’re in this absurd fight you’ve engaged, and in Vampire Survivors, you still have to move and make snap decisions even though all of your attacks are automatic. Unless you really love comparing your run against the runs of others online, or just really love opaque challenges, I can think of no reason why I would ever recommend this over either of those games.

Overall, The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered is a competent remaster of a game that is polished in some respects and severely lacking in others. Outside of its original context on the 3DS, it’s hard to recommend this when there are some many wonderful JRPGs, new and old, that can be enjoyed on modern systems. While there may be some willing to overlook the phoned-in story, I sadly couldn’t. For me, this is one game whose legacy is best left in the past.

Astrune Academy had the potential to be a charming throwback to the JRPGs of yesteryear, but it falters due to uninspired world design, a repetitive soundtrack, and the intrusive integration of mobile game mechanics. The story’s initial promise and the classic gameplay are overshadowed by these issues, leaving players with a sense of what could have been. While it may still hold some appeal for die-hard fans of the genre, Astrune Academy ultimately serves as a reminder that some things are best left in the past.

PopSlinger is an old-school-inspired title that is tough as hell. The brutal mechanics will test your patience and your skills. Additionally, the random nature of each monster spawn will drive you insane. However, the excellent 80s music and the random storyline offer a glint of hope.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! doesn't hit the heights that I expected. The eye for detail isn't there and there is a lack of balance. Furthermore, it can be tiresome when you play against the computer. It was a shame as I hoped for much more.

Garten of Banban 7 is definitely better than Garten of Banban 1, but it’s still a mediocre game with nothing special about it. The story is dark and doesn’t answer many questions while raising new ones. The gameplay hasn’t improved and the controls can still be annoying. The puzzles are much better. The voice acting is very nice and I think it’s the strongest part of the game. The visuals are very bad and not acceptable at all.

Whether it’s discrepancies in visual style, stiff animations, or the surprising shortness of the game, Potions: A Curious Tale struggles to find its place among the growing swathe of popular indie titles. And what makes this particularly difficult to write, is that I truly wanted to love this game. It has so much potential, yet almost none of that is fully realized. It could be incredible with enough time and a little more effort, but right now, it seems that this potion needs a little more time in the cauldron.

Chornobyl Liquidators gives me the vibes that it will be an awesome game one day! If it just hits a few touch ups, the only mistakes it made were being too ambitious in certain areas. I give it a 5/10 I could see this being amazing with a few fixes but as of now it still isn’t tickling my fancy.

While the gameplay might not suit those seeking a more straightforward or less complex experience, the 5000 unique units and endless procedurally generated scenarios make it a standout in its genre. If you’re ready for a surprising and deeply engaging experience, give Universal Conquest a try.

Running Fable is a competitive racing title that sadly lacks originality. Furthermore, it doesn't get the basics right and keeping up with the action is a tiresome task. However, it can be fun in small doses, especially when you take on 9 other players. Disappointingly, though, it doesn't reach its potential and I cannot recommend that you buy it.

To put it simply, ‘CipherCraft: An overly long title about cyber security’ doesn’t live up to its potential as a fun PC Shop/Cybersecurity game. It’s disappointing because it doesn’t give players the engaging experience they were hoping for. Instead of being exciting and interesting, the game feels boring and average. It’s a shame because it could have been so much better if it had more depth and excitement.

Depending on how you play and enjoy games, Skopje ‘83 is very divisive in that regard. Some people may like a game where it doesn’t hold your hand and you’re allowed to explore wherever. There is enjoyment in finding things out on your own, but even that has its limits when you end up repeating the same moments with very little change. This is a hard game to recommend to most people and it feels like one where you would need a guide to help you through it. The gameplay and art style carry this quite well, but the lack of direction is one of the main proponents knocking it down in terms of enjoyability.

Painkiller isn’t bad but it isn’t good either. It is another co-op shooter that has little content in it and doesn’t stand out from the other competition. Boss fights are fine, and the gunplay is decent. Unfortunately, they get old fast and the game just isn’t fun to put hours upon hours into. Honestly, just play Warhammer: Darktide or DOOM. They are more fun and worth your time.
