Tunche is a beat ’em up that goes in a little too strong on its rogue-lite elements, unnecessarily forcing standard features behind a grind of unlockables and making the action overly repetitive. With its formula relying so heavily on upgrades, instead of more enjoyable arcade action, it takes too long for the stunted gameplay to reveal its potential – unless you have someone else to play with.

If you’re into RTS games, I’d definitely consider this but maybe not at the expense of more well-established titans of the genre.

A cluster of outdated mechanics dog a faithful remaster, which serve to somewhat stifle the excellent combat.

Otherwar is a retro hybrid title that took a little getting used to. However, once I came to terms with the slow-pace, interesting mechanics, and weird bugs, I enjoyed the challenge and pixelated visuals.

A rarity in the current industry, Catto’s Post Office lives up to all of its promises. But it doesn’t really go further than that. There’s little replay value or staying power beyond an easy list of achievements and some hidden rubber ducks to discover amongst the map. But maybe you don’t want that, maybe you want a short and sweet parcel of joy after a long day; Catto will deliver it straight to you. After recently ploughing through an enormous open world game, I greatly appreciated the brevity; though I perhaps would’ve liked to get to know these characters better and done a little more for them.

C.A.R.L is a classic platform title that'll lull you into a false sense of security. Enjoy the witty dialogue, interesting characters and unique stage design. If you love the genre, you'll adore this safe but fun platforming game.

Yomawari: Lost in the Dark is a decent horror title that never quite allows itself to excel in any particular area. Japanese horror fans will enjoy the variety of enemies and the scares, but outside of the cleanly drawn visuals and a decent story, it can’t escape the demon of its own design – a short runtime that just feels too long due to its repetitive gameplay and late-revealing secrets.

Time Keeper has a lot of charm that shines through its more dull aspects such as the story and visuals. Its gameplay is engaging, and the reward of completing puzzles stands on the merit of their quality. It was a surprisingly fun time that I can recommend to individuals who might enjoy some cause and effect problem-solving.

GoobnBalloonsDX is an interesting and fun indie title. However, it will not set the world alight and the repetitive action may disappoint. I liked the old-school approach and the relatively easy to follow mechanics.

Pinball FX Volume 8 is a retro pinball experience. This small DLC adds 3 tables to the base game. However, gamers will need to dip their hand in their pocket to get the most from this title. The 3 tables on offer are interesting and challenging. Furthermore, despite the limited content, it is addictive.

Roxy Racoon's Pinball Panic is a fun, casual experience. However, the repetitive action and lack of depth hold it back. If you love the genre, and you want an inexpensive distraction, then this is the game for you. Yet, don't expect too much depth or challenge.

ZOE Begone is a challenging, old-school title. It was often too hard for my liking and this was off putting. However, if this is your thing, you'll enjoy the tough ways and fantastic visuals.

With such potential on show, it was disappointing that Aspire: Ina’s Tale didn’t go far enough. I desperately wanted to see it evolving, but this was never to be. The developers played it safe, and this was at the detriment of the end product. Though it could have been spectacular, it was still great, albeit very familiar.

Dr Oil is an infuriating and tough 2D hardcore platform title. You'll attempt every small level and die repeatedly! It'll make you scream but it's also extremely rewarding when everything clicks.

I was desperate for Submerged: Hidden Depths to jump to the next level. Sadly, though, it rigidly sticks to its guns, and that was frustrating. Yes, it’s relaxing and rewarding when you collect every seed. However, I wanted more.

It was a good game, just not that exciting or long-term entertaining. It’s missing a few things which could put it over the top. I feel it was a bit lacking in weapons, the use of our friend Gin, and even just the difficulty can be a bit much, especially with the final grading at the end. Maybe it’s me, cause I don’t mind games like these. However, it’s just something I wish could have added or changed just a little bit to make it stand out somewhat more and be even better than it is right now.

Tap Wizard 2 is an idle auto-battler that is easy to play. However, it is strangely addictive and I struggled to put it down. I loved the pixelated graphics, upbeat audio, and easy controls. Though this won't be for everyone, it is a great casual indie title.

I quite enjoyed my time with Golfie. The game in its current state did feel a bit short however that is to be expected as more updates continue to keep the game alive. I do hope the developers do not abandon this game as it currently has all the standings of a good casual fun experience going forward. I however cannot rate the game on where I think its going to go I can only judge what is currently available and what is currently available is a nicely put together contained experience with a nice $9 price tag you can definitely get your money’s worth of fun from this title.

It’s frustrating when a bug prevents your progress, but when its the game’s own mechanics, it’s a little harder to forgive, so although Deck of Ashes is a decent card-based RPG battler, its middling benefits smoulder in the wake of its issues, preventing the player from having a consistently fun experience.

Yoshi’s Crafted World is a decent platformer that is fun to go through, despite its minor hiccups. How players can approach this game depends on either desiring to reach the end of it or collecting everything to completion. The game won’t raise the bar, but it will remind you that it is a harmless artsy platformer starring everyone’s favorite rideable green dinosaur.

The Legend of Cyber Cowboy is a twin-stick shooter with some minor roguelite elements. However, the gameplay lacks balance and this causes frustration. The developer needs to balance the weapons otherwise people will rage quit and uninstall it extremely quickly. Despite the issues, I kept at it and enjoyed the fun, albeit challenging action.

I think Tales of Mathasia is a decent math game that is educational, but isn’t as fun as I hoped it’d be. It does a good job of developing something simple and fun for young children, but provides nothing for anyone outside of the demographic. I give it a 6.5/10. Some issues heavily outweigh some of the positives; but at the end of the day it still has enough positives to be fun!

Jackbox Naughty Pack is an adult themed gaming experience. Though the content is a little silly, it will make you laugh with the right group. Moreover, each game is relatively short and this makes a great ice breaker. However, there is limited appeal if you don't have a great group of friends.

With a combination of bugs, a poor attempt at copycat gameplay and an incomprehensible story, this souls-lite experience might not be quite what you might expecting. So, while the bugs that had me constantly on edge might be eventually addressed, it still leaves Shattered at odds with itself, unable to piece together something worth writing home about.

Go! Go! Pogogirl is a 90s-inspired platforming title. As such, it has a vivid colour palette, interesting stage designs, and shrill audio. Furthermore, the control system is faithful to the era, and the action is enjoyable and challenging. Sadly, though, there is no story and this makes it hard to empathise with the protagonist.

With OTT action, interesting characters, hectic missions, and plenty of side quests, this will keep you busy. However, this isn’t a game for serious gamers! Agent Intercept is silly, but moreish while being oddly competitive. Subsequently, I enjoyed it.

Shoulders of Giants is a futuristic rogue-lite that'll test your ability. Can you wipe out every foe and save the day? Complete each mission, gather the HEAT, and collect every artefact you encounter. Sadly, its potential fails to flourish as repetitive gameplay and arduous combat hold it back.

I may feel a bit confused, but when I play it a few times, even if it’s going back to the first few tutorial levels, I begin to understand the game and even upgrade my character to be stronger for the levels that require you to be a bit powerful. In addition to this, I’m going to say that even if I’m not used to the complexity of the game and don’t have the patience at times to learn so much at a time. Nevertheless, I will keep on proceeding and see if I can unravel the parts that I’m failing and being stumped at.
