Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is a high-quality action-RPG that blends metroidvania and souls-like elements with impressive cohesion. Strong exploration, deep combat, and standout presentation give it a clear identity, despite some repetitiveness and a less-than-polished launch. Packed with secrets, side quests, and optional bosses, it's a rewarding experience for fans of the genre - and for anyone seeking a fresh challenge.

CoD: Modern Warfare brings back a very cinematic and thought-provoking campaign to the series coupled with a state-of-the-art engine, but it's in its multiplayer modes where it fails to convince due to balancing problems that end up encouraging campers and the removal of many small improvements the series had during the years. The co-op Specs Ops mode feels under-developed and too basic, too. All in all, the most disappointing episode in the series this gen.

Pac-Man 256 manages to yet again renovate its decades-old gameplay with a new and addicting mechanic good both for short and long sessions, and at a great price. Definitely recommended.

A bad remaster work with too few improvements over the last-gen original game, but a great JRPG nonetheless, with a compelling story and finally all the Japan-exclusive contents that western players couldn't see on Xbox 360.

Capcom finally brings to Xbox one of the best visual novels sagas of the past, with its brilliant dialogues and great characters. Unluckily, thought, it feels like a weak porting effort, especially due to the lack of foreign (Italian, in our case) localization, a very penalizing issue for a text-filled title like this one.

A great Marvel game, with a stellar cast of characters and the solid and proven LEGO gameplay: unmissable by any true believer. Our main complaint is about the complete lack of localized dialogues in the Italian version of the game, something that highly diminishes its appeal towards the younger gamers.

Alan Wake Remastered brings back a true cult with renewed and valid graphics, with the plot that remains the highlight of the game and a gameplay that is still very compelling. Recommended especially for those who have never played the original title.

Thanks to a solid and well-tested gameplay coupled with a brilliant portal/character management, the physical assembly of all the pieces and the presence of great franchises like Doctor Who, Portal and Return to the Future, LEGO Dimensions manages to grab the crown of best toys-to-life game around.

With Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team delivers its most accomplished work yet: a gripping survival horror with a masterful artistic vision, shaped by both past experiences and genre classics. Set in 1980s Kraków under Russian occupation, the game shifts into a nightmarish, oppressive reality. Its demanding mechanics and outstanding art direction make it one of the most intense horror experiences in recent years - unmissable.

A solid and vast game which however feels too similar to the previous one, with a not charming enough main environment, and the story becomes really interesting only in its latter part. Altair and Desmond's storylines manage, however, to keep it interesting to the end, and the final revelations are definitely worth the journey.

WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2010 is a solid and well made game, capable of delivering hours of entertainment to all the fans of this sport. It isn't the best in the series and the splendour of Here Comes the Pain is still far away, however we consider it the best Wrestling game this generation.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is undoubtedly the best golf game around, thanks to a precise control system and the great number of features. We'd have liked better graphics, but it's nevertheless a really good game.

A surprising game that adds to the already solid FC3 gameplay a layer of exhilarating 80s culture parody with great jokes and over-the-top action. It deserves to be followed by a full-fledged, triple-A sequel: Rex Colt has got the potential to be the real, modern heir to Duke Nukem.

The shift mechanic proved to be unexpectedly good providing lots of destructive fun on the streets of San Francisco, even in the dedicated multiplayer modes. Too bad for a forgettable story: the very good CGI cut-scenes deserved a better canvas to be painted on. It's however a solid and entertaining game, a very good starting point for Ubisoft to build upon.

A visually brilliant adventure, graced by a very good direction that managed to tighten the storytelling and to get rid of the more boring walking sections in the walking simulator genre. Unluckily, though, we couldn't fully appreciate the surreal and confusing story, even after a second playthrough.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is a unique, solid and satisfying experience, pushing the player into increasingly complex and rewarding challenges. A good game, but it feels like a step backwards from the first game in the series: it's lost some of the depth and innovation we were used to, delivering us a more classical and straightforward experience. It sports, however, a good story, even if quite short, and insipred visuals: it deservers to be played.

Gaijin Entertainment showed hou a very realistic game can be brought on console without the need of mapping the controls on a whole keyboard. The Sim mode is very challenging and entertaining, but the Arcade and Realistic modes allow everyone to enjoy the game without having to master all the aerodynamics laws. Our main complaint is about the missions variety, that start looking a little bit too repetitive at the middle of the game progression.

King Arthur: Knight's Tale is no game to be taken lightly: it requires dedication, concentration, and a desire to understand and exploit the numerous mechanics it offers us. In return, however, it guarantees us the memorable experience of a mythological Middle Ages in which we can spend a huge number of hours, testing our tactical skills and our temper as kings. A title that should not be missing from the library of fans of the genre.
