For Call of Mini: Zombies 2, the more things change, the more they stay the same. There's some good action here for those who enjoyed the original, but hardly enough changes to signify forward progress.- Modojo

It's an ever rarer day when you finish playing one of these games and feel compelled to rush out and tell everyone you know to download it immediately. Sprinkle Islands, we're delighted to say, is one such title - and if a finer physics puzzler comes along in 2013, we'll all be very lucky indeed.- Modojo

While Pacific Rim hardly has anything original to offer in terms of gameplay, it is more fun than most licensed fare these days. Plus, it's not every day you get to fight with colossal creatures and robots while you're riding to Grandma's house. Give it a look.- Modojo

Despite the game's stumbles, there's an awful lot to like about this mobile Deus Ex. It's an impressive adventure, one that sets a few new standards when it comes to navigating mobile 3D worlds, and squeezing mechanics onto touchscreens. It's an inescapable conclusion, however, that the game's undeniable accomplishments also serve to highlight its rougher edges.- Modojo

In the end, this serving of Diner Dash is decent, but not nearly as good as the others. Sped-up gameplay and Happy Hour are welcome, but neither prevent the game from growing repetitive. The lack of customization and crashes don't help either. That said, the fact that it's free-to-play makes the game worth a look.- Modojo

Though its chat is more vulgar than we expected and its "freemium" set-up not for everyone's taste, War of Nations is definitely a must for strategists - especially if you were a fan of GREE's previous titles.- Modojo

Magic 2014 is just about everything that made Magic 2013 such a special game, and while it's not exactly revolutionary in its gameplay, we probably wouldn't want it any other way.- Modojo

For people who can't get enough of the movie, The Lone Ranger is worth a quick look. Just don't expect to stick around for too long. The repetitive gameplay and lack of excitement don't do this Ranger any favors.- Modojo

By its nature, Groove Racer isn't a hugely sophisticated racing experience, but it is a fun one nevertheless. Some of the tracks can be a little frustrating, particularly those where the trickiest bends are obscured by environmental objects, but you'd be a bit daft not to dip into this throwaway but fun micro-racer.- Modojo

There's lots to like about the game though, not least because this is a paid-for tower-sim that's entirely free of in-app purchases. If games like Tiny Tower tickle your fancy, yet you find the unavoidable pay-to-advance elements distasteful, you'd be silly not to at least consider calling in on Smooth Operators.- Modojo

Taking everything into consideration, G.I. Joe will certainly be of at least some interest to fans of the action franchise, not to mention those who enjoy the hands-off, "deck"-management combat gameplay of this sort of title. But even taking those assumptions into account, G.I. Joe is sorely lacking in established production values and innovation, and so is very hard to recommend to a general audience.- Modojo

On that note, Muramasa Rebirth comes highly recommended, as it provides a visually striking journey through demon-infested Japan. With two characters to play and a wealth of swords to unlock, you'll find plenty to love about this addictive game.- Modojo

Is this touchscreen Limbo a perfect port of the original masterpiece? Not quite, and there are certainly moments where you'll cry out for the precision that only a physical controller can provide. Still, these moments are rare enough to ensure that this mobile version remains nothing less than outstanding overall.- Modojo

Fortunately, there's enough variety and imagination in the level design, not to mention humor in the game's storytelling, to help Icebreaker just about rise above these concerns. You can expect a stiffer challenge here than you'll get from the average physics puzzler, but that's not necessarily a bad thing in 2013.- Modojo

Wrap it up with a bizarre story and a cool 80s vibe, and Hotline Miami is one of PlayStation Vita's guiltiest pleasures, a blood-soaked, retro-inspired homage to the most difficult video games ever conceived. So long as you're of age, it comes highly recommended.- Modojo

With the tools Codemasters has at its disposal here, the developer's delivered a mobile rally experience that's about as good as it gets - albeit one where a lack of true multiplayer seems like a bit of a missed opportunity. Even if the framerate wobbles a little, even on the latest Apple hardware, it still delivers a fun enough rally experience.- Modojo

To be fair, Monsters University: Catch Archie is more of a demo than full game. Considering Disney's impressive track record with iOS and Android, though, it falls a bit short.- Modojo

Still, there's no getting away from the fact that Where's My Mickey? represents everything that players of the previous games have come to expect - bags of levels, lots of challenge, and enough replay value to ensure that you won't even smart at the cost of the additional level packs. That will be enough for most.- Modojo

Ultimately, this mobile edition of XCOM: Enemy Unknown is an almost flawless port of one of last year's finest games. If it's a truism that you get what you pay for in life, then the depth, satisfying gameplay, replay value, and challenge on offer here more than adequately answer any questions about that price.- Modojo

That said, the game's presentation falls behind its counterparts, with music and imagery that seems a bit less magical than King's previous releases. This is ultimately a small knock on an otherwise addictive puzzler, one that'll keep players busy until their lives inevitably run dry.- Modojo

Even if you think the endless runner genre has nothing left to offer you, we still recommend giving Despicable Me: Minion Rush a go. It's packed full of variety and imagination, and not even the occasional frame-rate hiccup can take too much shine off this very worthy movie mobile game.- Modojo

All in all, Crush! is an outstanding example of a game that's easy to learn and very hard to master. Delivered with the trademark, crisply polished presentation of every other Radiangames title, what you're left with is an essential purchase for any mobile puzzle game.- Modojo

All of this very compelling gameplay is wrapped up in some of the smartest looking - and sounding - environments we've enjoyed on our mobiles, and the story is a hoot. Throw in the trademark Gilbert humor, and you've got a mix that will prove irresistible for any fan of match-three gaming.- Modojo

There are more upgrades, a greater diversity in environments, and more enemy types than ever before. Fans have likely already grabbed the game at launch - for everyone else, know that this new Kingdom Rush ensures the series remains at the top of this bloated genre.- Modojo

It's enough to satisfy both longtime fans and newcomers to Nintendo's charming franchise. New Leaf doesn't necessarily play like other games, but that's why we appreciate it. Whereas other titles assault the senses with over-the-top action sequences, this one provides a welcome escape. Cherish it.- Modojo

Dumb Ways to Die was clearly designed with casual players in mind, as it only takes a minute or so to croak (maybe less), depending how good you are. It's addictive, no question, but there's a considerable lack of games.- Modojo

World War Z crashed on us once and there appears to be an issue among some Android players, but by and large, it's an impressively-made shooter and collect-a-thon that manages to avoid the dreaded movie game curse. You'll have to pay $4.99 to download it, and we feel it's worth the money, especially if you're in need of a zombie fix.- Modojo
