Stupendous mobile game graphics, a powerful collection of weapons and equipment, mowing down zombies and seeing their heads splatter, affordably-priced in-app cash and gold, surprisingly responsive first-person controls.- Modojo

Apocalypse Max doesn't break new ground in the 2D platform/shooting genre, but its high-level of polish puts it right up there with the best iOS has to offer. You can't call yourself a zombie fan without downloading this entertaining game.- Modojo

It's unashamedly targeted at the hardened puzzle gamer who fancies themselves a cut above the rest, and who tires of trudging through hand-holding levels in order to get at the meat of a game. If you're up for that challenge, one of your favorite games of 2012 awaits you.- Modojo

Put very simply, Inferno+ is everything we want from a twin-stick shooter: gorgeous visuals, a thumping soundtrack, varied gameplay and an intriguing twist on the genre. Even by Radiangames' high standards, this is a fantastic game.- Modojo

Whether or not this is the best mobile RTS on the App Store is up for debate, but one thing's certain, it's quite excellent all the same.- Modojo

We fell in love with Soldier vs. Aliens, and think it's one of the best free iOS titles on the App Store. Grab that Railgun, strap on some armor and get ready to fight. Aliens, prepare to eat lead.- Modojo

All of this very compelling gameplay is wrapped up in some of the smartest looking - and sounding - environments we've enjoyed on our mobiles, and the story is a hoot. Throw in the trademark Gilbert humor, and you've got a mix that will prove irresistible for any fan of match-three gaming.- Modojo

Pixld's a puzzle game that ticks all of our boxes and we think it will tick yours too. It's a tightly designed, breathtaking simple but addictive design concept, and it will challenge and entertain even the keenest of puzzle addicts for a long time to come.- Modojo

Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition is one of the best RPGs you'll be able to find on iOS (or elsewhere for that matter) and for $10 you're delivered a ridiculous amount of content in a gorgeous package. If you've never tried it out, now is the best time to give it a whirl.- Modojo

Despite some ridiculous car prices, loading issues and teeth-gnashing A.I. difficulty, it's a fun ride from beginning to end. Don't hesitate to catch some air with this one.- Modojo

It's a triumph for those who favor experiential gaming over the challenge of eking out ever-smaller, incremental degrees of satisfaction from more skill-based titles.- Modojo

WWE SuperCard is a fun and addicting game that is easy to pick up and play. It's so addictive that you can't play just one match, and you will want to keep playing until you find your favorite superstar(s). Hopefully, 2K Games releases a versus mode in a future update.- Modojo

While certain elements of Kingdom Conquest 2 may be stronger than others, combined they result in one of the most intriguing strategy games to be released on the App Store. It's packed full of content, offers plenty of variety in its gameplay, and the real story of the game - the impact of player interactions - is something we'll only discover in time.- Modojo

The game doesn't quite represent perfection as we found the difficulty level a little spiky, and the shuriken elements sit awkwardly with the gentler strategy found elsewhere. Nevertheless, Hundreds is a must-have title for anyone who craves something fresh from the App Store, and represents a fine start for puzzle gaming in 2013.- Modojo

You may already have more than enough mobile racers to keep you busy, but make sure you add GT Racing 2 to your library before settling on a favorite. It's fast, it's free-to-play - with a pretty fair cash system too - and it looks amazing. Go pedal to the metal on this one.- Modojo

Even if it isn't entirely original - and could really benefit from dropping the freemium elements - Castle Doombad is a terrific way to kick off 2014's mobile gaming season. Tower defense fans won't want to miss it, and casual fans will find a lot to like as well.- Modojo

This is yet another outstanding addition to the 3DS eShop, and the old school presentation and enjoyable gameplay more than justifies the $8.99 asking price. One of the best games we've had the privilege of playing on Nintendo's handheld.- Modojo

It's been a long and frustrating journey for Vlambeer to bring Ridiculous Fishing to the market, but for gamers it's certainly been well worth the wait. Let's hope the reward for the developers is success on the App Store, and that this particular fisherman's tale has a very happy ending.- Modojo

Bad Hotel is, in short, the stuff of wonderful nightmares: an eerie soundtrack, a menacing palette and an all-pervading sense of inescapable doom. Yet it's also one of the most original and atmospheric tower-defense games we've played all year.- Modojo
