Cyberpunk 2077 has set the bar very high and yet we believe it will be a memorable experience for many of the players waiting for it. However, it may have come close to meeting even the highest of expectations. In any case, we are facing a formidable game that has had us playing even when we had already finished it in order to look for the many endings, to keep leveling or even to simply get to know the characters better.

Inscryption is a game that seeks to advance the medium, challenge the player and make him participate in something huge. This would be enough to consider it a great title, but on top of that it is brilliantly designed and the characters and story will not be easily forgotten

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a very good game. The combat, its customization and progression options, as well as the situations it puts you in to fight, shine brightly. The music and artwork are also up to par with what is expected in a sequel. What is not convincing is the exploration and puzzles that are overly hackneyed.

Of course the weight of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim does not fall on combat, it is much more focused on having an interesting narrative and very careful gameplay around it. This may be because at first it was a title designed for PS Vita. Its proposal is perfect for a portable console, but for at a desktop console it falls a bit short. However, we cannot deny that its story has played with our minds and has engulfed us to the point of wanting to end it as it may. Especially towards the end of the game, when fronts are already beginning to close and the messes are more directed, leaving us with the most emotional scenes.

Tunic is a pharaonic and well-dressed work that caught our attention because of its resemblance to the Nintendo hero and a beautiful artwork. However, it is much more than a low poly copy of a historical fan of the classic video game epic. It is a well-crafted set with one of the best maps we have had the pleasure of exploring whose mysteries more than pay for some of the desperate moments caused by the combat.

The feelings with Monster Train: First Class are great. It's a deep title, with tons of content and it plays great on Nintendo Switch. Perhaps it can be too demanding for those who are not fans of the roguelite card genre, but the reward if you invest hours in the title is a lot of fun.

Football Manager 22 is a spectacular title for soccer lovers and for fans of the saga. The new features fit perfectly, but it still has everything that has made it a world reference in terms of sports management videogames.

The general feeling with Death Door is being in front of a good game, which ends up getting lost a little when trying to do a little more than what the design intuits during the first hours. That does not detract from the fact that it is a tremendously enjoyable title and very careful in multiple aspects. A solid game that also has a perfect duration for what it proposes.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe offers what it promised but doesn't want to go beyond that. It's a great game, but it leaves the feeling of lost opportunity there for not adding an extra layer of improvements beyond its new multiplayer features.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land may be a slight step down from similar Nintendo Switch games like Super Mario Odyssey itself, but it's one of those offerings that will light up your eyes with how much fun it is. It's less open-ended and more straightforward than modern platformers, but that traditional feel, along with the versatility brought by the charismatic character's transmorphic power, fit the package perfectly.

Hitman's formula dances his last tango in which he puts the finishing touch to the trilogy: and leaving aside the episodic format suits him great. Direct, effective and with multiple possibilities to think like real killers.

Shin Megami Tensei is one of the best RPGs of recent years. His fights exude that traditional aroma, but they have elements that make him unique. And its history, although confusing in its beginnings, when it clicks it no longer lets go. It has all the components to do wonders for fans of the genre.

F1 2021 arrives with the clear premise of being continuist and at the same time introducing improvements among what has worked well during these past deliveries. The inclusion of its story mode under the name of Braking Point gives a real breath of fresh air to a trite season mode that, while entertaining, needed this twist.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a very good game even though it is far from perfect. It is possible that a little more development time would have favored it. It has its defects, especially technical issues, but, as if it were a Hollywood blockbuster, the whole is fun, and it is what really matters.

An outstanding fighting game that manage to simplify its entry barriers without making it easier for experts. You may miss some more characters, but beyond that this is an extraordinary game. Arc System Works has done it once again.

Resident Evil Village is superior to Resident Evil 7 in practically every aspect and this game makes Ethan Winters become one of the most important characters in the saga. Its classic horror atmosphere, its agility in the game and in the inventory and its simple puzzles make it a seamless experience that will delight all those who are fans of Resident Evil. It is the entry of this series that is the most distant from the other titles and for us it is an essential of this 2021.

Splatoon 3 may not have been making as much noise as other titles expected this year for Switch as the new generation Pokémon or Bayonetta 3, but it is certainly a safe value.

A game that manages to retain the magic that made Crash Bandicoot big long ago. Crash Bandicoot 4 brings the past to the present in the best possible way, without being changed along the way. It may not be the GOTY, but it's that kind of game that make you invest more time into it. That's the greatness of Crash. He alone is able to make a good day from a bad day and that counts.

Every console generation has to begin and end with an outstanding racing game, and this is the one for Xbox One/PS4 and PS5/Xbox Series. DIRT 5 is a fast & furious game with a fun twist on its style and gameplay. May not be as deep as the DIRT Rally Series, but proves to be much more varied than them while playing alone or even playing with you friends locally with a 4 players split screen mode or online.

Stray is an adventure that will dazzle you if you love kittens. Its best virtue is the exploration, which truly makes us feel like real felines. The most action-focused parts are the least inspired. Even so, it's a meowly good game to spend a couple of afternoons playing.

If you're looking for an old-fashioned tactical RPG, Triangle Strategy will quench your thirst and lead you to a plot that will keep you hooked like the best works of medieval literature. Its combat will also dazzle you, although it may take a little longer, until you get the hang of the many options offered by each simple movement in this battle of pixels with which Team Asano wanted to prove that this is their thing. And tactical on top of that.

Arceus is one of the big games of the year. Perhaps not the best or the most polished, but one of the most fun and relevant to the industry, which is no small thing. The philosophical and mechanical change that it can trigger in the saga is one of its letters of introduction, despite the more than improvable technical section.

There's less "A Plague Tale" than there should be. I trade you every day of the year the premise of 4K and 60 FPS for more adventures like this. It's reprehensible that the game doesn't perform better, and I won't be the one to argue with anyone who refuses to "jump through the hoops", but most titles come with half the thrills, half the character development, and half as much other stuff without us raising our voices about it.

Cult of the Lamb is a game with which you will have a great time, well designed and with a polished gameplay. But perhaps it could have gone further with a couple of tweaks and moving away from a somewhat formulaic development: four zones and a final boss. For better or worse, what you see is what you get.

Three big games that today are as fun as they were a couple of years ago. A travel through memory lane that will remind you about the magic that only Nintendo has while making a long-lasting masterpieces on this medium. We could ask for more extra content, but the fact is that these 3 games are fun as hell today.

Gears 5: Hivebusters is everything we ask of a Gears of War: lots of action, frenzy, a simple story, and a level design perfect for gunfights. It has an adjusted duration, yes, but it is enjoyable until the end.

Fun but shallow game that may improve over the next few months with more new content, but that at its release time isn't enough to keep you playing for long enough.
