It's a bit sad they were not able to improve or expand the original idea. At least, this team what they call the "supershot", a special shot that is almost unstoppable. You can use it whenever you fill it playing in your own style and we find this system really interesting, as it allows to have different type of players and more variety regarding CPU players.

Ganryu 2 is the sequel nobody could expect in 2022, but it certainly manages to entertain for a while. Even though it's not the best neo-retro out there, it has a very particular charm, plays smooth and looks like a modern Super Nintendo title. Enough to give it a try.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is far from being the Definitive Dragon Ball game, but right now it's the title that we need to recover some faith on the future of the franchise. It has some flaws but, sure, but the combat system is solid, the graphics look gorgeous even on PS4/Xbox One and the game has a lot of content to unlock. Finally, a Dragon Ball game that we can recommend to the fans.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX has far exceeded our expectations. The series is coming back, but reimagining itself to adopt some mechanics and quality of life details than improve significantly the experience overall. Despite its flaws, a mediocre IA and some limitations, such as no coop online, sounds like a lost opportunity that we hope we will see in a future brand new entry. In the meantime, this is probably the best entry since Explorers; and that is very good news.

Using Vita's new graphic engine, Invizimals: The Alliance delivers the same gaming experience as its predecessor with a few new additions that doesn't change the overall vibe of the franchise. Youngsters will just love it.

Hitman: HD Trilogy is a good part of Stealth history in videogames. Blood Money is still great six years later, and Silent Assassin and Contracts have interesting gameplay elements. But, Where is Hitman: Agent 47?

Shadowhand is an enjoyable strategic card game with RPG elements. The core of the game is not other but the traditional solitaire. Al tough the additions are interesting, lucky factor is too important and ruins, in some way, the general experience.

A walking simulation song of cosmic horror at first, Maid of Sker has a story that loves to mix EA Poe and HP Lovecraft styles, a place with its own persona, and a great first part where the darkness and sounds effects keeps you in tension. It is a shame that the stealth mechanic and checkpoint system ruins the potential of a game where the bad guys don’t look scary at all.

Liberation Maiden is a classic shoot'em up with intense gameplay, but it's too short and has repetitive mechanics.

Trailblazers is a very original proposal with a fairly classic appearance. The use of paint gives the game a very fun strategic component, especially for multiplayer games.

Sony builds a bridge for people who do not play regularly to cross. Erica refines everything that's been done so far in interactive cinema and triggers its possibilities for the near future. The story of Erica is not at all exceptional, but the way we interact with it is several positions above everything we had seen so far.

WWE 2k17 has a solid combat system, great roster and new features in WWE Universe and MyCareer. However, the absence of Showcase mode and some graphics issues are incomprehensible.

Are you playing one of those bland interactive storytelling games again?, one character asks another at one point. New Tales from the Borderlands is like that. Funny, capable of laughing at himself and very clear in his proposal. But also bland. Characters, plot and situations have lost magic, the quick time events are terrible (worse than usual), and their decisions don't bother to hide one of the most linear adventures in the genre.

Spacebase Startopia knows how to create a good atmosphere. It's a good empire building, but It has dangerous efficiency problems and the battle system is useless and very chaotic.

It looks like Hotline Miami, but it's not. Same look, different gameplay. Like mixing the game of Devolver with Max Payne and The Binding of Isaac. It has curious ideas, but it becomes repetitive very quickly and can be improved.

Empires Apart moves in the classic schemes of the RTS, but the novelties it presents are scarce 25 years after Dune II established the keys of the genre, to which it remains excessively faithful. It looses in the individual mode, weighed down by a deficient AI and the absence of campaign and it is shown to be funny and innovative in the multiplayer, to which clearly it is oriented.

Lost Sphear is an homage the old-school JRPG genre, while adding strategy mechanics into its easy-to-master gameplay and holds a good rhythm in its narrative. Its world-building is captivating, yet its characters lack originality in design and charisma.

Blackguards is an entertaining game and traditional role players will love many of its mechanics. The game could have been used to restore part of the essence of the great RPGs that were released during the early years of the last decade, but would require a story influenced by the decisions of the player and a good artificial intelligence. It would have been an excellent tool for Game Masters who want to display combats for his roleplaying group. As a videogame some things are left on the shelf.

When we are on the court, we have nothing but good words for NBA 2K24, with a solid gameplay, improved thanks to ProPLAY, and amazing visuals. The problems come when we go out of it, finding the always present microtransactions and other decisions difficult to understand.

Volition takes what had worked on Saint's Row and adds some of the best things that have popularized games like Overwatch. For example, twelve characters that represent the variety the secondary missions don't have, and a story mode that isn't the most important in a game that just wants to entertain you.. and it absolutely does.

Silent Hill: Downpour is a good game, with many great ideas and a nice story. It's a nice comeback to the series, despite its technical issues and the bugged combat. A nice survival horror that goes back to the roots of the genre.
