Ubisoft Shanghai lets us become a full-fledged commander. Thanks to our headset, in EndWar we can give orders to our troops just with our voice. A great gameplay that, unfortunately, is not great technically and it's very online-driven. Good ideas, but not very well used.

A post-apocalyptic fight for survival in the shape of FPS, with an incredibly immersive atmosphere that shines in its audiovisual presentation. The nearly 12 hours of tense journey is totally worthy of play. However, despite its visual highlights, the game fails in trying to escape its linear structure and scripted events. Ultimately it does not offer enough incentives to be replayed.

The Sexy Brutale is a nice piece of art. Its artistic values are great, with amazing visuals and sound, and the story is amazing and charming. It's an interesting evolution of traditional point'n'click adventures.

EVOLVE is a great first blood in what seems like a long-term hunt for 2K and Turtle Rock. Great ideas, good execution, fun online moments and tactical team work to face the monster shine, but they are dinged by some progression decisions, AI flaws when played solo, the need or some balance adjustments, and especially a lack of more content in the release. But this won't ruin what it is definitely happy hunting after all.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has aged wonderfully. Ten years have not been enough for this work to begin to show some seams, because both in the playable side and in the design structure of its challenges it is still intact. The remastering work is minimal, only technical, and we miss a greater effort to improve some textures, the fluidity of the images or the models, which do not stand out excessively. Luckily, on the playable level it is still excellent in almost all its sections, the Autolog is a sensational idea and there are always reasons to return: wasted content. Hot Pursuit is back in 2020 to remind us just how good it is.

Great version of the original game, a great example of porting from PS3 to Vita. Looks great, plays well and it's great entertainment for anybody looking for fast and simple tennis games.

The Strider franchise rises in the XXI century, thanks to a game that will undoubtedly be one of the downloadables of 2014. Game development is inspired by the best Metroid and Castlevania bidimensional games, resulting in an essential one.

Day of Infamy is not for any kind of user, but it's realistic, complex and great co-op experience.

Fun, large and with many things to do, Risen is a good game for medieval RPG lovers. It has its flaws, specially due to technical issues, but overall it's a great experience, where every choice has its consequences. The great storyline and the different paths that we can follow are the strongest points of this game.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is better than the previous installment but it doesn't revolutionize his concept. More cars, more tracks and more game modes for a frenetic arcade racing game that feels somewhat conservative at the controls.

Petroglyph has sought to make a simple, direct game... and maybe they have exceeded that. Being a good game does not add anything to make it a serious alternative to the big ones.

F1 2013 keeps the pace of last year. The Classic Edition is much better, because the standard edition is highly trimmed. Good job for Codemasters, but a season low risk, transition to next year and next-gen.

Like Fez and others of same type, La-Mulana is something more than an exercise of retro-pixel-love. It's a beast of the exploration and puzzles, taking the concept of Metroidvania to a challenging level of difficulty. Not just your typical Indiana Jones 2D clone, but one game that really make us feeling like explorers resolving cryptic clues in a gigantic meta-puzzle scenario. And with a soundtrack totally MIDI that could be signed by Chris Huelsbeck himself.

Assetto Corsa Competizione pulls the limits of realism with a nice use of the Blancpain GT Series, but Kunos needs to improve the overall feeling of a videogame. The lack of matchmaking and a poor multiplayer system reduce his life in a long-middle term.

A pure, authentic Survival Horror, which is something to celebrate nowadays. It has some flaws and some uses of the Wii U Gamepad doesn't work well, but the core ideas are solid, there are tons of interesting details and great touches that create a really solid experience.

The Sims Medieval is an interesting hybrid that does a good job mixing classic mechanics from the series with a more structured, objective based game. It may feel a bit limited at the beginning, and diehard Sims fans will miss some fundamental features, but this newfound sense of purpose for a Sims game suits it nicely and opens lost of possibilities for the future.

Charmin sequel that offers nothing really new -except for the 2D levels-, in which players will take the rol of Blob, jumping and painting a number of scenarios. Quite fun, but nonetheless very much the same that we saw back in 2008. It's a very interesing buy-option for those who didn't try it back then, specially on 360 and PS3.
