Super Mario 3D World is one of the best Mario games. It's a perfect mix between New Super Mario Bros co-op, 3D Land platforming experience and some of the best skills of other franchise games. This game has one of the most varied and brilliant level design that we remember in any EAD Tokyo development.

An outstanding graphical improvement and some gameplay tweaks make for a great rebirth of one of the all-time classics. Forget its PS2 origins: Shadow of the Colossus was and still is a true celebration of epic adventures and gaming itself as a medium.

Spelunky 2 does an unbelievable job at enhancing the original one's virtues, which were not few. It's the most hardcore game of the decade, but also one of the most rewarding ones.

It's one of the most acclaimed classic games in history and continues working as well as before. Ocarina of Time 3DS shows its mechanics never grow old and its magic doesn't succumb over time. 3D, redesign and extra content for which is, indisputably, the best game of the portable console.

Fallout 3 is one of this year's best games. It's an unforgettable journey that lives up to the series. Welcome to this post-apocaliptic reality, where you are going to spend hundreds of hours.

A great pack of four games full of content: over hundred multiplayer maps, great variety of modes, four epic and intense co-op campaigns and smoother visuals for the remake of Halo 2. It's a must have for any Xbox One owner.

A masterpiece in audiovisual design, a fantastic action game and another testimony to the craft, the imagination and the ambition of Irrational. However, the campaign is a bit shorter than what was expected and it´s obvious the studio has not reached the full range of their objectives.

The War on Terror never rests. The same goes for Infinity Ward, who raises the bar again with Modern Warfare 2. Its new campaign keeps delivering a cinematic, inmersive, and visually spectacular experience, while polishing AI and respawn issues, and offering a minimum of 8 hours of gameplay. Without a multiplayer rival, where it's as powerful as a Tactical Nuke, including a first approach to coop, and archiving excellence in every aspect, this last Call of Duty proves itself as a very solid candidate to become the game of the year.

Uncharted 2 has no rival on the PS3. There's no other game, despite Killzone 2 on the visuals, with the same level of quality as Naughty Dog's newest game. The rhythm of the game is fast-paced and action-packed, and includes some fun, well-thought-out dialogue. The game is almost perfect in every stage, and it has online coop and deathmatch; there's no doubt that it's one of the top three games for the PS3, and one of the five best games of this year.

Red Dead Redemption offers a script that Sergio Leone would have loved to film, and the epic of Sam Peckinhpah. A great sandbox, with a compelling story, that may not be a masterpiece, but it delivers. Have no doubts: ride your horse, play as John Marston and let yourself be swept away.

Battlefield 3 offers one of the best multiplayer modes out there. The Frostbite 2 engine is capable of amazing things in order to show the most realistic war we've seen to date. Its only flaws are an extremely short campaign and a co-op mode that could have been much better.

A brutal and challenging game that admits few shortcuts to success. But for every cry of frustration there is a revealing discovery, and for each walk through the darkness there is an ascent towards mountains bathed by the Sun. The father of Dark Souls and Bloodborne makes us suffer again but, at the same time, provides the kind of experience that allows us to emerge reinforced at the other side.

Bioware has managed to update and evolve the formula that made Baldur's Gate 2 a classic, creating an engaging, rich, and solidly fantastic universe that feels consistently coherent and credible. Dragon Age is a triumph that shows, among other things, how the core values of the traditional roleplaying genre are still valid, managing to include a complete and versatile combat system that welcomes new players and will challenge veterans, with difficult encounters where tactics are the key to victory. Overall, it's a really special RPG, which truly deserves to be called "epic".

While is unfortunate that PS3 only users won't experiment the first entry of the series, this version of the sequel offers a good chance to get into the series. Furthermore, the package is great and full of content, which adds a good value to it.

Mario Tennis Aces is the best entry in the series since the GBA title. Its gameplay mechanics are almost perfect as the game feels so smooth in each one of the game surfaces; furthermore, the adventure mode is like a perfect tutorial to canalize the special moves. Beautiful and fun, its only fault is the lack of single player content.
