Shadow warrior 3 is an excellent first person shooter with an awesome combat system full of possibilities and cool mechanics, with gorgeous and colorful graphics that looks outstanding. The poor and simple level design, short length and lack of content avoid it from reaching the top tiers of the genre.

The Amazing Spiderman isn't truly 'amazing' but it is a very nice game: well done in almost every aspect but it's not particularly challenging. Very fun to play and enjoyable, but after all, it should be called "The Average Spiderman".

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the biggest leap the franchise has made since its arrival to 3D, but there is a real need for the series, an urgency even, to tackle the technical performance.

There aren't significant changes over the 2005 game, but it is a 3D show that will do - we love the little cats and dogs. Street Pass, 3D cameras, steps presents... Full Nintendo 3DS with which to play with these lovely animals.

A funny game, but more puzzle than tactical and too short and simple for its own good.

Dead Island is a great game. It has many flaws in its visuals, and the first-person gameplay is hard to understand at first. But Dead Island delivers a big open world RPG game, with 4 player coop and many things to do on the island. Horror movie lovers and RPG lovers should give it a try.

Catnip has done a fantastic job taking the original Boulder Dash into a new freshly-made title that looks superb on XBLA. Perfect fit for those looking for a great challenge.

Far Cry: New Dawn is a standalone sequel to Far Cry 5. The game is not as large as the original, and the formula needs some innovation, but the RPG mechanics combined with gunplay and nice characters make it a really good experience to be played.

Even with all its technical problems, Days Gone offers an essential story for fans of the genre. Long and full of content, with a great graphics element and eye-catching novelties such as the motorcycle and the horde.

An intriguing strategy game. Learn the patterns, plan your escape and execute it. Nice difficulty curve and a good variety of options make a really clever game.

Just Dance 2025 brings one sweet new playlist and Camera Controller as a major update. However, it doesn't bring any significant upgrades.

Despite its looks, quite similar to the Smackdown franchise, Legends is a very different game. It has all the charm of a huge bunch of timeless stars of the WWE, and it offers a more dynamic and faster gameplay. Unfortunately, it's rather short: its game modes are just a few hours of fun, before relying just in the Exhibition modes.

A love letter to the Pixel generation, an ode to an Era that'll never come back, this Retro City Rampage blasts through the screen with an irresistible combination of pure Old School visuals and intense gameplay a là GTA, on top of the wildest -the DeLorean from Back to the Future turned into a pure roadkill machine??- and craziest icons from the TV, Cinema and Videogames of the last 30 years. A must have for those children of the Eighties.

Akira Toriyama's manga receives its first video game, preserving its original story and adding very interesting new features. It has illogical design flaws but overall it is not a bad game.

A good take on the hunter genre, with great action, good graphics and excellent music. Sometimes it´s a bit repetitive and tedious with the grind, but overall it´s a worthy experience.

Elven Legacy is the classic turn-based strategy game, flavored with a touch of good role-playing. Released as a continuation of Fantasy Wars, you don't need the original game in order to play it. This game combines two styles of play that have proved to work perfectly, and put them in a well built fantasy world. Although it could hardly compete against the masters of the genre like Total War or Civilization series, it won't be weird if we were to meet future releases of this new series. Elven Legacy assures us several hours of fun featuring elves and many other creatures or monsters, rich colored graphics and a nice background story.

Death end re;Quest offers an interesting story and characters that developers through its many chapters until the very end of it and keeping interest on both. Also its combat system with plenty of habilities and the Battle Jack makes it pretty addictive to keep fighting enemies to level up. The main flaw the game has resides on the dungeons which are boring and pretty repetitive.

Phantasy Star Zero is a good MMORPG for the Nintendo DS. There are some flaws like the camera or the slower combat system, but the game knows its limits, and it fares rather well on the handheld.

Ultra Street Fighter IV has strengths in its content: full of characters, stages, DLC skins and great online modes. But fails on port treatment. Too many issues in a not enough polished work.

Fantastic work to bring us back to the M&M IV & V era. It is not as good as the best works of New World Computing, but it´s very good on its own merits and a joy for anyone looking back to those years.

Fairy Tail it's a game that has its forte in a simple but effective combat system alongside the ambience from the series and a déjà vu from other titles from Gust.

Guitar Hero gets a new member to his family. Smash Hits features old songs with new gameplay. Taking the classics to a full band experience, this game packs an interesting tracklist with the ability to play with your friends the original versions of songs like Free Bird or Slayer's Raining Blood. Despite its fun gameplay, the repetitive ideas and the lack of new content became a problem for those who seek new intentions on the franchise.

Battlefield Hardline mixes new ideas with elements of the EA DICE's series. Visceral Games and DICE have done a good job. However it's below the high expectations. The singleplayer story is interesting and it has a strong stealth component. The multiplayer adds heists and powerful modes, but not all of them at the same level.

If you have PlayStation VR, Farpoint is a must-have game for you. One of the best VR experiences yet. Also, the Aim Controller its pretty damn great.

Team GrisGris delivers a chilling experience that is not to be found on any other handheld, though its graphical appearance is outdated. Corpse Party is one of those games that you should own if you're looking for a different experience than former 'horror-stories' that we've tried so far on PSP.

Melbits World is a cute, fun arcade suitable for parents playing with their children. It offers a pleasant experience that could be improved with more precise controls.

Team Muramasa shows its expertise of the Dungeon RPG genre with this title that offers solid gameplay, as well as beautiful character illustrations, but it falls short on the technical side.

This new entry in the series improves in many ways from its predecessors, especially in terms of graphics and gameplay but also by offering an interesting plot and characters besides multiplayer content. However, it lacks additional content beyond the main story it's on the short side.

Leaving the Musou style for an Action-RPG style mixed with Hack 'n Slash, Luffy and the whole gang return in a game with a varied gameplay and different mechanics where the sum of its all parts bring a nice experience, but far from the bests of their respective genres. With great elements like the Coliseum Mode, Unlimited World R is about all for the fans, the ones and only that will appreciate all the reference of the story, characters, relations and places in its whole extension.

A nice action RPG with light management touches and good combat that serves as a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. Perhaps its backtracking is excessive but it is quite fun.

The combination of arcade and simulator games feels great on this title making everything just work in the way that it should.

One of the best VR games we played this year. A tribute to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Charlie Kaufman's work. It uses everything in its hands to tell us a story (graphics, sound!!, art department, colours, real actors, dialogue, plenty of secrets in the level), and it does it wonderfully, without making us feel stupid. Oh, and its scary as hell (aka PT).

Several years have passed since the last Silent Hill game for home consoles, but the franchise is still scary as hell. The new gameplay is great, and it is faithful to the spirit of the series, but it's extremely simple and not as deep as previous entries. Also, it's not a great game on the technical side. Good game, but it could have been better.

Guardians of Middle-Earth is a good attempt to bring MOBA game mechanics to the console. It has tactical depth, it's balanced and is a great cooperative experience.

A mixture of genres that lacks personality, with a very light script, not very original and with limited cooperation between characters. It offers a great move set and weapons, and it's a fun experience, but not a deep experience.

HyperParasite is a frenetic and colorful twin-stick shooter within the roguelike genre, and the shape-shifting mechanic it's a satisfying twist. However, it's a better shooter than it is a roguelike, with repetitive level design and a slow and punishing progression system.

Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest is a remake of a cult classic from the 90s, with all-new graphics and control tweaks. This is an isometric adventure that sadly feels a bit rough in terms of gameplay, giving the impression of being too stuck in the past and relying on nostalgia. Fans of the 94 original will like it, but it will have a harder time connecting with today’s audiences.

Warlock: Master of the Arcane is a highly addictive and entertaining game, although it would not meet the need of a nicely-updated Master of Magic. The game perfectly fulfills the expectations raised and offers good content at an affordable price. And this is quite important these days. If it keeps growing in the right way (through some DLCs) it would become an unforgettable game, but needs to improve its AI and add more options.

It's still one of the best entries in the series, but it's illogical that they released the exact same PS2 games, instead of the more recent HD version for PS3. Great story and characters, but gameplay and graphics are not up to the task.

Awesome when it’s about visual interface and immersion, but it has several design mistakes that slow down game’s rate. Luckily, losing oneself floating through the space it’s worth it while we unlock extras. It’s also a video game with many doses of humor and easy to keep players hooked to the main plot.

The Medium is Bloober's most ambitious game, with good history and puzzles, although also with some poor mechanics.

Accomplished software with an interesting proposal, good graphics style and well crafted sound, that should satisfy any fan of the genre.

The characters, along with the story, are the strong point of the title, returning many of the classics we could see being a jumble of pixels in 2D so many years ago.

This Final Fantasy is an old school JRPG with good ideas but has a too simple battle system and a poor and generic plot.

Intelligent gameplay that takes advantage of the 3D effect. Crush3D is a great idea that has come to a console that seems designed for this game. It is repetitive and not very artistic, but fun and interesting for fans of puzzle games.

Still playful and dynamic, this Shantae is the lest challenging of the series, despite its formula keeps its magic.

This game doesn't contain the "legacy" of Assault Horizon. It isn't as fun as PS3/360 version, and oversimplifies the experience. However, the 3D effect and being able to carry anywhere is an idea so powerful as an war aircraft.

Dracula evolves once again with the Mercury Steam crew by offering a 20 hour action-packed adventure with a beautiful design and interesting mechanics. Even thought it has some shadows (stealth doesn't fit well into the formula), this game is worth a buy.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed is a good example of how a remake should be made from a game that has aged well despite the peculiarities of its time, both in terms of mechanics and narrative. An interesting return to the past that seems even more attractive thanks to its reduced price.

NBA Jam is on fire! The classic arcade basket game has returned and better and ever. The variety of game modes add much more depth to the fun and simple game we always loved in the 90s and it even includes multiplayer through Xbox Live and PSN. Incredible dunks and amazing jumps are waiting for you in their 2 vs 2 matches, you only have to say... BOOM SHAKA LAKA!

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires adds a significant strategic dose to the usual battles in the franchise. The game interface is simple and accessible, and can be enjoyed by all types of users. A pretty good game, full of content.

Sacred 2 is a pure, old school hack'n slash made for old school fans of the genre. There is no will of experimentation and it uses the classic formulas for player archetypes, combat, evolution or loot. It´s certainly enjoyable if you love the genre, but it doesn't offer anything new and at some moments it suffers from technical glitches and other small annoyances.

Drifting Lands looks like the classic bullet hell in terms of control and sensations, although it adds personalization and leveling elements that give it its own personality. However, the result is not as good as it should be, becoming repetitive and offering an improvable level design. Even so, fans of the genre will be able to take a look without fear.

Dawn of Ragnarök is one of the best Assassin's Creed expansion yet, a mythological journey with new powers and challenges.

It might be seen as a mixture between a Visual Novel and a JRPG, although all the fun comes from the later. It delivers fast-paced combats and an interesting approach to new gameplay mechanics, but it lacks an intriguing story-line. Fans of the genre will find something new and fresh, which is more than we could've hoped.

Our Xbox 360s become a huge karaoke machine. Lips is not our average karaoke game, as it features several minigames that provide a bigger and more varied experience. A great tracklist and many fun features, but it could deliver videos in higher resolutions, and not every song has its own video. Also, the tracks do not work as smoothly as they could.

Catchy flies but none of them good enough to justify to stupidity of the campaing mode. Nice graphics, great sound, quite impressive gameplay style but bassically's more of the same that we learned on Ace Combat X. Give it a try if you're a die-hard of the series. It could be interesting for those who're willing to have some multiplayer fun.

For all those Monster Hunter friendly fans out there, God Eater represents one of the best choises to make nowadays if willing to play some hunt-and-roll style. Its pretty difficil not to fall under 'Burst' enchants, although the control mechanics fails from time to time. If you aren't looking for an intriguing story, this is the best choice to make. Pure fun.

Minecraft: Story Mode is a game made with love for the original series. The fans and the children are satisfied with the game. However, its a game too easy and short for hardcore gamers.

A colorful island and a lot of challenges, with the best 3D Nintendo's console has in this first batch of titles. The worst is that it is very schematic and return to the origins of the old games. Besides, there aren't StreetPass, multiplayer, camera, or online modes.

A Musical Story is a laudable attempt to tell a story based on the mechanics of a musical game. The game manages to imbue us with that atmosphere, scarce in silence, that was the 70s. The mechanics are very simple and allow us to focus on the music and the story: the trip through memory shattered, a search for the way back in the middle of the darkness, the light at the end of the tunnel that lights up blinking to the beat of guitar notes.

The 3rd Birthday is different from its elder brothers, being an action-based adventure with few RPG elements. Although the visuals are stunning, the gameplay suffers from a few glitches, along with the metaphysical storyline, that has nothing to do with the original Parasite Eve titles. This said, it's a great buy if you're looking for an interesting game with a beautiful empty-minded protagonist.

A game that can be loved beyond its problems, and that can be hated despite its triumphs. A game looking for a player looking for something different, quiet, relaxed with a big and refreshing focus on exploration beyond anything else.

The fourth episode is a step back of what we see at the third one, pretty easy, short and only interesting for those who loves the movies. TellTale Games can make it better, we all know.

Twelve minutes transforms the cinematic god's eye into the interactive man's eye. Luis Antonio, the author, has achieved a concentrated dose of tension and urgency by atomizing time and space. The game reliably prevents excessive repetition leading to boredom, the great stumbling block of time-loop mechanics.

This brand new entry to the Pokémon franchise feels fresh and captivating, but overall doesn't highlight anything in particular, making the general feeling just good and not as great as it could have been if the developer would have put more effort into its mechanics and gameplay.

A great fighting game that will appeal to fans of the manga and veteran players of fighting games.

Shadows of the Damned: Hella Remastered is the great return of one of the most original and beloved PS3 and Xbox 360 games. It's not flawless, but it's pretty fun.

An interesting experiment, an interactive anime full of style but short in substance that can't compete with better alternatives in the Beat'em Up genre, but that manages to impress with its audiovisual approach.

ScreamRide has good moments and fun levels, but has some issues in terms of poor visuals and too many irregular stages. However, it's sandbox mode is a good and complete editor level.

Miitopia is back on Nintendo Switch. New Mii customisation options, a steed and an adventure that relies on giving prominence to the characters... but not so much to the story. The work adjusts itself to the player's tastes, with plenty of options to configure trades, skills, behaviours, synergies... Despite its repetitiveness, it's a refined blend of the classic turn-based JRPG experience with Tomodachi Life, but this time adding quality of life details that result in an improved version over the Nintendo 3DS work. It's not a lazy port. The irreverence of its writing, the unexpected situations each character can come up with, and its ease of minigames make it a perfectly enjoyable title for all audiences; especially newcomers to the genre.

Overall, Ridge Racer: Unbounded is a good arcade racing game, which offers many interesting features like its multiplayer modes, the track creator, the destruction of environments. But it could have been a better game, as it's unoriginal, all the cars are almost the same and its story isn't interesting. A good racing game that could have been a greater game.

Cold, Cold Heart offers a three hour campaign focused on Mister Freeze, but is a bit lazy in terms of gameplay mechanics and options to explore the city. It's not a bad addition to Arkham Origins, but definitely could be much better.

A fantastic game and a memorable story hidden in a technical mess. Sadly, the PS3 version has done little to improve this.

Bionic Commando could have been something really big, but it failed to use all of its potential. A fun and interesting game that has a lot to offer, a great action-packed game that does great on both consoles and PC, but it should have fared much better.

Nice action-packed shooter in which we won't find nothing new but lots of enemies, guns and interesting stuff to have some fun for a while. It's a shame Vilition's use of a story that lack any interesting feature at all.

Lords of the Fallen is one of the best soulslike out there. It is very ambitious and great to play, but it is not perfect. Its technical problems makes it very irregular, but at the same time the game is essential for all Dark Souls fans.

Crackdown 2 is quite similar to the previous game, it lacks innovation and fresh ideas. But its 4 players coop mode is really fun, and we can spend several hours playing that game mode. If you plan on playing alone, there are much better options.

Sonic Frontiers breaks the curse within the 3D franchise with a great designed open world adventure. It's not perfect, but is easy to fall in love with it. A legend like Sonic deserved a game like this.

Age of Empires is updated to compete against the latest versions of mobile and social games. The tactic is obvious: provide a free experience supported by optional subscriptions. The basis of the product are of good quality and adequate enough to attract different types of players, but the specifics details concerning expansions packs will define the user acceptance and the future of the bet ultimately. A very good job for now.

The fifth and final chapter of Life is Strange 2 lets us say goodbye to the story of Sean and Daniel. Even though it has flaws and the ending is not as powerful as we wished, it's still an interesting story to live, with wonderful characters and important themes like racism and the liberty to be who we are.

Monster Jam Showdown is an effective arcade racing game with a lot of content, although it is too repetitive. Some features such as the physics could be improved. However it guarantees many hours of fun aboard the most iconic monster trucks.

A beautiful experience that, unfortunately, is not as god in terms of game and narrative design.

LEGO Horizon Adventures is a simple adventure that does its job as a blocky reinterpretation of Aloy's origins. Sadly, the level design is almost the same through the game.

Great graphics, great gameplay style, but nothing really new that's worth the try if you're not a fan of the World Cup or if you want to use the South Africa championship to do something special with the arcade style that FIFA offers in its Wii version. It's a very interesting game lacking something useful for those who want to see a different game, or an evolved one.

Trying a little departure from the Atelier's Arland trilogy, Ayesha brings new elements, like a combat system with more options and a revamped item-crafting system. Maybe its visuals are poor in texture quality, but Atelier Ayesha sure feels like a regular entry in the series.

Maquette stands out for an excellent love story that affects the aesthetics of the stage. It is very well written and excellently interpreted. It is fresh, natural, credible, and its development makes us want to move forward.
