  1. Beyond the love fest of talking heads is a compelling life story that courses through the Depression, World War II and swinging London, all evoked in well-curated archival footage.
  2. Part 2 turns out to be more than the last of its kind. Almost magically, it ends up being one of the best of the series as well.
  3. Laughter, which is ladled on thick as gravy, proves to be the secret ingredient - turning what should be a feel-bad movie about those troubled times into a heart-warming surprise.
