Square Enix takes the well known gameplay mechanics we all know from games like Minecraft and gives them a twist in order to create their own building game with Dragon's Quest soul. As addictive as easy to learn, Builders is a great surprise and the proof that you can do a lot with very little.

XCOM 2 launches on PS4 with the same strength and virtues as its PC counterpart did less than a year ago. It's an evolution of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, but with a harmony in each of every new mechanic that further enhances the positive aspects of the first game. A must for every strategy, turn based combat fan out there.

Variable State's first game is an experiment in the storytelling field, using the cinematographic language as its plot axis. For most players it will be hard to swallow, although it rewards those daring to enter its depths, resembling successful shows like Twin Peaks. Perhaps the dream sequences are the least interesting part of the game, although it is a breath of fresh air.

Rise of Iron is, literally, just more of Destiny. If Destiny has kept you entertained so far, you will like this new piece of content, but don't expect great things when it comes to new mechanics. Maybe it has the burden of The Taken King, that put the aim quite high, but Rise of Iron leaves us wanting more. Bungie has to add new content if they want to make us play a few more months.

FIFA 17 takes a step forward and finally offers a Story Mode that becomes a must for the franchise from now on. The enhancements in the offensive AI translates into a better spectacle than last year, and Frostbite's influence on physics and collision gives us unexpected and new situations in each fight for the ball. Ultimate Team is improved once again, and its only burden is the lack of improvements in other modes, although this game reinvents the franchise once again.

Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness won't win a GOTY prize. It's entertaining and that's all. Even though we have reviewed the game in its PS4 version, it's the perfect product for PS Vita, specially manga fans, obviously. It's hard to talk about it as a game when it's not, but it's an interesting product for Psycho-Pass fans.

Visual Concepts Studio repeats its good work. We have a tight package this year. NBA 2K17 is still the best sports game out there. But it doesn’t surprise, it doesn’t innovate. We have many corrections and the perfect online game. But some people will ask for more.

Konami takes no risk at all with PES 2017 and just enhances what we saw in the last entry of the franchise in order to make just a better game. It's really enjoyable, similar to what we saw in PES 5 and PES 6. However, there aren't enough innovation when it comes to game modes, and the scarce licenses aren't enough to make Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 the ultimate soccer game of the year.

If there is a must when it comes to remasters, it's BioShock: The Collection. Blind Squirrel made a superb work adapting for 1080p and 60fp an already superior franchise. If you haven't played any BioShock yet, this is the best moment and, if you are into Ken Levine's work, BioShock: The Collection has to be on your shelf.

LEGO Dimensions is the bet of Warner in the toys-to-life genre. The high price of its expansions is a hard to solve issue, even though enjoyment is guaranteed. The mix of several franchises and well-known brands is one of its best assets, clearly aiming for LEGO collectors.

An original, easily identifiable game, with the aim to show marxist society in a way no other product has. The Tomorrow Children is an interesting social experiment that wants to test teamwork and communication without a language. Even so, along the way it loses enjoyment and surprise factor. Q-Games Studio must launch updates and new content if they are aiming to get a solid fanbase of avid gamers. As for now, it's just a powerful idea with huge potential if they know how to take advantage of it.

Resident Evil 4's PS4 launch is the best chance to play a classic the best way possible, although it has to be kept in mind that it has just been remastered and has an improved framerate. Same gameplay mechanics of eleven years ago, which can be the best for nostalgics or the worst for newcomers.

God Eater 2 is a good game, with the gameplay mechanics of Monster Hunter or Freedom Wars and can be a good substitute until a new game of those franchises. There is the burden of being a remaster of a handheld game, and what it implies in camera and visuals.

The variety of areas that make Nuka World, as well as themed gear of each of them is probably the main attractive of this DLC. It keeps with what we saw in the main game when it comes to gameplay and mission mechanics, without many new things to talk about, but it will most likely be the perfect excuse that those who want to roam the Wasteland once again need.

Playdead has made a game equally interesting both in its gameplay as in its plot. Everything feels so natural and the combination of puzzles, platforms and sidescrolling enhances the formula already used in Limbo. Inside will be in your mind well after you've finished it, and its ending's many interpretations make an overall superb experience and a remarkable game.

Kunos Simulazioni offers a successful console edition on Assetto Corsa in the gameplay aspect, with many options that make the experience really enjoyable for those keen on driving simulation. However, the game lacks visual quality, with some elements looking as if they came right out of the old-gen, something that sets the game kind of far from other driving games.

The King of Fighters XIV offers addictive playability, with a wide roster, and the classic 3vs3 team fights. Whether online or solo, this iteration of the franchise offers a mode for each player, specially those who have kept in touch with the series. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided retains all of what made Human Revolution great and augments it. However, there isn't anything new and even has some gameplay mechanics that kinda take us back in time. Amazing for those who enjoyed the last installment in the franchise or those looking for an action RPG, with stealth options, a strong and mature plot and sophisticated gameplay.

F1 2016 does what its predecessor could not, and it offers an absolute experience of Formula 1 with its immersive Professional Career mode. All the rituals of the World Championship are in the practice and in the race. They are also in the hospitality, and the game allows the player to feel in the suit and with helmet on his head. This F1 is a good start. It doesn't hide the absence of more novel modes to achieve something as shocking as the 2013 edition.

Fluent space exploration videogames' dream comes true. No Man's Sky is an experiment that has its flaws when it comes to design, and you must always fight the randomness of its concept. Its creators made something unique and with unfathomable vastness. Probably, with a bigger team, with a bigger budget and with more ideas when it comes to variety in gameplay mechanics, we would be talking about a true revolution in this kind of entertainment.

Carmageddon doesn't impress or scandalize anyone anymore. Nostalgia isn't enough to sell a game filled with bugs and serious issues, where the only redeeming factor is the plenty of cars and gameplay hours it offers. Technical and gameplay issues may disappoint even the brand's most loyal fans.
