The execution of the core gameplay is stopped before it can lift off with controls that are needlessly ill suited for the type of game this is.

When it all comes together with four friends coordinating attacks against a tremendous boss, Lost Planet 2 can be an absolute joy. Unfortunately, those moments are few and far between given the hurdles one must jump through to reach that point.

Even little kids will probably be turned off by the lack of options – unless they don't mind literally playing the same over and over.

Clive Barker's Jericho is a mish-mash of great concepts and stupid design choices.

I love the character design and the over-the-top approach the taken but the dastardly duo of ridiculously hard AI to mask a shallow control mechanics doesn't bode well when trying to get fans on board a new franchise.

While on paper, Academy of Champions: Soccer sounds like the perfect title for young gamers, it's not. The imprecise controls, lack of depth and repetitive single-player results in a game that won't adequately entertain children, nevermind the general public.

Gardening Mama and Cooking Mama might as well be the same game. The change of setting is nice but that alone doesn't differentiate it enough from past Mama games to make Gardening Mama feel completely home grown and fresh.

The intended audience for Republic Heroes is going to be much more forgiving of the flaws than older Star Wars veterans.

For a visual showpiece, Afro Samurai is outstanding but for everything else, you can safely pass.

As unremarkably unremarkable as you might expect. A kid's game, easy Achievements and shallow gameplay. [Issue 15, p.92]

KFR was a daring launch title in regards to the PlayStation Move. Unfortunately, KFR comes across as a shallow experience marred by overuse of the PlayStation Move.

Super Hero Squad does a lot of the small things right, sacrificing some larger issues that should have been addressed. It is backwards game design in that regard since mechanics like combat and super powers needed to be adjusted along with fixing the camera trailing the heroes.

There isn't much use trying to analyze the content in this combo pack of games. It feels so far removed from the arcade roots that it would be hard to believe that these were once a bonafied exhilarating arcade experience. The only saving grace is the $30 price point, which is essentially the price of two downloadable game titles. Still, without the smoke and mirrors of a busy arcade, this pack of games shows how shallow they are at the core.

Napoleon Dynamite does a good job at staying faithful to the movie and adding some gameplay mechanics. However, there are some poor design choices like the flash-like graphics and some frustrating mini-games.

Do not buy this game. If you're craving a movie trivia game, try one of the older Scene It titles or look into a new genre. There is really nothing here that you can't find elsewhere in a more complete and enjoyable package. Believe me, the announcer will drive you nuts.

Conquest is very uncharacteristic of what Pandemic is capable of. Playing through Conquest, it was surprising to see the attention to detail in the visual department and the failure to execute in creating a smooth experience juxtaposed in the same game.

Transformers movie was such a good set up for a video game, unfortunately it has gone through the same transition other movie video games have seen, and sadly this is one of the worst and shortest experiences any fan will incur.

Zathura unfortunately adds to the ever growing list of bad games based on children's films. This is rather sad because I believe given time, a decent budget, and a talented development team, the story of Zathura could make a good game.
