Action, strategy and role-playing! While being aimed at fans of the animated series, SD Gundam Battle Alliance is probably one of the best gateways to getting started in the Mobile Suit Gundam universe.

A very, very traditional musô ... but nevertheless successful. Admittedly, its cel-shadding remains an obvious make-up for a dated technique, but it also causes a reinforced Japanese atmosphere and some appreciable graphic effects; Likewise, the repetitiveness of its missions is an obvious black point but is compensated by a diversity of characters and interesting gameplay, and this despite the criticized reduction of its cast.

While being accessible, scaled for all kind of players and open to mobile phones, this new episode of Just Dance doesn't bring enough new things to completely regain player's interest, especially with this economic model.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a unique experience in the modern video game landscape that deserves to be commended. GSC Game World's FPS offers total immersion in a fascinating post-apocalyptic universe, a survivalist vision that is (too) rare in video games and an unparalleled atmosphere. Unfortunately, it also suffers from several problems that prevent it from achieving excellence, starting with its technical delay, its improvable AI and its story that struggles to assert itself. Stalker 2 will appeal above all to fans of the genre who will be able to ignore all its mistakes.

Cindered Shadows includes new characters, new classes and features some tough challenges but the story depicted in this DLC is quite disappointing and lacks of impact and creativity.

There are some good ideas in Moolighter, with its dungeons, fighting, loot and management simulation. That’s why the first hours of play are pleasant and fun. But that won’t last, for the rest of the game is repetitive.

Metal Slug Tactics is certainly a love letter, albeit clumsy, to fans of the license. Dotemu and Leikir Studio subtly adapt the concept of run'n'gun into a turn-based tactical video game but stumble several times. The variety of gameplay is not enough to motivate the player to restart the game again and again. The fault lies in a similar construction of each run, combined with a lack of challenge that does not force a possible adaptation and change of style. All of this is, on PlayStation 5, punctuated by multiple and significant loading times that are prohibitive for games of the genre. If the first veterans of the license can find it with a certain pleasure, Metal Slug Tactics should not seduce new recruits despite a brilliant idea.

Talpa Games delivers here a solid platformer all in lightness, with a simple and controlled gameplay, pleasant levels to go and a nice progression curve. We will do so with pleasure the five to six hours of the adventure. But we often regret a level design that is too wise, the iterations of which are not sufficiently daring to make this ride a memorable adventure. Still, a happy walk in the sun always feels good. And that's what the title offers us.

Despite everything, the fun is still present and exploding buildings, disintegrating agents of the Majestic or extirpating the brains of humans still has its small effect, 15 years after the original.

First and foremost intended for fans of the Star Wars saga, The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu is a very decent game pack, which offers a solid experience, if not really interesting over time.

Visually successful and above all funny, Legend of Keepers manages to deliver a satisfying Roguelite experience without revolutionizing the genre. With its principle of inverted dungeon-crawler, we quickly get into the game looking for the best possible synergies to face the vile heroes. Unfortunately, despite these three characters and these different game modes, the title of Goblinz Studio does not manage to renew itself enough to offer varied game situations and make the player stay for several dozen hours of play. This does not prevent for all that the title of being effective, and above all, of making people laugh on many occasions.

The Bloober Team delivers a psychological and supernatural thriller with multiple controlled influences, and a story that is both dark and touching. The Medium is an artistic work in its own right, both visual and musical, whose universe deserves to be explored. The Polish studio also manage to take advantage of this playful duality between the physical and spiritual planes without necessarily innovating too much during a linear adventure. The threat weighing on Marianne, as intense as it may be at times, loses too often in intensity to permanently mark the players. The Medium is ultimately an “arty” horrific experience like the developers' previous productions.

In the end, there is a little taste of the unfinished, but also the feeling of having lived a unique adventure. Not unforgettable, but there is fire, you have to try it.

Yes, the quests and the story are not crazy. Yes, the technique of the game is outdated. Yes, getting around is boring and the interface painful. But you have fun creating your army, choosing among all the possibilities the best possible combination. We take pleasure in browsing this skilfully constructed universe. And we get excited as we face the challenges of the tough battles ahead. Despite its flaws, the game manages to glue the player and make them want to load up their game. You should not shy away from your pleasure.

Like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Cozy Grove's leitmotif is to take your time, while taking advantage of breathtaking artistic direction. Its positive attitude and its very chill side will delight fans but are unlikely to change the minds of those who do not appreciate the genre.

There’s no big innovative feature in The Sims 4: Seasons, but that expansion pack adds many little things the fans will surely enjoy, mostly because the season changes break the habit in many good ways.
