There's no doubt about it, F1 2012 wants to reach perfection as well as proposing a game that could fit players that were not born with a wheel in their hands. Even if it's difficult to talk about innovations, some small modifications are enough to boost the IP. Again, Codemasters proves it knows how to develop a great F1 racing game.- JeuxActu

If we had to compare Of Orcs and Men with usual standards, the title can't be seen as a flawless game, especially when you look at its poor level design and its loot system. But it would be a shame to avoid its great tactical fighting sequences, and its amazing narration that could surpass some AAA games, making Of Orcs and Men a pleasant surprise.- JeuxActu

If you can buy one game in 2012, it should be Dishonored. From production to its ingenious gameplay, Arkhane Studios' title is outstanding, with its multiple references to many games such as Deus Ex, Thief, Bioshock or Half Life 2. It's simple, Dishonored is a 2-in-1 game you can finish either with violence and lots of action sequences, or with discretion, applying stealth strategies to kill your enemies without being seen.- JeuxActu

One Piece: Pirate Warriors isn't the game of the year but it's probably the best game in the series. Some can say it's just a Dynasty Warriors-like, with all the problems that come with it, but it's a good one. The use of Quick Time Events is clever and brings some kind of renewal to the gameplay. Most of all, Pirate Warriors is the most accurate episode and it will be no problem to convince the fans.- JeuxActu

If Konami still needs to learn some things from FIFA, PES 2013 is clearly heading the right way. However, at this time, PES 2013 doesn't have the necessary keys to offer a gaming experience as complete as Electronic Arts' IP, especially regarding the graphic aspects. The next title, coming to the next-gen consoles, should be able to counter FIFA success, if Konami remains hardworking.- JeuxActu

If we had to compare, Inazuma Eleven Strikers is clearly not as good as the previous games released on Nintendo DS. For sure, it has many qualities such as its career mode, the great number of players to unlock and nice animations used for shooting sequences. And yet, the lack of an online gaming experience and an old-fashioned production are not easy to forgive, as if Level-5 were keeping the remaining good parts of the game for the next title.- JeuxActu

FIFA 13 is maybe close to FIFA 12. However, for EA Vancouver, the first one was an evolution when the second one was a revolution. The Canadian studios manage to improve the already good bases of the IP, especially the ones on which players were looking for improvements. In another way, FIFA 13 is a game you'll need to play for hours to discover all the details that make it the greatest football simulation game to date.- JeuxActu

While not perfect, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes offers a great and charming adventure. The spirit of the famous detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle remains intact, as the game proposes many improvements in terms of gameplay. With great puzzles to solve and interesting ideas regarding the way players can control the different characters, the Testament of Sherlock Holmes won't disappoint.- JeuxActu

Resident Evil 6 is not the blockbuster we were waiting for. The reason? Capcom decided to develop an action title instead of a survival horror game, despite their lack of knowledge players will be aware with the bad cover system. Of Course, everything is not that bad, to begin with its ingenious inventory, Jake Muller's campaign, or some of the QTE cleverly introduced all along the three different stories. However, the 30 hours of gameplay won't be enough to make Resident Evil 6 one the best episode of the IP.- JeuxActu

Funnier and brilliant, Borderlands 2 is twice as good as the first episode was, something which isn't always the case for sequels. But Gearbox Software manages to improve their IP in many ways, offering one of these titles you could not possibly forget to buy in 2012, and proposing new features that will allow players to blow off some steam for hours.- JeuxActu

With Rocksmith, Ubisoft offers a fun experience that will create a bunch of new guitarists thanks to a great learning method, using tabs and clear video tutorials. Moreover, with its interesting song list, though not really eclectic, Rocksmith will occupy players for hours, until they decide to get the different DLC pack released to date that will extend their game length and enhance their level with new skills.- JeuxActu

With a wait of almost three years, Tales of Graces F could have been a great disappointment. But the wait is now over, and despite the first few hours lacking of energy, the title proves that Namco Bandai Games masters its subject. Like Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces F hides at first a great potential that finally reveals itself gradually during the adventure. A pleasant surprise that only suffers from old-fashioned graphics.- JeuxActu

When studios like Project Aces are able to introduce us to innovative action flying games, others like Trickstar Games have some difficulties in proposing the same title. With its old-fashioned production and its boring gameplay mechanics, Damage Inc : Pacific Squadron WWII never takes off, the only action players will enjoy being the pleasure of counting the raindrops on their plane's windscreen.- JeuxActu

Released two years after War for Cybertron, Transformers : Fall of Cybertron had plenty of time to correct the mistakes of the first episode. However, instead of doing so, the developers prefered to work on the different robots players could play with in the sequel. Thereby, featuring a varied gameplay, Fall of Cybertron appears to be a good game to blow off some steam, just hoping the next sequel will be better.- JeuxActu

As an independent game developed by a little french studio, Shad'O couldn't rival the big productions that were released this last year. But as a Tower Defense title, Shad'O appears to be interesting. Its scenario, its poetic atmosphere and clever gameplay features bring something original to the IP compared to similar titles. The main problem is its unbalanced fighting system, some of the different units under our spell being either useless, or enter the fight too late leading to unpredictable sessions.- JeuxActu

True Survival-RPG without peaceful moments, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will convey either fascination or hatred, being an terrible hardcore game. Players that were looking for a simple Action-RPG title will have difficulties to appreciate its tough gameplay, whereas the ones looking for the ultimate challenge will welcome Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition with open arms. It's a shame the PC version doesn't bring any particular features compared to the console versions.- JeuxActu

It's simple: everything in Guild Wars 2 as a MMORPG title is attractive, starting with its free-to-play status. But Guild Wars 2 also proposes something new in the MMORPG world with its dynamic quests system, and its really ambitious fighting sequences that will surely please many players looking for a big and dangerous fantasy universe, holding many secrets to uncover.- JeuxActu

For those who doubted its success, Tokyo Jungle appears to be a great survival title on PS3. With chihuahuas, lions, and even raptors to play with, players will be pleased every second to star as the potential animal king of a post-apocalyptic Tokyo. Moreover with its great game length, and its intuitive gameplay mechanics, Tokyo Jungle proposes an exotic journey, despite a disappointing graphical experience.- JeuxActu

Despite some qualities, among them the new supernatural theme, enthusiasm is not really the word that comes directly to our mind while playing The Sims 3 : Supernatural. Of course, it is pleasant to play as a werewolf, or to create terrific potions that could turn our Sims into zombies. However, the surprise is no more, especially when you know a eighth expansion set will be released soon with not so many new features.- JeuxActu

With Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Katsuhiro Harada proposes a good sequel to the successful fighting game released on PS2. The gameplay mechanics are still intuitive but leave room for improvement. Thanks to the Tag Crash and the Tag Assault attacks, the fighting sequences are now mostly well-balanced. Moreover, with tons of playable characters and the new World Tekken Federation, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is a clearly the kind of title that a lot of players will enjoy, especially when it comes to building communities around it.- JeuxActu

Drawing inspiration from games such as Limbo and Prince of Persia, but also from TV Shows like The Walking Dead for the storyline, Deadlight doesn't actually propose an original zombiefied experience. Because despite a pleasant art direction, Tequila Works' title suffers from a classic gameplay and a terrible game length that only some players who are not very particular about this kind of details. will enjoy for a short afternoon.- JeuxActu

Coming back from the dead, Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor won't present a pleasant experience to the player yet with its gameplay handicapped by the use of Kinect. Despite the departure of Activision but thanks to Square Enix's help, United Front Games found enough inspiration to propose a great alternative to the Grand Theft Auto series, with Sleeping Dogs. With its good representation of Hong-Kong, a variety of missions, and great fighting sequences that could bring Bruce Lee back from the dead, Sleeping Dogs can proudly appear among the best GTA-like games developed to date.- JeuxActu

If Chuck Norris can count to infinity twice in less than two months, Ubisoft and Zootfly Studios clearly needed more time to offer a game as good as The Expendables 2 could be on screen. Because in the end, we are facing a boring title that offers an old-fashioned production and a game that's full of bugs, rough gameplay, a repetitive soundtrack and a ridiculously short game length that players won't enjoy in any way, shape or form.- JeuxActu

Mario has become so important for Nintendo that there's not a year without the famous plumber coming to a game console owned by Big N. If we were happy to see the hero coming back, we quickly realized New Super Mario Bros 2 only takes the successful mechanisms of the previous title without the originality. Especially when chasing gold coins is not really fascinating.- JeuxActu

At the end of the day, you can't find any big problems that could waste your game experience of Endless Space. Some might say that the battles aren't spectacular enough, the IA is too basic, or the graphic engine is very demanding. But it's nothing if you look at the long nights you'll spent managing your galactic empire. For this price, do not hesitate. End turn.- JeuxActu

If Project Zero 2 remains identical to the version released in 2005 on PS3 regarding its hair-raising universe and its original gameplay, the Wii title won't give the IP a new lease of life. Graphically the same, Project Zero 2: Wii Edition also suffers from bad game controls, the Wiimote clearly better for party-games. It's really infortunate when you know that horror titles are not many on Wii.- JeuxActu

Theatrhythm : Final Fantasy is clearly a game developed for fans. Similar to Dissidia in terms of contents to unlock, the game also offers a interesting gameplay introducing some RPG elements. The experience points are earned with difficulty and yet pride, especially when when players will fint it unthinkable not to play each musical pieces over and over again to reach perfection.
