Since it arrived on 3DS, The Kirby IP is limited to subpar games and Kirby Battle Royale is no different with only 10 mini-games where Mario Party: The Top 100 will provide us with a hundred. We can't really understand Nintendo's strategy with it's pink mascot but we hope the Switch episode of Kirby will bring back the glory days.

Gear.Club Unlimited is just a bad port of an otherwise successful mobile racing game. Even if the content is generous, the game is expensive, the gameplay is a joke, the AI is crap and the graphics are ugly. Don't bother with this one if you really like cars and racing games.

Pokemon Ultra-Sun and Ultra-Moon are inherently good games since they're base on the ones that came out one year ago, but the new content is not enough to justify buying them. On the other hand, if you haven't bought last year's opus, they are the choice to make.

While Stifled is a good VR experience with some creative gameplay ideas, the game falls flat as the player quickly understands how everything works which ruins the thriller ambiance of the game. A game to consider if you're into VR and alternative gameplay, and to pass otherwise.

If you didn't already go thru the dark corners of L.A. Noire when it came out on PS3 and Xbox 360, now is the time to do it as the Motion Scan hasn't aged a bit even if the visuals aren't quite up to modern standards. A must play overall.

Super Lucky's Tale is a VRless version of Lucky's Tale released last year on Onculus Rift. With 4K display on Xbox One X, the game doesn't manage to do much, especially because of an awful camera which makes Lucky's handling very hazardous.

With the enhanced graphics from the Legendary Edition, Skyrim offers nice looks and a very decent content on the Nintendo Switch. The only drawback is having to pay full price for a six years old game which is cheap on any other platform.

Outcast: Second Contact is a very good remaster as the core of the game remains unchanged while it's looks have been completely overhauled to fit modern hardware and players. A very good way to bring the nostalgia vibe for the seasoned players, and to make younger players discover this adventure.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a good follow-up to the first game with enriched content, refined gameplay that works to perfection and awesome visuals. We would have loved a longer solo mode to be honest.

Need For Speed: Payback is far from the Burnout style crashes we were shown at E3, leaving the game with only a nice looking open world, and a truckload of flaws like the go-buy-lootcrates grinding system, an appalling storyline and heavily scripted races.

The Switch version of DOOM is actually a pleasant surprise with an unaltered gameplay that's still incredibly effective on a small form factor machine. On the other hand, the games boasts ugly graphics, suffers from low framerate at times and has a premium price tag compared to the other platforms.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - Frozen Wilds is a good DLC that shows that Guerrilla has mastered the making of an open world, even if the story is not as good as the main one. The infiltration system could use some work too but overall it's very decent content for fans of the IP.

Sonic Forces is clearly on of the biggest duds of the year. In spite of some good graphics, the gameplay is very poor and all the content seems to be recycled from old Sonic games. Today, Mario must be laughing out loud.

Just Dance 2018 is clearly a game to forget as it's merely a copy of the previous games in the series, but we can only notice the drop in quality that goes along whether it's the dull playlist or the uninspired dance moves. A textbook case of badly recycled content.

Call of Duty WWII is one of the best iterations of the franchise in a long time, thanks to an awesome campaign and a worthy multiplayer enriched by the new War Mode and the HQ social lobby. A must-buy for every COD fan.

Spintires: Mudrunner is a good simulation for fans of hardcore off-roading, but the appalling technical side of things ruins a lot of the appeal, while the redundant objectives are quite boring as time goes by.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a very good solo FPS (which is already a rarity in the current game market) with a good story and a great sense of humor peppered by intense gunfights.

AER memories of Old is a very good little poetic game which will hook you up with it's amazing graphical style and the ability to play as an eagle to improve the freedom feel of it all. Only the shortness of the adventure may stop you from buying this at full blown price.

We were expecting a tremendous Mario, but in the end, Super Mario Odyssey is not as glorious as it appears. If it has undeniable qualities with well-oiled gameplay mechanics, it also displays technical issues and inequalities in the worlds we visited. Plus, the costumes that we earn are only cosmetic bonuses and the adventure ends a little quickly. But don't panic, Super Mario Odyssey is still a good episode and we've had fun with it.

Assassin's Creed Origins is simply the best AC we've played since Assassin's Creed II with Ezio. Thanks to the 4K resolution, Egyptian landscapes are absolutely stunning. The Combat system has been revamped as well in addition with new stealth mechanics. A game you must buy.

Destiny 2 is clearly better on PC with improved visuals and a much sleeker gameplay when you aim with a mouse, the only drawback being that you need quite a tough PC if you really want to push the graphics to the max.

Gran Turismo Sport fails to make our heart beat with a lack of content, and not many real existing cars or tracks, which feels odd for "The real driving simulator". The Fair-Play system isn't yet working properly, but hopefully it will before the start of the eSport season. At least players can still enjoy a nice physics model and an enjoyable feel to the drive.

Sold like it's a revolution, WWE 2K18 is merely an evolution of the previous game that mainly shows the big ambitions of the devs and their small budget while the awful QTE system still harms the gameplay in a big way.

Fire Emblem Warriors is a hit for the fans of Musö games as well as fans of the Fire Emblem IP with a joy-inspiring combat system. The only let downs are a crappy AI and some very weird storylines. A good beat'em all on Switch overall.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is a worthy successor to Obsidian Entertainment's game, with vastly improved combat and enriched gameplay. It lacks some of those very brave moments like the ones that were censored in the European console version of The Stick of Truth.
