Tropico 5 is a good niche game, well into the series but without any revolution. The small evolutions are enough to justify the buy from a fan of the IP, but most gamers that want to discover a dictator's life will be better off with Tropico 4 which you can find with all DLC for less money. On the other hand, if you do want to try ruling the island with friends, there should be no hesitation: you need to get the last game of the Tropican dynasty.- JeuxActu

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a successful comeback for Bethesda's IP. With an interesting plot, a caricature side and very old-school gameplay which brings back memories of id Software's hours of fame with the like of Doom and Quake, a masterpiece of a casting, MachineGames's new FPS has it all, or almost. We regret a story that's a bit short. Overall Wolfenstein: The New Order is a very good game, that fits well in it's family tree, and it's great fun to play.- JeuxActu

We don't know yet if Mario Kart 8 will help Nintendo to sell millions of Wii U's, but it's the game you must absolutely have on this console. Everything's in it: good rhythm, more than precise gameplay, crazy items, some well thought new tracks and a very solid online mode. If Mario Kart 8 is not really the best installment in the series, it's only because there is a lack of gamble in its gameplay.- JeuxActu

Let's be realistic: Spiders ain't Bioware and Bound By Flame is not Dragon Age. But the french studio tries it's hardest and gives us a quite hard RPG, far from the mainstream easiness of games. Each fight is an adventure, you better be a fan of Dark Souls than Super Mario RPG to enjoy that game. Anyway, you will have to close your eyes on some real flaws (weird level design, poor AI, boring script..) Happily, Bound By Flame is coming at a time where RPG are quite rare. If Spider's game won't replace Dragon Age Inquisition or Risen 3, it can be a way to wait until those latest editions come out.- JeuxActu

After a Yoshi's New Island we found a bit dull, and a very fun Mario Golf : World Tour, Nintendo hits a soft spot with Kirby Triple Deluxe, a real Best of the best from the small pink bubble. Graphically seducing, Hal Laboratory's tittle shines with it's addictive gameplay which uses Kirby's numerous powers, but also thanks to the changing grounds making the 3D use a must. Truly enjoyable, Kirby Triple Deluxe could have been perfect with a bit more risk-taking, instead of using game mechanics already seen numerous times. But the real drawback it that almighty feel you get while facing enemies, and the fact that the game is way too easy to provide a real challenge. We'll dry our tears with the truckload of unlockable bonuses that gives a good replay value. A game not to be missed if you like platformer games or are a Kirby fan.- JeuxActu

When you know a bit about soccer you can't help but notice Nintendo Pocket Football Club is littered with flaws, making that game unappealing to soccer fans. The game is way too easy to enjoy your team boss role. ParityBit's game still offers an easy approach to the sport making it a good choice for newbies to the sport.- JeuxActu

The Witch & The Hundred Knight is one of a kind, it's a title which tries to do something different in the very tight and narrow hack'n slash style. Nippon Ichi has made the choice of an hybrid gameplay, more tactical than you think and it can be a true strength. But the lack of rhythm in the narration and a very annoying camera, among other faults, make it just a little more than average.- JeuxActu

Octodad: Dadliest Catch may not be a triple A game, but Young Horses have been smart enough to make it catchy, with a particularly endearing hero. Unfortunately, Octodad suffers from an imprecise gameplay, a sometimes crazy camera and approximative collisions. It remains a good experience, maybe too expensive though.- JeuxActu

How hard it is to judge this cross-media experience. It's an unbalanced mix between four amazing short animation films, whom half have been made by Japanese masters, and one of the worst games of this year. Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day is a visual failure with a more than simple and unpleasant gameplay. Even with an hour of game, travel across ten levels without any satisfaction or any feeling that you're moving forward is a huge frustration. The short films save its fate.- JeuxActu

Specially made for YouTube and Twitch, Daylight carries the legacy of Slenderman and Amnesia. Dark visuals, first person view without any form of self-defense, gloomy and nerve-racking atmosphere: everything's in it. Among all those banalities, Daylight has something very uncommon: the random generated levels, which is the strength and the weakness of this game, as it can't be fully mastered from a rhythm point of view.- JeuxActu

Child of Light is beautiful, amazing, poetic, deeper than you think on several points and cheap. This game is a fresh breeze as well as a mastered project. It may look like a childish title, but it's not, even if it can talk to your inner 5-year-old girl/boy. If you're an RPG lover, go for it. If you're an indie lover, go for it. If you're just a player, go for it.- JeuxActu

Fans of Versus Fighting or 2D fighting games in general, do not miss the gem called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle, even if you don't know a thing about the series or the manga. Like Street Fighter 4, CyberConnect2's title will appeal to newbies and veterans alike thanks to its arcade stick and its smooth gameplay, but it's also filled with subtleties that require skill if you get into it. Top all this with brilliant direction (awesome graphics) and a base roster of 32 characters with many interesting game modes (besides the useless campaign mode which has a despicable business model) and you'll get an explosive mix. A very nice game to pick up while waiting for Ultra Street Fighter IV, set for this summer, and which is going to be another update of Capcom's fighting game.- JeuxActu

Like its ancestor, Wargame: Red Dragon looks more like a DLC disguised as a stand-alone, than a real new game. If the fans like that opus, the majority of gamers will find no interest in this IP which is getting even harder to jump in. That being said, the Asian context of the solo campaign, and the arrival of sea units which enrich the gameplay are welcome additions. Like before, it's by going multiplayer that we'll see the effect of those units since the AI is still a bit of a mold. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.- JeuxActu

Pretty, deep, demanding, and accurate: Mario Golf World Tour places itself as one of the safe bets of the 3DS. You will keep training again and again to get the infinite amount of subtleties of its gameplay. But not everything is perfect. The crazy items that Nintendo was promoting are simply useless, and there will be some complaints about the price of the DLC's and Season Pass.- JeuxActu

As expected, Trials Fusion is a real success. Ubisoft is now leading the game, and it's enhanced technically as well as in a gameplay matter. The track editor, challenges and extra content weren't even needed. It's kind of strange but the multiplayer modes is the only bad argument against this title, that deserved much more on this side.- JeuxActu

We were anticipating this version of Titanfall with some apprehension. Finally, it's a pretty good port, even compared to the Xbox One edition. Of course, the two games aren't able to produce the same visual quality, but that doesn't impact the gaming experience and you will have fun on Xbox 360 too.- JeuxActu

It's hard to understand why EA wants to make FIFA more casual, more accessible, as the series is a record seller every year. It's also quite hard to get why FIFA World Cup: Brazil 2014 is sold as an entire game whilst it's more like a big DLC. Of course, all the official content make the game interesting as long as you take it for what it is: a fancy football game far from the demanding gameplay of FIFA 14.- JeuxActu

The Sly Cooper HD Trilogy do the job while we're waiting for some true exclusive titles on PS Vita. Compared to the PS3 version, this port has nothing to be ashamed of, as gameplay and visuals are still excellent. The only regrets we have are about the lack of interaction with the touchscreen and the necessity to download the third episode.- JeuxActu

The main quality of The Elder Scrolls Online is the giving of a good answer to the fans asking for an MMO Elder Scrolls for years. But objectively, it's not the best MMORPG around, nor the best episode of the series. Consequently, the game has good moments but it never enters the unforgettable kind. And the subscription seems very high at the end of the day.- JeuxActu

Even if it's just a port, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition deserved more. We could talk about enhanced visuals but the game is really far from beautiful. The battles are dynamic and the cast is huge. But it's not enough to see it as a gathering episode.- JeuxActu

After the failure of the last LEGO installment, what a thrill to play this one. LEGO : The Hobbit smells like déjà-vu but the receipt is kind of efficient. It's a great entertainment and it will give some good stuff to Tolkien and LEGO fans, despite of the recurring technical problems and repetitive gameplay.- JeuxActu

As long as you don't start to play, the game seems to be fun, pretty and you can say to yourself that you're gonna spend some nights on it with your pals. But you will soon change your mind. Amongst the only six sports available, three are just good to go to the garbage because of the inaccuracy of the detection. And the others don't bring enough togetherness to be played for hours. At the end of the day, Kinect is far more enjoyable from your couch.- JeuxActu

Professor Layton VS. Ace Attorney reach only half of its objectives. From a purely scenaristic point of view, the mission is rather accomplished, as Level 5 offers a great piece of story without going nuts with the cross-over stuff. Unfortunately, the two gameplays stay far from each other and never really mix. That's kind of awkward for a cross-over title.- JeuxActu

Goat Simulator is mostly a big gaming joke, and we'd love to love it. But it needed to be free, or really cheap. With a 10 euros price tag, players can ask for more. As the creators of this UFO said earlier, "you should probably instead buy a hula hoop, a pile of bricks or a real goat".- JeuxActu

Pinball Arcade is a very good exclusive title for PS4 and at the same time the best pinball game we've seen for years. With 22 playfields (and 35 others to come) amongst the best, you've a huge content at your disposal. Furthermore, the Farsight game successfully retranscripts the sensations, visuals and noises of all those playfields of the past. Old-school.- JeuxActu

Maybe Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea - Episode 2 is exactly what Thief was meant to be: the best stealth game of the early days of 2014? This one is an absolutely must-have for Bioshock fans. As an awful reflection of the recent events at Irrational Games, Bioshock releases its true conclusion and leaves the taste of accomplishment. An awesome last shot.- JeuxActu

Keiji Inafune and his pals got us there: we were expecting something big, and Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z is just another insult to the beat'em all gender. Despite some diversity from one combo to another, the fights quickly become boring because of an out-of-age AI, amongst other faults. Mediocrity in the level design reinforces this very straightforward aspect of Yaiba, which is far from its ancestors from a technical point of view.- JeuxActu

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is a nice remake of two great games. Technically (and that's the point of this HD version), there's nothing to complain about, and you will also be able to play some new content from the International editions. But we can't avoid a few disappointments: no Japanese voices and no cross-buy between Vita and PS3.- JeuxActu

With a certain lack of new games since the launch of the PS4, there was some pressure on inFAMOUS Second Son. This new installment is the first in the series to become a symbol of a new generation of consoles. If the game isn't error-free, it's also exhilarating once you get a rather large range of super-powers. Like the former episodes, Second Son offers a very powerful feeling of freedom. Added to beautiful visuals that generate lighting and particle effects all over the place, you can say InFAMOUS Second Son is the handsome guy of the PS4.- JeuxActu

Ground Zeroes is full of promises. The fact is that Metal Gear has barely ever been so enjoyable, so smooth to play. The open-world gameplay fits perfectly with the essence of the series and this clearly brings something more. Epic, beautiful (even if we can hope for more once PS3 and Xbox 360 won't be the main targets), flexible and easy to comprehend and to manipulate, Ground Zeroes is, nevertheless, only some kind of blown up DLC. As long as it's sold as a full game, even with a price cut, it will not meet expectations.- JeuxActu
