Everybody's Golf is a catchy golf game with a real challenge and has a good feel to it, but some points let it down like the repetitive solo mode, and the useless Golf Island open world.

No surprise for the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of Syberia The World Before, which continue the fine work done by Microids Studio Paris started last March with the release of the game on PC. The adaptation on new gen consoles is a great success, both visually and in terms of handling, with more pleasant controls on the joystick than with the keyboard-mouse duo.

Republique Remastered is a very special game that's at peace with it's mobile gaming origins, and succeeds in bringing a very good game to the "grown up" PC world. The only drawback is the unknown tied to the lack of the 4th and 5th chapters, that should theoretically be released for free later. We can only hope they're as good as the first three existing chapters. Anyway, get your passport from this Republic: you won't regret it.

Planed to act as a demonstration of Wii U's capabilities, Nintendo Land is actually more than that. Despite a great number of basic mini-games, this product features three fantastic concepts based on Mario, Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing's worlds. As fun as Mario Kart, these mini-games can justify the purchase of Nintendo Land alongside the Wii U.

StarHawk is a pleasant surprise. Predicted as a very multiplayer TPS, it reveals a nice campaign, which is a true advantage in this kind of game. Multi is a little bit disapointing : game modes are far too classic and you'll have to fight with your friends to establish a real strategy. That's too bad, with its nice graphics and its versatile gameplay, StarHawk could have been one of the very best.

With Skylanders Giants and the introduction of big figurines, we were clearly waiting for major changes in terms of gameplay. However, the new title of the successful IP only appears to be a small update to the previous episode. And yet, the adventure remains complete and mostly pleasant thanks to a colorful production that will occupy our children for hours, either in the game or in their schoolyard.

TrackMania 2: Lagoon is a good game overall but if feels awfully similar to any other TrackMania game out there and specially the Turbo opus. On the other hand, if you missed that 2016 episode and have Canyon Stadium and Valley, Lagoon is a must have.

Without changing deeply, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment has reached a new level thanks to the Unreal Engine 3. 19th century London's atmosphere is perfectly rendered. Frogwares tries to push its concept further by giving more freedom to the player. He can now call someone guilty, without even any proof, which makes him more responsible. The mini-games are still very fun, even though some of them are quite imprecise, but overall this new Sherlock should satisfy the fans and maybe newcomers.

If you already have the previous one, you really don't need this Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. There is not enough new features and content to justify the opening of your wallet. However, huge fans, wealthy players and new challengers would probably try the five new characters and levels, as well as the Power Blow.

It's a strange feeling to play this Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. The gaming experience is both exciting and frustrating. Exciting because replaying this adventure fifteen years ago has remained almost intact. Apart from a few aspects of the gameplay that have aged badly (because the gameplay was originally built for the Wiimote and Nunchunk) and its bosses that are still disappointing (like in 2010, it hasn't changed), the game still shines with its ingenious game design, its well-crafted level design and its gameplay that is still as square. Where Donkey Kong Country Returns HD disappoints is in its basic, almost lazy adaptation. Apart from the HD smoothing, it's the same game in every way, and it's true that in 2025, some models have aged. And then, we would have also liked Nintendo to offer us exclusive content for this Switch version, as was the case when the game was released on 3DS in 2013.

With awesome graphics and a renewed gameplay, it's hard not to recommend Street Fighter 5, but its economic model based on filling an empty game with DLC's has certainly taken its toll on our will.

If Project Zero 2 remains identical to the version released in 2005 on PS3 regarding its hair-raising universe and its original gameplay, the Wii title won't give the IP a new lease of life. Graphically the same, Project Zero 2: Wii Edition also suffers from bad game controls, the Wiimote clearly better for party-games. It's really infortunate when you know that horror titles are not many on Wii.

Square Enix made a beat'em all with this Dragon Quest Heroes, but it's no betrayal. Beautiful to watch and to listen to, nervous and well-paced, this new entry is a big success and a very good first try on PS4.

After Child of Light, Valiant Hearts is another great game from Ubisoft on the UbiART Framework engine. And it proves the publisher can make something great, even with a tiny budget. Even with its WWI background, Valiant Hearts isn't just an historic documentary: it's really a story-driven title, which focuses on characters and successfully displays quite classic gameplay.

World of Final Fantasy is not a fan-service product only. It really manages to get the spirit of IP's like Pokémon or Persona to adapt it to Final Fantasy Universe. Furthermore, the game offers a deep fighting system and a great evolution structure that makes it really addictive.

CyberConnect2 has listened to fans' feedback for Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, and it was the right decision. The mistakes of Generations are behind now and we're offered a really good Story mode, even if you'll be only watching your screen most of the time. With a huge choice of characters and a still very efficient gameplay, Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is obviously the very best episode.

Very exciting on paper, Back 4 Blood still blows hot and cold once you take it in hand. It's a good shooter, yes. The atmosphere and the Left 4 Dead touch are directly perceptible, of course. The card system extends life and encourages players to be strategic, okay. But there are still too many small imperfections here and there to consider the game a total success.

Much easier and down on the graphical standpoint too, Poochy & Yoshi's Wooly World is still a very good platformer game, even if it's aimed at a younger audience hence the addition of Poochy, a good pup that helps the player around with combat and discovering secrets. The genuine game on Wii U is the one to go for, but if you only own the portable console, Poochy & Yoshi's Wooly World is still a safe bet.

After Marsupilami The Secret of the Sarcophagus in 2021, the Ocellus studio is now tackling the Smurfs license, at the request of Microids of course. After taking inspiration from Donkey Kong Country 3 years ago, it was a certain Super Mario 3D World that served as the basis for this epic of dreams, and once again, the result is satisfactory. Whether visually or in its gameplay, everything is done with care and a certain quality. There are even some flashes of brilliance in certain passages, such as the mirror level, the free fall in Tetris mode and the infiltration mission, not to mention these huge bosses to face who are also not lacking in game design ideas. No, really, it's clean and square as they say, even if deep down, it lacks risk-taking and diversity. In the meantime, this Smurfs: Epic Dreams does its job very well and does what is asked of it: a platform game suitable for young and old, playable in cooperation to mix generations, and therefore have a good time.

If Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition allows a new audience to discover a cult PS1 game in good conditions, the latter could have been better. On the one hand, this remaster benefits from updated graphics, an improved soundtrack but also new accessibility options and exclusive content that makes it interesting both for neophytes and for those who know already the title. But on the other hand, between the lack of a tutorial, perfectible menu ergonomics, but above all a still unstable framerate, this update could have offered a better rendering. It remains to be seen whether patches will correct some of its problems in the future to make the experience even more pleasant.

Riders Republic is a bit like Forza Horizon by bike, ski, wingsuit… and less successful, we're not going to lie to each other! The game is far from bad, but its "cringe" dialogues, the endless Ubisoftian micro-transactions, and its sometimes surprising physique prevent it from really reaching new heights.

With Empire of the Ants, Microids has its first major game, capable of holding its own against the big productions of 2024. The sentence may seem surreal to some, given the inglorious past of the french company (even if it has some very decent and very enjoyable titles in its catalog, let's not forget), but the effort is very real. By betting on the developers of Tower Five, the French publisher has hit the nail on the head, because not only has the studio proven that it has mastered the use of Unreal Engine 5 to perfection, making their title one of the most beautiful games of this year, but they have also found the perfect formula for adapting the RTS to consoles, with controller controls.

You liked Portal ? Then you'll like Quantum Conundrum. It's impossible not to compare the two title as they have so many similarities in terms of narration and gameplay. Of course, the players won't be as surprised as they were with Valve's title, but surely they will spend some good times as well. Playing with dimensions is something easy to learn and it's a real pleasure to solve the many puzzles the game has to offer. And for a low price, there is no reason not to be tempted.

With Rocksmith, Ubisoft offers a fun experience that will create a bunch of new guitarists thanks to a great learning method, using tabs and clear video tutorials. Moreover, with its interesting song list, though not really eclectic, Rocksmith will occupy players for hours, until they decide to get the different DLC pack released to date that will extend their game length and enhance their level with new skills.
